Batman is the easiest to pick up by far
Arya and lebron will will very difficult but rewarding if you practise their mechanics
Rick play around projectiles and manipulating so he can go in with them

As The Offspring say, “Ya gotta keep ‘em separated!” Which is easier said than done especially when you have a bot partner, believe me I know. Banana Guard pokes and spear are how I best do it. A real turtle approach. Buffing when you have enough space and just being real patient

saw a video showcasing iron giant TOD after he was put out of the game for a while annd people where crying about it like we dont have to endure enough BS already because of iron giant's hitbox. especially in 1v1 people can just do a TOD on you or spam buttons that otherwise would have risk reward factor to it got their risk part removed because of the hurtbox.

Not at all even close to an Arcade ladder really. I’m talking straight fighting for 8 levels where the only thing you have to worry about is bot difficulty. No stage hazards, no gems, no perks, no unlockables, no costume requirements, just fighting. Literally every other fighting game has one

Insanity Cheese I’ve exploited to decent effect: Techno Terror. Banana Guard poke plus Armature gem is SILLY. If you can get to the ledge and guard with the side attack those Armature gauntlets ruin days for the bots

I know they've been tweaking the game, but it's been a month since launch with 0 new maps, characters announced, or even dates to expect things

It wouldn't be so jarring if the launch trailer didn't show off so much stuff that we still can't use, like the Warner Lot and Agent Smith

Some tips for anyone grinding Power Pledge Event:

Any characters you have under 7 are the ones to grind for XP fast on rifts.

Any character with 0 or 1 should be your priority to grind XP for first.

My rec is use the horror rift and repeat fighting Jason boss battle - easy or experienced.

The key to getting a ton of XP per round is to use a wide range of the characters moveset. The more of the characters move set you use you’ll end the game with sometimes 80-100XP.

Just grind until you level up the character and then jump to another character to keep going.

I'd never really done custom games before but assumed you could add the match effects from rifts to them. They really should have a mode where you can.

Even just basic stuff like adding the VHS filter from the Jason rift or that one from the beach rift where you have infinite jumps and only a small platform would be so fun.

Multiversus folks I need your aid, I like to do stupid stuff sometimes and I made a moveset for my own character (because I am a dork), however I have an issue, his down-air-special is just Stripe's, I am just realizing it now. I'm trying to figure out a way to make it more unique, and I'm thinking I'd just have it launch my guy directly towards the ground without him dealing damage, the big explosion causes damage, but the flying idiot doesn't. Would that be different enough or should I just try my best to do something entirely new (I just really like explosions)

Those stages are great for casual format. Bring those stages into competitive however and it opens the door for cheese tactics that toss investment and acquired skill level out the window.

Dexter's is not fine when you're fighting the stage more than you are the actual characters on the screen. Townsville is not fine when the strongest fighter in the match is actually an omni-present stage hazard. Basketball is not fine because of walls, hoop collisions, and an even lower ceiling than cromulons.

It has... more or less. The stages are random, but you can select the list of random stages that can get picked. You can put only one there if you want to. So it's choosing with extra steps.

I have solved my issue.

My character's explosion only goes down (or down diagonal), doesn't require set-up and only the explosion itself deals damage. Turns it from a "gotcha" to a last ditch "I need to get back to the ground NOW"

The beta fell off hard cus they released like 8 characters in 3 months then had nothing new to add to the game.

while they might have gone overboard (they already addressed that they are working on it) this way the gameplay is much more intentional and though out. there is a reason why only the tryhards are still playing melee, thats because it's appealing for the high level players only
i played the beta and watched a bunch of it and at the time it was fine, but looking back it was very rewarding to spam due to how fast everything was
im aware that spamming is still seems as rewarding, but other than infinites, which are also being addressed by them, it is very easy to punish spammers, just like in ultimate
i really think they made the right call with this one, but they may have gone a tiny bit overboard

the removal of attack decay and introduction of stale attack was also a good move in my opinion

yeah i was just looking through some of them.
didn't know some of them had the characters with them.
because most of the ones I looked at only had skins and banners.
but now am considering Samurai Batman and Warrior Gizmo.

Which is fair. I just don't think uncommon or rare skins should be bundled with legendary profile pics or banners. The uncommon Joker with the Jason mask bundle was over 2500 gleemium since it included a legendary ringout . It doesn't feel like the value is there for many of the bundles which I'm hoping they improve upon.

i don't know why people bad mouth him. he's actually really good. i'm still learning his little tricks but he has like 2 moves that can totally fake an opponent. and one that is almost as good WW's swing around attack.

For Tom and Jerry players, is it easy to get better with him or should I look for another character to main?

Like I don't mind diffculty, the character seems quite fun but I'm not sure if it's like Finn where there's only one or two REALLY good combos for him which you could easily learn.
