That's the main issue with some characters in the game from being specific to a certain mode:

Iron Giant is a walking hitbox in singles from how he has no teammate to protect him, Batman slightly has a harder time focusing on a enemy from how there's 2 enemies to look out for.

And then there's Superman who's good in both modes

Balancing the roles is a headache since they have to be made with a purpose, those are mainly one trick like helping a teammate and that's it

i'd make the same case for the warner siblings. most of the times they're together causing havoc and that's what makes their chaos impactful, they bounce off each other, bickering with one another like siblings but also working together to drive their " special friend " insane. separating them would be sort of criminal like i get people would want to play as each one of them but i think they'd just take unnecessary space for roster slots even if the game is live service and they span them out for one season. for duo characters like mordecai and rigby/gumball and darwin yea you can separate them but for trios like the warners and ppg i'd say it's probably for the best to keep them as three in one. just make them able to switch out between each other

Honestly the designs aren't bad if you're not saying they're the same characters. But they're written pretty horribly TBH (Velma's probably the most unlikeable MC I've ever seen).

Fred was unironically the most likeable character, and he was one of the characters INTENDED to be unlikeable XD

dude had all the best lines and was the only character to actually grow as a person
