You're gonna have to go in a cave by the ||Needler Mangoes||, it should be ||165 degrees (check the compass at the top of your screen) from the Alterra base|| at the ||Observatory||. It's underground. I think there should be a ||colonist blackbox|| in it. It'll be below the ||Tadpole's base crush depth||. Follow ||the trail of Needler Mango harpoons from the blackbox|| and keep going in its general direction. There should be a ||wreckage of a Tadpole hull||. It'll have what you need.

Repeat as soon as you see it turn away from you. After a few repeats it should be crossing the barrier, but will ignore you unless you are in the void, scan it while it outside the void, and repeat the baiting method as soon as it leaves your scanning range

its a resource so it doesnt respawn. The only way to optain more is to build a ||metal farm, and put one troilite inside of it||. Using all of the avaiable ||troilite|| is the easiest soft lock in early access i think

If you're talking about the ||Angel Comb under the giant Alien powerplant (it kinda looks like a drill but the main tube-thing is called a heat pipe)||, then you'll need to deal with the ||Cankers that are farther out along the roots leading from the main Angel Comb||. I think there are ||at least three other areas with Cankers in them you need to cleanse before the ones by the main Angel Comb will open||. To ||clear them, you need an upgraded Sonic Resonator||. I would recommend exploring to ||find the pieces you need to scan||. ||They should be in wreckages or on the platforms where you can find some stuff the previous colonists left behind||. ||I would also recommend checking the area with the Tongue Thieves, the glowing green brine pools, and the second Collector Leviathan||.

Realistically in the final game most necessary materials will be far more abundant, the setup also pushes you to expand your base and create more fabricators to speed up the amount you craft at once. Metal farms I think are fair currently but could do with being nerfed in later versions. They could trivialise the grind loop which is the main gameplay loop

There should be ||a bunch of alien structures there too||. ||Troilite|| will be ||around the green brine pools||. ||Axum Bacteria|| will be ||in the green brine pools||.

Keep in mind this is endgame for the EA, not for the game. Realistically we are only 10-20% into the whole games story. Besides there's plenty to do while waiting, even more once we get the final game. There's no need to speed run the entire thing and they have said that they will tweak metal farms if they become too overpowered.

Idk being able to kill enemies with a lot of effort is kinda cool. A core memory of subnautica 1 for me was killing the ghost leviathan in the lost river and building a base inside of the garg skull. I just think it should be incredibly difficult and not cheesable with a stasis rifle.

Are you in Early game or late game? Are you talking about the ||cankers that close when you get close||? If so, then you need to find ||the Sonic Resonator upgrade||. I recommend exploring ||wrecks and platforms left behind by the previous colonists|| in order to find it. You will need to ||cleanse all the cankers form the extraneal bloom sites first before you can cleanse the ones from the main Angel Comb||. You cannot ||destroy the bloom cankers when they are closed. If they will not open then you have to eliminate the cankers in a different area first||.

Much more recently (I forget the exact timeframe, I can look ingame if you're super curious) the Sleep Bay 3 was picked up and hurled 600 meters down, where it became the starting area. Guess NoA decided enough was enough and finally activated the investigator to find out wtf was happening lol.

||I did notice that too, the movement felt extremely sluggish and was only partly alleviated by the Wakemakers. I'd imagine it's because for the moment the "starting area" (everything preceding the alien ruins) is a relatively small zone, so to make it feel bigger it takes a while to get around. That'll probably change once more biomes are added and it becomes necessary to have a fast way to traverse the whole map before getting a vehicle.||
