The game is in Early Access. There are a lot of things that need to be polished, configured, added, changed, or removed.
The story is not complete, nor is the map or the tools available. All this is like an alpha phase

If you want to see the game's progress process, being aware that many things are missing, that this is going to take time and that there will be many bugs ahead... Buy it. If you don't want to have to deal with that, then avoid playing Early Access.

Subnautica, has always been for not all players. There are people who expect a lot of things or believe things that are not so much in line with the intention of the game... Keep this in mind with negative reviews

I think the ||leviathans|| need a lott of work. ||It feels like a cutscene when you get too close to one, it insta kills you, but they're also not super hard to avoid at a slight distance. The marrow breach is 10/10, soooo good. But the leviathans are too fast, you can't really swim with them like you can in the other games, they don't sneak up behind you either, idk something's really off. Also the shiver is wayyy too small.||

so u need to follow the roots from the angel comb to find smaller parasite plants that u can shoot, there are two of them and when you have exterminated both of them u can move on to the angel comb. The game kinda tells u this with all the dialogue but its easy to miss if u arent paying attention.

you need an upgrade, you'll get it by scanning golden object that are similar to the sonic cannon. one is in one of the aurora wreck, the others one in in the toxic/green area witht he leviathan above... i even think you can find both of them there... one near the entrance the other one stright across the toxic lake near a purple light.... you'll need to scan at least two

I would equate it to FNAF, where jumpscares are no longer scary because you are playing a future installment to the game for the gameplay loop rather than the scary atmosphere, and are a punishment for failing rather than a moment to be scary.

Played Sub2 all day yesterday, loved the game, only complaints i have is the fact there is no fov slider (got a horrible migraine) and that you cant do crap to fish if they get in your face, cant hurt them or anything, in subnautica 1 you could bash into fish with your vehicle or slice them and they would screw off, but you cant do jack here if something is annoying you

It's pretty straightforward. EA1 (launch) is the first major update. EA1.1. EA1.2 etc. are incremental smaller updates. EA2 is our next major update with content expansion for story, vehicles, biomes etc.
