So like, I had a dream that I made a fan game set in the dark souls universe, in an age of dark preceding an age of fire, but it was thousands of years after ds3 so technology progressed, and it was a sci-fi third person shooter. It revolved around ‘the scorched’ people who had ‘the spark’ or basically pyromancies but it came from the flames within them, as it was described by the fire keeper in ds3. They were recruited en-masse and given power armor to attempt to claim the first flame and become the lord of the next age of fire. The main villains would be ‘The cicatrix’ or the entities spawned from the abyss. I still can’t decide if this is a really cool idea that I should try and follow through with, or really really stupid lmao

But like the dream was super detailed and it opened with a stylized propaganda video recruiting the scorched to kindle the flame, and i even saw the entire opening sequence, including the tutorial, firelink stand-in, and more.

Having personally played DS3 after playing Elden Ring… ER is a lot more fun to me. Controls are a lot better and the open world just makes for a better experience. DS3 is a good looking game tho, and is definitely still good- I just find ER to be a much better experience overall.
