ppg side special is a special case imo. it's a projectile that doubles as a teleport if you use it in the air and aerial version had a "grab" hitbox that just deletes armor

It legit wasn't a drastic change though. Frankly at most helped dealing with characters that could literally litter the stage, like they're some sort bullet hail boss.

Hell before shields you could still just steal a turn by mashing dodge the nano second you whiffed. (That, low whiff recovery, and overly generous dodge cancelling, is a bigger problem imo)
