If that ever happens and you see someone say the terrain stops loading in, and the game is stuck saving, I suggest telling them to…
(1) die, like drown or something, and when the game tries to reload it’ll get stuck but that’s ok, then
(2) force quit the game and try to reload it

It’s called the “world streaming bug” and unfortunately we don’t have reproduction on how and why it occurs, and it can ruin the save permanently

A few people do get lucky and can reload and the save will be ok, but not everyone is so lucky

I think they reason the dying is important, it stops the process where the game keeps trying to save with the world streaming error (I’m no programmer but that’s my guess) and when you force quit, it reverts to your last save prior to the error occurring

Well again, totally depends per person. I've definitely seen people who think the game is ruined by certain decisions. It's by far not most people, but there are some here and there. There's even someone who spend making an hour long video on criticising the entire game from beginning to end on what it did wrong 😅
From what I've seen many people still consider it a good game but just have issues with one thing or another. I think the Steam ratings also reflect that if you ask me. I've seen many complaints about the Story, the PDA voice, vehicle choices, the land biomes, the way Robin acts in the game etc. but often not all at once, people just seem to dislike certain choices.

The story was one of the unnecessary parts, and tbh it gives less of a first person perspective. The first game was better at immersion cause it didn't even mention the characters name and he didn't talk either. Everyone felt like they were in the world more. But with BZ she and Al-An talk a lot and I kinda feel like a third wheel half the time

and this isn't a bad thing, I feel like BZ exchanged being scary and fearful of the unknown to being more vibrant and prettier looking

cause lets be honest half the map in Subnautica is barren of life and ugly to look at, while the other half was amazing to look at and explore

and that's what makes BZ unique to subnatica

No, it won't. One the earliest places you go is Delta Station. There are a cluster of habitats on the island that you'll see as you walk up the island. There's a Habitat Builder on a box outside of the habitats that you can scan.

At first I was bored out of my mind. I was constantly dying to the cold and having to reload my save every time and getting 1 shot by the bears. After I got everything I needed at the base I went back and dumped all the stuff off
Then the game really picked up after I started exploring and scavenging. Absolutely love the new biomes and they give a fair amount of terror and it makes it a lot more fun to explore and the story is becoming more fun. My favourite part is the base building seeing as how I get to be more creative with my builds compared to the first game
My only problems are the lag spikes, random terrain disappearances and long load times.
Other than that I'm having a great experience so far and im only 2 hours in. 9/10

Cool! Also, i swapped to between the borders of tree spires, purple vents and lilypads! Downside is theres not much fish and more predators (i fixed this by planting some antennae plant i found on dead lilypads), upside is that i can get titanium from mercury (i put my base next to a part), get lithium, get alot of resources from tree spires like ruby, have power from fumaroles and have delta station nearby! wich is pretty decent

Stabbing an empty area and having a creepvine chunk with the knife / thermoblade sounds like a bug that is known to occur, but the reproduction steps are still unknown.

Most likely you were cutting some creepvine pieces before.

Eating fevered peppers replenishes food, water and heat. Try to keep a few in your inventory just in case for when you're running around. Also, staying in the PRAWN Suit or on the Snowfox prevents your temperature from going down.

1. You can retrive your items after death. Although you need to locate your location of death for that (note: if you die near your seatruck or base you will not lose items and just respawn in your base);

However you can take screenshots upon your death and after that can locate your location of death.

2. You can get snow stalker fur in snow stalker caves and by using the spy pengling to pick it off wild snow stalkers

300m isnt that deep once you get a good tank and a decent suit. Pressure depth gets basically negated once you have a specific suit I think
