I understand that the moderation team have no control over this, but I'd like for this to be escalated to a Community Manager, or some sort of WB employee.

There are no moderation bots at all in the server, only limited moderators that are completely volunteers with real life jobs, family events etc. I can understand legal issues and other issues that the company may face, such as a bot that can be hacked and the company may face leaked issues etc. But even creating your own self-hosted bot, or moderation bot yourself, is FINE.

Moderators resources are extreamly limited, an easy DM raid can go on, tons of issues can happen, and the moderation team can't do a lot due to this. Regardless if they are trying their best, Discord's own resources isn't good enough to support them. I care for the team and server, and this is nothing against you or the moderation team. Simply want the best.

Hey, I'm glad you decided to require Phone Numbers and other verification now. However, I may have an idea on how to solve the ode channel problem. You might be able to set up a mod bot that looks at every message in the channel, and if it includes a server link, delete the message automatically. It might get a while to set up, but It could help filter the messages. Just my Idea though.

This fear of a meme channel is unfounded as it relies on a belief that this server resides in a vaccuum in which trolls are an infinite quantity. If genuine people are posting and engaging with humorous images online, the trolls will eventually get outweighed naturally by staff intervention. Every hour the channels have one blank notification in which nothing was seemingly send, because we have active mods. More-so than unofficial inferior discords. There were some with 50-60k members with a meme channel that are already difficult for us to moderate on top of all the other existing channels as memes open up a lot of opportunity for offensive jokes, questionable humor points, inappropriate references, and more. It’s beyond just trolls abusing it or NSFW content being shared. We also have to moderate the content posted by members with good intentions that don’t realize a meme is not appropriate for the server one way or another. It’s much more common and much more of a hassle than you are thinking it is, especially on top of checking all the other channels.

And we are at 93k members BEFORE open beta or launch.

Regardless if the request makes practical sense isn't the point of the channel, its meant for suggestions. Getting upset because you see unrealistic suggestions probably isn't a wise idea. If anything gets too excessive it will be reviewed, but it shouldn't be discouraged to suggest whomever you like to see regardless if its realistic or not. This applies to characters/stages/other suggestions.

Not allowing swearing when Discord is 13+ is pretty dumb, everyone on this site swears, the only reason to disallow it is for kids younger than that, who literally aren't allowed on this site anyway.

The way this is done is executed horribly though. By themselves, swear words are bad, but there's a need to say some for example, a c-word when saying "Tyc**n". I got automodded and muted for about 5 minutes (or more) because of that. As well as saying "gr_pe". The automodding is extremely harsh and doesn't have any idea of context. I guess we have to pick and choose our words, lol
