You guys nerfed Finn way too hard. He already wasn't represented in the top 100 except by one player. Why does a character that isn't good enough to make it to high rank warrant a nerf? His KO potential on most of his moves is way too low, and he dies too early due to the assassin passive. Anyway, I switched mains, but Finn was more fun when every fight wasn't an uphill battle.

For the love of christ please nerf harley, the fact she has hit priority on a lot of her moves is honestly bullsh*t. i started as a fin main but when i herd he was op i switched to harley cause i like how they play but i dont like going meta characters, so im pretty annoyed now that everyone is saying harley is op. fin op, bugs op, velma op, superman op, t&j. hey, maybe the players are just better, isn't that an option? granted a lot of those characters can be very powerful and have some powerful moves and combos but i also body a lot of them cause the player is not that good.

It'd be really nice if the game didn't switch from bots to normal any time you go into mode select. Playing 1v1 against bots for dailies, then switch to 2v2 for an assist daily and oops, it defaulted back to normal and I'm stuck against players. Bleh.

For a slightly more actionable and less subjective piece of feedback than all the balance complaints:
The Perk selection interface needs some QOL changes; I'm constantly entering matches without all 3 perks equipped because they got removed between rounds or because trying to select a perk sometimes doesn't actually cause anything to change.

More specifically:
•Ally perks should be maintained between rounds (this is the more important change IMO),
and
•Selecting a perk you already have equipped shouldn't do nothing. It should move the 'cursor' at least, or overwrite the currently highlighted perk. I end up clicking three perks and only equipping 1 or 2 all the time because the first one did nothing and the next ones overwrite that one.

Aside from REALLY needing some offline play options, I also say that the "Get the most assists in 25 games" task needs to be altered (or at least make it more clear what the definition of assists are and make them a bit easier to use, some things seem to be glitched and often don't count towards assists to my knowledge)

The servers still need work, I'm wired with a 1gb connection and still get matches where opponents animation frames are like 15 fps so it's hard to tell sometimes when to predict a move or know when the recovery is happening.

The game also has a hit box problem where characters have moves with high priority for what feels like no good reason (and I'm not talking about super armor)

Are we ever going to see a character whose down air doesn't spike? I get that it's really satisfying to hit with, but it's not something every character needs. Multi-hits, stall-and-falls, even just down airs that hit up or to the side are perfectly fine.

It’s pretty painfully obvious just from the new trailer alone that Morty’s voice lines are all recycled from the show which is pretty disappointing. Was there an issue getting Justin Roiland in the studio or something? I believe an additional class should be made named All-Arounders/Generalists instead of just throwing these characters in the bruiser class. To me Shaggy and Taz are consummate bruisers, high health, aggressive melee characters that get in your face and deal big damage or combos.

LeBron, Batman and especially Morty do not feel like bruisers to me. Batman for one is one of the lightest characters in the game and heavily relies on a projectile game to win neutral for him, sure he has good rush down but I’d argue his bombs and batarang are the feared part of this character. LeBron is probably the consummate generalist in the entire game, has elements of a support character in teams, has elements of a mage with his ball setups, he feels probably the least like a bruiser of anything.
Morty similarly is a straight up all arounder character, half the time he’s spamming projectiles and running around the stage at high speeds.

I think giving these characters a proper tag would alleviate concerns about too many characters being bruisers and also give the class a more defined meaning

It's incredibly common in Platform Fighters actually. Especially ones that have built-in Ranking systems. A lot of the problem stems from the game just not feeling complete yet. We still have a problem with hitboxes/hurtboxes, we have maybe... 5 maps total, 2 of which are unanimously hated, the roster's small and the difference between characters' usefulness is VERY well showcased by this point cause it's incredibly unbalanced atm, and there's been a lot of delays in the game overall.

Please add per-character control settings... I made the horrendous mistake of enabling Legacy mode when I first started playing, which happened to work fine for my two mains. But it makes practically every other character impossible to play as. Since moves behave differently in the air compared to on hte ground with a lot of characters. I can't play velma at all without turning legacy mode off, but I don't want to do that and go into the settings every time I want to play as her...

@lucid bolt I think Morty needs a better grounded up-attack, maybe a different one when his gun is on cooldown. When his gun is charged, it is able to knock a player up, but when on cooldown, the up-attack does nothing. Every other character in the game is able to knock a character up with their grounded up-attack.

god it just feels like some characters are meant to be played with legacy mode, and some characters aren't. God I wish it let me choose per-character. I tried practicing with it off on some characters and that would feel fine, then I'd switch to my other character and it's not fine, can't get used to it. god.

I'm certain this has been said a hundred times in here already but I really hope that getting Roiland in the recording booth to give Morty (and Rick too, it seems) original voicelines becomes a top priority eventually. A huge selling point for this game has become the interactions between characters and that magic is unfortunately lost at the moment, the dialogue from Morty that does come up feels out of place.

Y'all should consider making a system that allows the player to setup control layouts for separate characters. I usually play with my grounded side and neutral attack swapped but I prefer default controls on a few characters. The only way to get around this currently is to manually change the options every time you want to switch characters. A character specific controls feature would alleviate this tedious way of doing this. Look to Overwatch's key bindings menu for inspiration. Thanks.

Bugs's Flying Rabbit Foot is so overwhelming. It can kill, it feels like it has priority, and his air speed with its hitbox makes it so safe. Trying to dodge that, a rocket, and a safe all moving horizontally, and whatever the other teammate is throwing out is so hard to deal with

Bugs in general needs a full hitbox overhaul- the main reason he's so oppressive is because his hitboxes are so oversized for how small his hurtbox is/how little endlag he has in total, so you have to respect him at a distance that for most characters is way too far to punish a move you KNOW is going to come.

The games servers are pretty freaking terrible. In Alpha and Open Beta (in July), they were really good. However, after Season 1 released, it just been a terrible time. From lagging servers, to unregistered hits, and balancing that doesn't feel like it makes sense, it just isn't a great time right now. I think that a lot of the problems with the game are going to be remedied by actually having working servers. There are more than the occasional games that are unplayable due to lag and it needs to be fixed sooner than later.

This game is not very graphically demanding, I don't see why it can't come to Mobile as many modern day smartphones with Snapdragon Gen 8 are quite capable, I mean even at least 720p 60fps would be decent and very much possible. Fortnite was able to accomplish something at such scale, so had Minecraft and compared to Multiversus, far less graphically demanding. I can see why it's not on the Nintendo Switch but of course that would be quite nice.

I think it's not secret that server stability for all regions isn't the best, I have played with my friend on Oceania and there are occasions where I freeze mid air, get randomly low latency, inviting friends also seems to sometimes not send a notification. I'm thinking that anti-cheat is a bit too agressive, I am glad I haven't run into any hackers, but maybe it something that could be looked into.

Make a competition for "design your dream multiverse character" and ask reddit and other social medias to submit their ideas to a website, and people can vote for characters. It would not only create so much discussion, but it would also make the community happy.

Am I the only one having a hard time aiming normal neutral attacks on characters like Morty, Batman? I use an Xbox controller and whenever I want to shoot (as a Morty) right, it almost automatically turns left at the last second and I shoot at the opposite direction. I'm starting to believe somebody kidnapped Tony from #pfg-tweets in the last couple weeks and is holding a gun to his head 'cause ain't no way ya'll think Superman is balanced. IT'S A COMBO EXTENDER THAT APPLIES NO DEBUFFS ON ITS OWN, HELLO? The character themselves, Morty, has worse knockout power than Reindog, like, bruh. when the next character comes out, don't make them be ultra trash too

nerf batman's battarang its way too op, it makes it so that you cant attack him because if the battarang is thrown if you dodge you get attacked instantly by the opposing player if you dont you get put in a high dmg combo and if u somehow can dodge and manage to hit him your attack gets cancelled by a returning battarang.
