Technically infinite because you don’t need to passively spend resources to be alive, you can die of food and water but just respawn with them refilled, and water and food can/are both infinite

There is no reason to be divided it's a fact that resources don't respawn. Still, it is very tedious to deplete the map I doubt anyone has done it.

This doesn't include shales created by the sea treaders of course.

Or the titanium you can get by scanning technologies you know.

Hey I'm replaying subnautica for the first time since I played it when it first came out, so I remember some stuff but not much...

I ||followed the Sunbeam landing marker and found the giant cannon that shoots it out of the sky. IIRC there's supposed to be a forcefield blocking the entrance into that building that you stick the tablets in, but the forcefield was already off when I showed up. Inside there were some platforms that raised up when I walked near them which I'm pretty sure were supposed to have the glowing green cubes on them, but they were empty||. Is this a bug or is it supposed to be this way? If it's a bug... is the savegame in a totally broken state or can I keep playing?

so on the off chance you have a developed sense of scheudenfraud, when i checked the log notepad gave me an error the file was too big to open. when i widened the explorer window so the filesize tab was in view i about gasped. the log file was just under 3 gigabytes. all filled with

I'm new here and not sure if many ppl have talked abt this, but I've always thought the depth that the game displays is deceiving. Like, watching Youtubers like Jack or Mark play through it, and seeing the depth climb so fast, I'd look up structures that are equal to the depth they're at, and it seems staggering, but also always off to me. So I just did some light research and found a reddit post with a similar question, although 10 yrs ago, claiming (with a bunch of explanation) that going down 7.4 meters in game, is equivalent to 1 meter IRL. Which means if I did the simple math right, and end game is around 1700 meters, that Subnautica is only abt 230 actual meters 🤯
