but from people i sparred against, hard DI out sometimes gets them out, sometimes it doesnt

if you werent aware tho, that was how it was last patch as well (at least from my experience)

it depends on how early they start DI-ing the jab face steal that prevents it from working

but if you catch them trying to DI later than they're supposed to it still works, even if they're holding away

you might have to hold a bit to the right to hit the face steal ability but it still works

This works against some characters but others are able to dodge the facesteal. If anything this just shows how poorly the game is balanced that certain characters can just flat out dodge faster or incur less hitstun than others. It makes some sense at different damages and facing different weight opponents buts it's just bad design that starting at 0 some characters can dodge combos and others can't
