Anything that's not in the pool of tools, imo. I've picked up so many duplicate flashlights and scanners and heated blades, it's unreal. Just speaking for myself, I'd much rather go through the process of crafting all that than have it handed to me. I've been gifted one each sulphur and nickel as well as pet fish for me to care for. The ore is more like foreshadowing than just giving me everything I'm going to need straight out of the gate.
