It was like that in SN1 as well, there's just usually so many nodes that it almost never becomes a problem, it's slightly worse for SN2 in some ways because the map isn't finished so it's smaller than it will eventually be, but we get access to mining the big nodes a lot earlier so it evens out a bit.

Maybe? idk it would feel weird for like big nodes to just come out of nowhere, the game has already set up the logic for resources to be generated in different specific places and spoilers: ||There's the auxum metal farms area, and I think slightly reactivating it, just giving it a bit of power to get passive resources wouldn't be a bad addition, as well as the metal farms that you can eventually unlock to build for yourself of which you can build up to 4-5||

This is a survival game, and weapons are an essential aspect of it, having a weapon does not guarantee survival, yet, for some reason, the developers don't seem to grasp this.

In Subnautica 1, we had the knife and the Stasis Rifle, with both you could kill just about anything, but do you know why the vast majority of players never killed or even attempted to kill a single Reaper Leviathan?

Because the animals were dangerous and made for terrifying encounters, this discouraged hunting, simply because the psychological terror was so intense that it wasn't worth the risk, hunting something that posed such a high threat of death and inflicted such terrifying experiences just wasn't worth it.

Not having weapons and not killing the wildlife is kind of the whole point of the series from the dev's perspective. Just because you philosophically don't agree doesn't mean the devs have to bend their beliefs for your sake. And they shouldn't, the series is all the better for it. I'm glad they took out the weapons

so in SN1 the tianium ingot is horrendously expensive, and in the codex entry of the processor it explains it's a bigger mroe complex system that's just so much better ant bulk refining, I think this keeps the gameplay intact while also logically being consistent, the fabricator can do it, but it's so costly and innefecient that they removed the function and sent processors to the colony instead. I'd say though it's technically easier to set up hydroelectric generators since currents are more dispersed. Thermal venting, for now, is fairly limited and requires transmitters otherwise.

Biggest problem people have with moonpool placement is that the moonpool they have placed is too small, the default size isn't big enough for a dock or fabricator. After it's verified to be big enough, then it may be a bug

A dev said that they are probably going to expand the default tile size for moonpool placement. To me it was very intuitive I needed to build bigger because the tadpoles just take up a fair bit of space, but a lot of people have been confused by it, so defualting to the largest brush size the 3x3 or larger is probably the way to go for the future.

Ive given up on trying to diagnose his problem. I simply wanted to know if anyone had an issue on linux since ive seen multiple people say that disabling windows features fixed their game. Ive also seen people say that disabling frame gen (worst "feature" ever) fixed their game but my buddy cant exactly turn it off since his game just wont load into the menu. I unfortunately cannot help him personally since i am still running a 5700xt.

im getting SO sick of people saying the game doesnt have enough content. 1st off, TAKE YOUR TIME BRO stop blazing through the story, enjoy the game a little and explore. 2nd off, it's early access. the game isn't going to be complete. 3rd off, even with blazing through the story 8 HOURS of story content is INCREDIBLE for the earliest public access of the game. taking your time, that means you'll have 15 to 20 hours of content before you've "completed" the early access story. that's more than some full releases.

So true. I've had plenty of games that cost 20 bucks more and offered just as much playtime, but with a linear story and no open world, so there wasn't even a way to increase my playtime.

? first of all the planet in the sky is genuinely no cause for concern. second nanite is a tool to be used, it needs to have models be optimized for it. the tadpole model has extremely clean topology, and because of that it works extremely well with nanite. i dont know the exact face count nor do i know if uw even has nanite enabled but from the models theyve shown in devlogs and teasers (including the tadpole) they are clearly capable of making nanite optimized models

Non host players see the host as being frozen. Cant move Items or even interact with items in storage. When switching host the problems stay for the non host players
