Too early? You can get ultra tank from sparse reef lifepod 19 databox, so it seems to me you can get ultra tank later in BZ than Subnautica (depending on how much exploring you do)
You need to go to ||lilypad caves|| to get enough scans for the ultra. You can get one scan in the kelp forest caves, but that’s all I remember there being is just one

I love both Subnautica and BZ OSTs. The only issue I had with BZ is that, despite there being a lot of tracks, many of them were used for specific instances so the number of tracks left meant biomes has only 1 or 2 tracks designated for them. I got really tired of listening to them repeat themselves over and over (lilypads was bad about this, as were some areas that only had one track), especially when you’ve got a base and spend a lot of time in the same biomes😭

I recently got a new Bluetooth speaker for my bday (August) so I’m enjoying music with my games again. I like all kinds of music, classical, metal, rock, basically just no country and rap😂

Please do not listen to everyone saying the game is terrible. they are being VERY over dramatic. Now, compared to subnautica 1, its... ok. but agian, thats compared to subnautica 1, which is like trying to compare anything to like the best thing in the world. As a stand alone game, it is a very good survival game. the horror aspect you might expect in subnautica 1 is... very toned down, but still there if you're afraid of levitahns. if you ignore the occasionally bad dialouge writing and bad story, it is very easy to get a solid 30 hours worth of playtime out of over a week

i think it is worth it if your looking for a survival game you might replay a few times, but dont expect the same quality as subnautica

TlDR: Gameplay good, writing bad, dont listen to people saying it bad. its just not as good as the 1st one

Don't expect it to be Subnautica and you'll love it. I mean, there are many things in common, the same planet, the same base features, items and so on... but the writing is completely different, so are the music (I prefer, by far, Below Zero ost than Subnautica) and the level design... It's a whole new experience, as enjoyable as the first one.

Yes, if all water sources are considered, and not just water bottles, creepvine seed clusters can be eaten for +10 water, and they don't spoil in your inventory, so one early game alternative...

I was talking about Frost Anemone Heart, +10 food, +20 water, they regrow but they do spoil in the inventory. Very good water solution in early game anyway, especially if you want to go vegan.

If you quit, steam will undo your edit

Have you ever heard of a Windows shortcut/key combination or a bug that makes the spacebar type q letters (in addition to the space) and Q key to type spaces (same), and that might add the F4 key function to the ' (4) key ? Keyboard layout switch maybe ?
Cause the other day I wanted to start a new game in Below Zero and after a while ingame, when I press Space to go up or jump, I'm also going left since the spacebar and the Q key are mixed :/ It occurs only during the game (hence the question about the bug) but it also stays when I'm back to Windows (hence the question about the shortcut/combination).

I litteraly can't play Below Zero anymore out of fear that the bug occurs (and I really don't know how I got my keys to work normally again, twice).

i think subnautica provides most thrill when you there's no oxygen (and other vitals) notifications and you just know you are on a clock, and it's survival (but also this can be tuned for normal)

traces with voltage = super corrosion. So if you do spill, unplug immediately, then store warm for a day. Or 7.

It's not a hardware problem, it's a software issue. Sometimes when I press some keys this bug occurs, and I want to identify it. I've NEVER spilled anything on this keyboard and if I did, the way it's built I'm not even sure that the inside circuitry would be reached.

As for why your scanner displays inexistent outcrops, it's due to a discrepancy between the cached files and the tracker database. It can happen if you regenerate parts of the map by removing the cached files manually for instance.
