Hey everyone, I made a way to INCREASE FOV VIA .INI

Go to Subnautica 2’s config folder, (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Subnautica2\Saved\Config\Windows) > create a file named Engine.ini > and add this:

AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainYFOV

Save it, restart the game, and it should make the camera feel less zoomed-in by forcing Unreal’s vertical FOV/aspect-ratio behavior.

You've gotta be kidding me... First of all they didn't "make people buy it" it was optional and a reduced price for being early in development.
This is the point of Early Access it won't be perfect and there will be issues but the game is at a point where it can released to the public and they can help the game along during its early access stage and suggest features that are missing.
Lastly NOBODY should hold them to the game being "Done" when it's VERY clearly labeled as "Early Access" there will be bugs and issues that's normal for truly EA games. You have two options you can either play and deal with them and report them or you can simply wait until 1.0 release before playing if you can't put up with bugs/missing features.

Them saying Subnautica 2 was highly optimized just doesn’t match what I’m actually seeing. I had to turn on DLSS Ultra Performance just to stay above 60 FPS on medium settings, and I’m at the recommended specs at 1080p, not even 1440p.

That’s the part people are mad with. It’s early access, sure, but they specifically talked about optimization and having a separate optimization team. If that’s the case, the current performance really doesn’t show, and if they actually do have a separate optimization team like they claimed they gotta fire them

I can run games that look more WAY more realistic at higher settings and get better FPS. Seeing people with an RTX 4070 saying around 50 FPS makes it pretty obvious this isn’t just one person’s PC
