that's understandable. but imo, playing melee with people around your level (whether that be high or low) is the most fun you can have in a plat fighter.
only problem is that the skill gaps are so wide that it's hard to find people that aren't wildly different skill levels

so a ton of games tend to be rolls unless you find someone to play with regularly
