We come to you with some changes you will be seeing soon within the staff.
First, big shoutout to our chat mods and event host who have now all officially completed the internship period. We appreciate all of the work and dedication you put into this server; the community wouldnât be what it is without you â¤ď¸
Second, as time passes, schedules and lives change, and for us staff that means reevaluating what we can realistically contribute to the server. You will notice that there has been a creation of new role titled: âadvisor.â This position is for essentially retired admins that will relinquish the responsibilities of an active admin but be kept on as, you guessed it, an advisor to the staff. In the event of an emergency you may still reach out to advisors, but we ask that if any help is needed you first contact a mod or admin.
Our admin Aaron has made the decision to become the serverâs first advisor; we are endlessly grateful for everything heâs contributed to the server and support and respect his decision to step down as an admin and into this role. â¤ď¸

In light of a new year, weâve decided to do some server refinements!
In #reaction-roles, we have created Channel roles. These roles will unlock some of the channels listed below.
Changes to channels:
⢠Claras-zen-garden has been renamed to #897177510385705031 and has a revamped corresponding role
⢠History has merged into Laboratory and the channel renamed #school-smart and has a revamped corresponding role
⢠Fine-arts-studio, Library, Music-booth, Red-room, Kitchen and Cinematic-media have all been merged into two separate channels #art-literature-crafts and #other-fandoms and both have a revamped corresponding role
⢠Trivia-room has been merged into #game-cave and has a new role with the same corresponding name, including a @/trivia role so thereâs no need to ping all of game cave.
⢠Event-info-and-updates has been renamed to #event-info
⢠Questions-and-suggestions has been renamed #server-questions
⢠#Positivity has gotten a new role @/Your Light but the channel will remain public
Check channel descriptions for more info on channels and donât forget to grab the new roles
The next thing to note is we have done away with Admin Pings.
Previous channels will be accessible to view until Feb 11th so that everyone may collect any previous messages that you would like to resend in their new respective channel.

After receiving much valued input from the members of our community, we are working hard to amend our rules and improve our wording.
We reflected heavily on our actions, and wish to extend a sincere apology for bringing harm and discomfort to some of our many cherished community members. We realized we phrased certain things insensitively. It is never our intention to cause any members harm, but we recognize that some of our recent actions have done just that. Moving forward, we plan to take better care to be mindful of our wording and decisions in order to continue to make this server a safe space for as many as possible.
We hope to grow from this and are deeply grateful for those who took their time to provide constructive feedback and help us learn. After some discussion, we realized that many of the identity hearts were not included in the emotes. As such, we made the decision to remove all the hearts and stick with just 
-- the EPIC Family heart. We made this decision to make sure no one feels left out or unseen. We see you and we love you. This is a heart that we all use to greet each other with Open Arms, welcoming all members with eagerness, kindness and love.

Just want to reiterate an old announcement: only staff is allowed to host games/events.
Discord came out with the arcade feature and we let those games be an exception. Those games are still allowed to be hosted by anyone on VC as long as everyone abides by the rules.
With that being said, we made the decision that GARTIC PHONE can only be hosted by staff.

As the server continues to grow exponentially, it becomes increasingly difficult to moderate and dictate the creative writing that is submitted within that thread as there are many grey areas that staff has to take into account.
From now on if a member wishes to share an EPIC fanfic, they are NOT allowed to post it or the link within the server. However, members are still allowed to let others know they recently saw a writing piece they enjoyed and can DM the link to anyone interested. (EPIC analytical pieces can still be posted within #đŹď¸ąepic-chat or #đľď¸ąepic-lyric-chains)
In order to allow members to save anything they wish, the thread will be accessible to view for a week until it is closed.

As many of us are aware, sometimes the Carl-Bot (Lyre) glitches out and doesn't give every user the role they reacted to. We updated the #đ︹reaction-roles channel. This does not affect the users who already had the role(s) they wanted.
If you do not have the role you want, you might have been one of those who Carl-bot glitched out on â please react to the roles you want and do not have. If it still doesn't give you the role, please try to unreact and react again every so often. With a big server, the bot can miss a few people.

By Jan 1, 2024, we plan to replace the @/Winions role with the @/Verified Winion role.
The bot @minor locust will automatically send new users a DM to get the verification process started (will take about 3 seconds).
Current users with only the @/Winion role, please head over to #đ︹rules and select the âVerifyâ button, so yâall can get the new role.
If current members donât verify by the due date, their access to the server will be restricted to only public channels.

We will be renaming #/epic-songs to #đľď¸ąepic-lyric-chains. The purpose of this is so that those who enjoy lyric chains can continue them without interruption! Please only use that channel for lyric chains of official EPIC songs - no parody or meme song lyrics.
We will be adding a new channel called #đšď¸ąepic-music-analysis. This channel will be for discussing the music/instrumentals of EPIC. This channel will be for discussing the details in the music of EPIC (ex. musical motifs, the specific instruments assigned to each character, etc.) This is NOT a place to share sheet music or instrumentals you have created yourself for personal use. General reminder that sharing/distributing unofficial sheet music of EPIC: The Musical is a violation of copyright and is not allowed on the server. The sharing of these materials makes it harder for Jorge and the EPIC team to produce official sheet music.

Hey everyone! We've got two new announcements about the server for you 
Due to consistent misunderstandings of Rule 10 (no unsupervised karaoke/no singing in VCs), as well as frequent complaints that a designated voice-channel for music has to allow for singing, Staff has decided to remove Music VC from the server /info. Everyone is still free to use the music bot in either of the General VCs going forward, provided that all queued songs are family-friendly! 
At this time, we have no plans to replace Music VC with a third General VC, but we will re-evaluate if the need arises

Hey everyone! We wanted to announce an update to our server rules After much deliberation, staff has decided to make an adjustment to Rule 10: now, official EPIC songs are the ONLY songs (both released sagas & future releases) that can be sung in any VC 
No other songs (regardless of whether they're family-friendly or not) can be sung in VCs, unless it's part of a karaoke hosted by an event host /info. Hey everyone! This will be an announcement primarily regarding systems, Rule 8, and PluralKit /info. As our server and community continue to grow, staff has noticed the overall increase in new members who are unaccustomed to seeing proxy messages sent through PluralKit and/or do not know what DID/OSDD entails. In order to lighten the overall burden on systems (who have had to regularly re-explain themselves), staff has worked with multiple systems in our community to draft an embed command that explains Rule 8 and links to relevant educational resources.
You can use this self-deleting command by typing ~rule8pk (I'll send the command below as an example). Although this embed may be sent in any channel as needed, we ask that you try to avoid spamming it and to test the command in #đ¤ď¸ąbot-commands if desired. Staff will also pin this command to #đŹď¸ąchatroom and add it to Rule 8 (so new members can easily find it).

Staff wants to address an issue we've seen in the community as of late: treating alters as their sources and source jokes in general.
We expect every member of this community to be treated with respect, full stop. Treating alters as their sources, or trying to roleplay with them, is unacceptable and against server rules.
With that being said, we want to address those who are sourced from EPIC: The Musical -
We understand that jokes and remarks about specific EPIC characters are insulting when they're directed at you, and we support you establishing boundaries with others in chat /gen.
However, when they are not directed at you, you do not have the authority to jump in and tell others that they cannot make fandom jokes or remarks about EPIC in the official EPIC: The Musical server.
We realize that source jokes are a sensitive issue and we as staff want to do our best in supporting systems where we can, however we cannot ask that members not discuss or make jokes about the plot of EPIC.
If such comments are harmful to your wellbeing, then we encourage you to disengage with the server. Ultimately, you are responsible for your own triggers and, while we understand how frustrating misunderstandings in chatroom can be, we also cannot allow members to lash out when others make comments that are not in violation of our server rules.

Hey friends!
Staff wanted to make an announcement regarding updates on the EPIC Singing VC:
When we said to not exclude people or harass others in VC, we meant it. We also meant it when we said that we will take action if these basic rules are broken.
Going forward, "hosting" is no longer allowed in VC beyond simply keeping track of the queue order. You are NOT allowed to implement your own rules. The updated server rules around the singing VC are as follows:
When any member joins the VC and wants to sing, they will be added to the end of the current queue/waiting list.
Each person may only sing ONE song before returning to the end of the list (rejoining the queue occurs after you have finished performing your song). If multiple members are singing one song together, all participating members must return to the end of the line. No one can "cast" singers to any characters for more than one song at a time.
When it's your turn to sing, you may choose whatever song from EPIC you'd like. You do NOT have to go in chronological order or participate in entire sing-throughs. For example, if ten people in a row want to sing "Ruthlessness," they are more than welcome to.
Excluding or harassing others WILL lead to server mutes, kicks, and/or bans without the chance to appeal. Per Rule 2, we do not tolerate disrespect of any of the members within our community. Trying to enforce a sing-through or any rules not outlined above will result in a server mute.
Due to the popularity of singing, staff will also be adding a second EPIC Singing VC to give more members a chance to participate. However, if the above rules are not followed (particularly bullet point #4), the EPIC Singing VCs will be removed entirely and the server will return to having no singing allowed at all /srs.
If you have any questions that are not already answered in this announcement or the server rules, you may open a server ticket. Staff will not be answering any questions that are explicitly answered above or within our rules.

With the upcoming release of the Ithaca Saga, we wanted to address some of the triggering topics that will be present in this albumâparticularly the themes of sexual assault (SA) in "Hold Them Down."
This is a family-friendly space. However, there is some leniency on dark topics specifically when it comes to the plot of EPIC, because everyone who has joined the server can reasonably expect to see discussion around the showâs content. Once the new saga releases, staff asks that all members add a trigger warning AND spoiler block any discussion surrounding themes of SA in EPIC. Hello everyoneâstaff has seen many of your frustrations over the new Rule 8 update and would like to clarify our intentions as well as compromise on the way it's implemented going forward:
First, to everyone in the server: as many systems have been saying repeatedly, ALL alters (regardless of their source) are their own people and have no control over who they are or how they form. If you are not well-versed in DID/OSDD, there are pinned resources in #/chatroom and #/school-smart that can get you started. Per Rule 2, unfamiliarity is not an excuse for disrespectâeveryone's identity is real and valid, and staff will not tolerate members who engage with systems in bad faith or intentionally disrespect them.
The intention behind the original rule adjustment was to address the increasingly persistent issue of extensive and frequently hostile arguments in our main chatroom (which reached a peak right before the Ithaca Saga release). Many members, both singlets and systems alike, have consistently filed complaints about this problem in the past few months. It was not staff's intention to imply that EPIC-sourced fictives cannot defend themselvesâhowever, we recognize how this decision ultimately came off as infantilizing, and we would like to apologize for the hurt it has caused /gen.
For further context, as this server has rapidly grown over the past year, staff has worked with systems in the community on several solutions for the above issue (such as server announcements suggested by systems, an educational embed drafted with community system input, and pinning system-provided resources in multiple channels). However, large amounts of new and uneducated members in the server continue to trigger systems by falsely assuming they're bots or their sources, and at the same time, many new members have been heavily discouraged from speaking after being repeatedly and publicly criticized over misunderstandings they are apologetic for. In the past month or so, tensions have been high enough that many members have lashed out at others over EPIC jokes and opinions, even when they're not directed at fictives.
Staff has spoken with and heard from multiple systems in the past few days, and we appreciate your patience as we continue to work our way through the unanswered tickets. Thus far, the commonly expressed bottom line is that all members are able to and responsible for managing their own triggers, and that it is especially important for alters to be able to decide for themselves whether or not they want to mask. Therefore, effective immediately, it will now be a recommendation but not a requirement for EPIC fictives to speak through an alternate proxy or base account. This is with the expectation that EPIC-sourced fictives, especially those who are closely connected to their source or sensitive to source jokes, should enter this server with caution and front or engage with other fans at their own risk.
Prior to this, staff has been much more lenient on systems who engage in these arguments (as it relates to respect over their trauma), while simultaneously banning a high percentage of singlets. Moving forward, staff will be equally strict on those who deliberately disrespect alters and those who attack other members over being confused. We would like to re-emphasize that anyone who purposefully engages with systems in bad faith is not welcome in this server, but neither are those who react with hostility to genuine confusion. It is our hope that this decision will not appear to place blame on either side, but rather underscore staff's main priority: keeping hostile arguments, disrespect, and harassment off the server.

I wanted to share an upcoming moderation change!
After a lot of internal discussion, weâve decided to remove PluralKit from the server. This wasnât an easy call, and itâs not a judgment of systems or anyone who used it in good faith! As the server has grown very large, PK has made moderation, reporting, and conflict resolution significantly more difficult, and it has increasingly led to misunderstandings and frequent disputes that leave people feeling uncomfortable or unsafe. 
Our goal is to keep this space welcoming and manageable for everyone, including the mod team that keeps things running. This decision was made collectively after staff discussion, including feedback from systems on and off the team.
I ask that we please do not harass or target the staff over this change!! Theyâre acting with care and juggling a lot to keep this server running and the community healthy!! đŤ

Now onto the discord, first of all weâve added in a MEE6 roles system courtesy of MEE6 premium from the lovely @tribal forge < 3! As you chat you passively gain random XP every minute (Spamming doesnât work! Iâm looking at you in the back!) and as you gain certain milestones (5, 10, 25, 50, 75, 100) you will receive a cool new role. These are purely cosmetic and currently serve no real purpose other than for the flex. You can check your rank by doing !rank in #đ¤ď¸ąbot-commands! Currently the ranks are named after Ancient Greek military structure but if you have any ideas for a new structure or perks for some ranks then just shoot us any ideas in #đłď˝server-questions!
Second of all, you may have noticed the âCommunity Eventsâ stage has appeared in the Voice Chat category - Iâm not going to go into full details about what it does as you can read up on it on the discord website but if you have any ideas on what to do with it just let us know! Hello my lovelies! Kermit here again, Iâm afraid that I didnât send one of these tomorrow as to be honest Iâm running out of things to say as the server becomes more stable and therefore Kermits Cuppa will most likely become every couple days rather than every single one! Today we announce the EPIC Talent Showcase! Your opportunity to share one of your talents with thousands of people!
What makes a valid submission?
⢠1 minute or less in length.
⢠Contains the TikTok watermark. (so film it on TikTok and download it, you don't have to make it public on tiktok.)
⢠Your submission is sent to @last wadi through DMs.
⢠You get a dm after you submit informing you that we received and recorded your submission. (if you do not get this reach out informing us.)
⢠Makes it past inspection to confirm authenticity and retain the showcase as family friendly.
We are aiming to stream the showcase here in around 2 weeks. [Starting the Saturday after next.] But it is dependent on the number of submissions we recieve.
So whether you are a dancer, polylingual, have a voice, artist of any kind, or you have another talent: Feel free to share your WIPs, your portfolios, whatever comes to mind, really. This event is open to all and submissions will be open until Sunday at 12pm EST. [ September 12th. ] So we have a week to make sure they are family friendly and authentic as well as collage them into a fluid video.
Please be reminded this is a showcase, not a competition!

If you haven't seen already, the server has been moved around a bit to make things more efficient for you all (Thatâs the official excuse in reality Iâm a frog and canât comprehend more than a certain amount of channels). We have some more absolutely schluvverly communities so be sure to hit up those spicy spicy new reaction roles!
While weâre having a chit chat on the topic of communities: Anyone who previously had @s or links in #internet or #social media, it's recommended to resend those in the #internet community (with the social media reaction role), as when we merge the channels messages can get lost or become invisible (NOT AN INVISIBILITY CLOAK YOU HP FANCHILDRENâ¤ď¸).
#Studio has become #art-literature-crafts to include music and dance lovers that want to share their brilliant projects Iâm sure.

It's that time again lovelies. Kermits Cuppa!
I hope we're all having an absolute fantastical, whimsical, stupendous amazing day and making sure to stay hydrated and safe especially in these times! Why, I myself have just recieved my second COVID vaccine today and it was absolutely fantastical! Now only a short couple o things today!

Hi there! Spring is officially here (at least where I am) which means itâs time for some spring cleaning! But not to worryâwe wonât be deleting anything (we're too attached for that). Instead, weâve decided to add new channels! As EPIC continues to grow, so have requests for interviews. To make things easier for both Jorge and our resident interviewers weâve created special channels explicitly for interviewing purposes. To keep things running smoothly, we have established some rules, which you can find below:
First: In the pinned messages of #đŹď˝interview-requests you can find a form for submitting questions. Please use this form AND ONLY THIS FORM to submit questions. As you will see, if you need the interview to be conducted through a voice chat, you must submit your availability in the two weeks following the date you send a message. Please note that Jorge cannot guarantee a voice chat interview for all of the requests, so be prepared to receive answers in chat.
On the topic of chat responses - #đď˝interview-answers is where Jorge will post his answers to your questions. Please read though it to see if your question has already been answered before asking your own. We also ask for your patience in receiving answersâremember that Jorge has a busy schedule and may not always be able to respond immediately. Please be respectful of his time; any spam or nagging will not be tolerated and will be addressed at the discretion of Jorge and the server admins.
One last update: we have decided to move #880453279279104010 to the community folder so from now on, you can find it closer to the bottom of the server. You still will have full access to it, no roles needed.

We have some exciting news!! We have reached another milestone â11k!!
First and foremost, as usual, we will be hosting a celebratory community event!! More details will be released soon.
Secondly, as this community continues to grow, itâs only natural the staff team should too.
We will be opening applications for new mods soon. We are looking for mods to serve SPECIFIC roles: chat moderation and event hosting. Once we figure out all the details, we will make another announcement including the application form for those who wish to apply.

As promised, the time has come to launch our mod applications! Please read the following for some important information.
Reminderâwe are looking for MODS for specific roles: chat moderation and event hosting.
Chat moderation responsibilities include:
- Keeping an eye on all channels to make sure server rules are being followed
- Redirecting lost souls to proper channels
- Helping new members find their way around the server.
Event hosting responsibilities include:
- Organizing weekly events
- Hosting werewolf games
Both of these positions are in place to help us admins run the server more smoothly. Keeping that in mind, you wonât have to worry about too much responsibility or being on your own - weâre not going anywhere and we will always be there to help!
We are looking for one (1) event mod and between 1-4 chat mods. You may fill out this form only once, so make sure your answers are exactly as youâd like them to be before submitting. If you would like to apply for both chat and event mod, please respond to the questions for both positions in one application. Regardless of whether you apply for both, the selected applicants will only serve in one position (ie. you will not be both a chat mod and an event mod).
The form will be open for two weeks, from Friday April 15th (today) until midnight Friday April 29th. We intend for our application review process to be as holistic as possible and to give every candidate a fair chance. Therefore, submitting earlier will not give you an advantage over other applicantsâso take your time with it! We canât say yet when decisions will be made, as that will depend on the amount of applications sent and deliberation necessitated. In addition, we would like to give some information regarding the Plural Kit (PK) Bot also goes by Briareus on this server. This bot allows systems to help others correctly identify which alter is fronting, as such, PK will give non-bots/users a bot logo next to their name. This does NOT make these users a bot. All bots on the server can be found listed on the side under "Hephaestus Bots"
