I've been selected to participate in the Johnny Mercer Writers Grove at Goodspeed Musicals this January 31st-February 13th! During this time I'll be at Goodspeed Musicals in Connecticut working on draft 2 rewrites while getting feedback from dramaturgs, Broadway producers, and other writers!
In terms of Draft 2, most of the effort is going towards fixing up the first quarter of the show, so I'm currently in the process of rewriting those sections. I'm hoping to have a new version of the opening song or sequence within the next few weeks!

Here is the challenge:

In Puppeteer, Hermes appears and gives Odysseus a root that temporarily allows him to mimic Circe’s spells. Later on, in Done For, Circe summons a Chimera to attack Odysseus. Odysseus responds by saying that he “ate a flower, one that claims your power” before summoning his own monster.

What monster does he summon?

Hint: Try to put yourself in Odysseus’s position.

After several copyrighting issues for the underlying rights of EPIC, the original author of the source material has taken legal action to ensure that I stop pursuing a future with this show. I am allowed to continue writing songs on a personal level but I am not allowed to make official sales or use the characters in a stage production.
