One of the core elements I want to explore is Chaos.

We know that Frenzied Flame is a mix of yellow flame and a chaotic essence

primeval chaos doesn't destroy world like frenzied flame.

I’m looking for input on a few specific points:

Color and visual language: Right now I’m seeing a deep crimson or burgundy hue, maybe mixed with shadowy purple

Symbol: What could the sigil of Chaos look like?

Mechanics: How could Chaos behave in-game? I’m considering effects like wild status effect types

Any ideas – visual, lore-based, or mechanical – are welcome. I’ll be adding concept art later once I finalize the base.

after much effort, ive mostly gotten the effect i wanted. im pretty much blind but i can see some highlights and im much more sensitive to movement. i dont exclusively see movement like i originally intended, but through a lot of motion blur, highlights, and trails, i can see movement quite well. i think AC's armor is way to much for any souls player, even if there is a lack of proper coverage like with those damaged part in the jailbreak mission

unless a NR caracter manage to climb on it and cut/pierce a vital component (wich there is probably none accessible) they won't do anything and will simply get stomped or cut in half by a bullet that is like 10cm in diameter XD

For Mogh, I just love the ipact of his swings and the timing of his switchups. And if my RL1 thought me something it's that the bloodflame splatter will eventually just always be in the back of your head, and once that happens it's a great test of positioning.
I personally just don't like being able to see 70% of the boss. Yes, unlocking the camera makes things easier, but while this method can completely change other big dragon fights for the better, here is only helps a little from my experience, and attempting to see the attacks is still really really frustrating. I like the lore of the fire giant, but I don't really like his character design. I adore Elden Rings Soundtrack and disagree with the claims that it's forgettable, but this is not the case for the Fire giant theme. I couldn't at all tell you at all what it sounds like right now.

I agree that from a mechanical standpoint, Placi is lacking significantly.
And usually, this would be a big deal to me, but in this case the fight is all about atmosphere, and while his first phase is a bit boring and sometimes even annoying, I don't find it insulting enought to calcel out the greatness of his atmosphere.
The second phase too elevates the fight for me as it is a huge improvement.

This is a very personal case... I love the cosmic horror elements and his moveset to me is pretty much on the same level as ||Metyrs|| (Shadow of the Erdtree boss), but I just find his design to be a little too much on the nose.
It's cosmic horror done wrong in my opinion. And that is coming from someone who adores Bloodborne and ||Metyr's|| (Same as before) design. Like I think Fromsoft is one of the best when it comes to cosmic horror creature designs. But whit this one, I find that for once, they've missed the mark. So the thing that elevates ||Metyr|| is missing with Astel.
But I know this is certainly a hot take and I'm sure he deserves better. I just personally don't like him at all.

Unless you have a bow or a long range spell they will shred you at mid range.
Close range is scary but manageable if you know them well
