also thinging of rebuilding my base in the grassy plateau since the current location isnt really the best (too many rocks in places i want to expand to)
Yeah do a lap around the aurora in the seamoth
nah youll be fine just bring your big boy pants and get ready to juke
Woah that is fast progress
i've explored the aurora so many times and have never seen a reaper
i got the stasis rifle in the first hour of my run smh
first?
yehs
where around the aurora are you exploring
also found this silly little guy, toast lured me into a death trap lol
inside?
isnt that northern blood kelp
no idea
Crabsquids, the biggest menaces to society this side of the Crater
no you went too far 😭
TRUE
First time i went to the crash zone i was paranoid looking all around 100% alert and then i saw ||a leviathan map and there is not even a single reaper where i was. Doing all that for nothing||
you shouldve told me not to go too far 😭
i didnt learn this game took place on a crater until like 2 days ago
I love him get out and tell him you love him for me please
You can try going to the aurora entrance explore and all
huh
trying to remember what crater is rn
no it doent
did you see my map yet?
I sent it a while ago, think you were afk
the worst reaper in the crash zone is the one like 100m below in the bulb zone
where abouts is the entrance and what gear should i bring with me? this is what i got rn
food and water
I was, i am packing with my sister for a huge scholarship
Food water, propulsion canon, fire extinguisher, laser cutter and repair tool
dawg the deadzone is literally after leaving THE craters edge
Alright ill find it and resend
Also do creature eggs go in ||timecapsules? I put a crabsquid egg, lithium, and seamoth depth in mine then i foundout seamoth modules get removed. I saw my timecapsule on the voting website but it said it had nothing in it not even the other stuff||
they cant be put in ||Time capsules||
Here it is
Why is only mushroom forest green
quick question, where does one find materials for aerogel?
anywhere deep
Noooo my grandson 💔💔💔💔💔 lost to the void...
Mushroom forest is the only one with low danger, moderate resources, AND a great amount of late game blue prints everywhere
mainly like lifepod 19 area
places i will be avoiding then
Hint hint wink wink Lifepod 19
when you find the ||drive room|| make sure to fix the stuff in there then after a few days you wont need the ||radiation suit|| anymore
You need ruby for that which is a bit deeper I think
you can farm gel sacks by smacken em with a knife
And its near resource rich places
Void
best place to get gel sacks
sparse reef
||@ruby viper||
Head south from your lifepod, and if you see a large place with these huge glowing spheres anchored to the floor, you'll find rubies
hi
Looks at you like this
Theres a good number of rubies as well as gel sacks (both needed for aerogel) in the deep sparse reef. Grab a bunch of rubies and a few gel sack seeds (even one is enough)
DAWG
you jumpscared me 😭
LMAOOAOAOAOAKA
it wont load
You have angered the Crabsquid
bro that thing funny as hell 💀
i pavlov'd myself into finding crabsquids adorable before i had to meet them but it still made me jump so bad when i saw him
LMAO
also why are grassy plateus, kelp forests, and underwater islands not yellow
I knew they were huge i didnt eealize it was THAT BIG
grassy plateaus is where i built my base (first playthrough)
I was startled by their sudden appearence when i entered the Blood Kelp zone
first time encountering an adult ghost i fr said in 4k ultra wide vision "DAYUM"
Honestly ghosts are lowkey chill to live around
i've seen one in the void and it destroyed my first seamoth
They have this nasty tendancy of just rising up from the depths and then attacking you
i went a bit too far
Talking about Crabsquids, btw
do i even want to go down there?
Ghosts scare me they will eat the peepers and then eat your arm off with them they dont have any period of chill out after eating a peeper
Yep, Grand Reef
Yes. Always go deeper
Go down there for precious rubies
Because grassy platues has not the best resources, it doesnt have a lot of blueprints that you'd need since im assuming you got most of those by now, kelp forest has slightly better resources but same blueprint issues, maybe kelp should've been yellow actuallly since its resources are better, but underwater islands have high danger, and very low late game blueprints, its only good for its resources so its orange, i would make it red if it didnt have any resources
best way to first encounter a reaper is to see its shadow then slowly look up to see it charging at you mouth agape
yes
@onyx badger get mk2 depth module for seamoth
i need to go to the aurora first but i need to get the propulsion cannon first
you can get in the aurora without prop cannon
you should get seamoth sonar upgrade aswell
||were the lava zones kinda disappointing to anyone else.. like they're fine they work but theres nothing worth exploring or staying for other than the vibes. like drill 2 kyanite things and find the castle/pcf and ur done||
Makes navigating crash zone SO much safer
theres a second entrance that you can parkour over
That jump is HARD
got the last piece of it
Yeah no might as well get the cannon
genuinely can i just wait the 11 years for aurora to save me and not progress at all
you sure? i dont think the grassy plateau borders that
No becaus lore u will learn soon
grand reef has to be around other reef biomes
nuh uh
YEP, i just checked
@onyx badger safest aurora path is hugging the left of the aurora until you reach a hole in the left wall and going in that way
Go to the floating island (the one with the bases) and go straight down
This is true
is the entrence under water or above water?
above
kinda a dumb question actually, theres fires
all i did in the aurora was captains bay, prawn suit, repair, and leave
stay at the surface at ALL times
technically both but its safer the higher you are
I think its partially submerged its a bit of both
theres one at the surface level
cant blame you theres electricity under water that doesnt shock you
Anyways lemme boot up my own game
that makes complete sense actually
(a small hole at the left side of the aurora that a seamoth can fit through)
if electricity is being sent into an open water it wont shock you
the ocean works as a grounding system pretty much
I hate how some wrecks had sparking thingies on the walls that werent repairable why would they prank me like that
pretty sure seamoth cant fit through the first crevice
also love your pfp
@onyx badger also if you are going to underwater islands PLEASE explore the wreck there
genuinely the best in the game
i do not plan to go there yet
Well almost, it does dissipation the electricity plus it decreases rapidly with distance so unless you're close to It you shouldn't get shocked
you'll find useful stuff there
chief is guiding me through the game while not spoiling it too much
ye
Its not too hard to find if u use sonar and it has so much good stuff but its big u need a vehicle nearby for o2 replenishing
Cuz you're a new player, always fun to watch em explore things themselves
You can DM me if you want it's a bit hard to keep up in the chat but yeah
I kinda wish there was a spoiler chat to discuss late and endgame stuff openly
You can spiler it like this ||I'm rykey robinson||
Ik that i meant openly
And even for the new players ik when i see a spoiler tag even if i know i shouldnt tap it its so tempting.....
Yeah
@onyx badger what blueprints or fragments of vehicles have you scanned
just these
chief was telling me off for pressing them yesterday lol
Its sooo tempting its like forbidden knowledge
@wild mirage all set for the aurora?
real 😭
I try to spoiler a larger part of the message instead of just little portions cause if theres less context its less tempting
actually ill bring a spare battery for the cutter
- i need the fire extinguisher
Theres extinguishers on the walls in the aurora but u could bring a couple just incase
Fire extinguisher
Make sure you are looking at your pda at the clues and codes section when you get there
I would always reccomend brining as little as possible the aurora has ALOT of loot
tima go to the jelly caves (Im finna get slaughtered)
Yes the if ur ever stuck ceck the clues
and for codes for doors
This is cool
Only was able to see it with my seamoth, I'd be burnt badly if i was down there with just a normal wetsuit
You could drop the flashlight and use the seaglide light instead its less powerful but its more inventory space, and def leave the habitat builder u have no use for it in the aurora
i should be all set now
yea drop the flashlight and habitat builder
Could even drop the battery as the aurora will have many
Yeah and also don't waste too much time propulsioning the crab like things you'll likely find. Use it for boxes and things covering doors, cuz the propulsion canon uses a lot of it's battery
Flashlight might be needed but drop the habitat builder
Nah use the seaglide
nice got a time capsule
"what a journey this was"
cuddlefish egg and a sonar upgrade
Seaglide light isnt as strong on land but its enough for the aurora the fire lights alot of it up lol
alr making my way there now, im guessing i should stay on the surface until i get there?
My most ideal way is actually to go without a seaglide entirely and just the flashlight instead but if u dont have seamoth storage it will take forever to get there
roughly where will i be going?
Yeah
You see the front where it's damaged go straight there, and there will be like a hole you can pass through
alr ty
hope i dont see anything scary on my way there
Or drop the seaglide and use the flashlight...that frees up more inventory space
You won't de
True thats what i do but if u have nowhere close to store the seaglide its not viable
whole group of them to cheer me on
i just found lifepod 4, should i leave it for later or loot it?
He has habitat builder....few titanium and quartz builds a small base with lockers
Your choice tbh
actually ill leave it for later, not what im looking for
Lifepod 4 is usually ehre i park my seamoth cause i know its safe there
ok why is my camera shaking
The aurora's aura
@onyx badger hope you brought a fire extinguisher
i did, hoping 1 is enough
(theres another one at the propulsion cannon entrance)
You WILL need it
the fire extinguishers kinda suck
Bringing one is enough if you keep your eyes open and pick up those lying around in Aurora
There are 5 or 6 total in Aurora (also depends your aim how many you will need...)
i can never find the jellyshroom
@wild mirage this is where i do all the repairs and scanning right?
Go to lifepod 17 and search yhe nearby cave
Yep scan the prawn suit fragments
Repairs come later
That's the prawn bay, not drive core (so scan yes, repair not so much)
Does anyone know what triggers the ||captains quarters code radio message? I rember first time I played I didn’t get it till way after I did the aurora and I had to go back but this time I got it before I even considered going||
You get that radio call ||few in-game days after going to qep||
Ohhh ok that’ll do it my base is right under it lmaooo
Went there as soon as I got a sea moth
ok so the rooms at the prawn bay are just dead ends, back into the water im guessing?
There's also another trigger: ||going to drf||
I didn’t know u could take posters off the aurora walls the first time it was a crazy revelation for me
Did you check the cabin area up the stairs?
Yeah just for you to scan the prawn fragments go up stairs tho
||remind me what def stands for||
Typo, meant ||drf, disease research facility ||
If u explore around and follow the signs u should get around to every area easily just keep truckin on
After checking the cabins, repair the door on the right and continue there (you actually can get door code for cabin 1 there...the intended route is different than you chose)
It would be cool if ||there was more evidence of the precursors on the surface seafloor, I get they didn’t actually live there and just used the planet as a safe remote place to research the disease but they would have been living there during that time||
cant find any door that needs repairing
i got tha prawn 🔥 🔥 🍤
probably not
they have like the lifepod system repair panel and you repair that
It’s a normal door with a sparking rectangular panel next to it. Hold the repair tool up to the panel and it should give u the option
still cant find it, what cabin number is it near?
I forget I thinkkkkk it’s one of the ones on the very ends but I’m not sure
just open doors and doors that need a code
no repair box anywhere
Other end…?
same thing
left and right side
nvm found it, it was in the bay
U aren’t all the way at the end
@onyx badger you can also find some upgrades to your seamoth in the aurora
thats why im here lol
you can get a free seamoth mk1 depth module in the laboratory and a storage module in the prawn bay
@wild mirage all fixed c:
You didn't take the cyclops upgrade.
im not seeing any in here
What's that then?
Right here.
ohhhhh
cheers, that thing is tiny
think ive explored it all, couldnt find any pieces of the mk2 seamoth
It's an upgrade.
It's in the seamoth bay.
yeah the upgrade i meant
Its literally in an upgrade thing.. like the cyclops one was.
The back of the aurora?
found it, mk1 right?
the mushroom forest
Yeah it's good
though that squid looking thing near the border was terrifying
attracted to light it was
OHH
@cobalt sphinx anything else i should grab while im there?
you went to the eastern one
Go to the western one there won't be any there
pretty sure i did
Did you see this but big
this thing
yes
that dirty creature
Other way around east is squidless west is by bloodkelp
Yeah you did I think
Yeah
Nah I gotta go to blood kelp
No way they went there that early 😭
I've got the cyclops and still haven't been
anything else i should grab while im here?
The jacksepticeye thingy
When I go to blood kelp I just turn the music to 0 and it’s not scary anymore
Surprised you didn't run into the || GHOST LEVIATHAN 👻 🐟||
Isn't there one of those in the bloodkelp?
Yeah the zone but not trench
Yeah so they're in the zone not the trench right
alr i think i got everything from the aurora
Did you go to the storage area
Check cause there can be cyclops fragments
Look for what looks like a big rocket booster thingy
yes, had some an engine part for the stupid cyclops
Nice
The cyclops isn't stupid
It's wonderful for transporting materials
Except for when I almost got it stuck in safe shallows driving it through there
First times I took the cyclops through narrow deep areas I was soooo careful not to hit anything now I’m just beasting through them it do not matter this thing takes no damage
there is a storage upgrade in the prawn bay
Not sure if you figured it out, but I meant the door to prawn bay, on right on the screenshot I was replying to...
alright i think im done with the aurora, got 3 upgrades, a piece of the cyclops and a bit of food and water
i see no reason not to go home
plus fixed the reactor
did you go to the captains quaters?
didnt find the code for it
you get it via radio
got into cabin 1 though
You get that code from radio
hi
do you know what day its from?
you get it a few days ||after interracting with the quarentine enforcement platform||
no radio is tied to days i dont believe
on the island?
mhm
Can someone help me? My base has 3 solar pannels but it only has 1-3 power always. Anyone know what could be going on?
Yeah the northern island
It's not time based, It jas triggers when you go to teo places
How deep is it?
what items are in your base? your base may just be overly consuming
it isnt underwater
You are using power faster than it generates
water thingy moonpool and the scanner room
a water filtration machine.. with only 3 solar pannels..?
i think those are the only things that could be the problem
you have nowhere near enough power generation things.
i also had a bio reactor but that didnt help at all
Water filtration machine uses a lot of power when in use. Scanner room uses a little power all the time amd more when scanning
because your probably dont understand how power works
anyone wanna help me understand it then
At least it would help to have power generated also at night...
your base draws power from your generators in the order they are constructed
its day rn
its mainly taking from the 3 solar panels i believe then
I could run a water filtration with 3 panels and a bioreactor it’s worth trying it out again
The fuel u used may have just not been too good
you barely can.
Worked for me 🤷♂️
you need alot more solar panels than just 3. i usually tend to have 10-15
Bioreactor alone is almost enough for water filtration machine (generates 0.83333 energy per second, water filtration machine uses 0.85 per second)
Add more solar panels and try out a bioreactor again it should irk just fine
do i have to take care of an egg or nah?
You have no obligation to the eggs no
no, just leave it and itll hatch
how so?
@wild mirage heading back to base now, the aurora was a good trip icl
yo, have yall seen mellypops playthrough of subnautica its goated
I made it in safe shallows now I wanna go to a sick location can u suggest any location
Do you mean change location for base? You just build a new base somewehre else
Bulb zone
Changing the location I don’t have resources to build new
then just tear it down
Bulb zone? Where is it
Deconstruct and reconstruct as desired, but u have to remove everything from a room AND anything touching the “openings” from connected rooms first
Then you can decraft the old base to get all materials back
Oh location ermmm
Hold on how early game are you
Nvm lollll
Like have you been to the aurora?
Yea ik that so imagine if im going somewhere far how would i take all the stuff w me? Inventory is limited
You could also just go exploring and set a beacon down at a spot that looks nice
Cyclops
I have a moon pool seamoth and reifel
Multiple trips or seamoth storage or cyclops
No
cyclops can fit an entire base worth of materials inside it
I have radiation suite but I’m too scared for reaper
Ok so pls tell me where can I find engine fragments
it took me like 9 hours to make a base and most of the time was moving stuff
crash zone or mountains mainly
only true for small bases unless you have a bunch of lockers placed in the cyclops
If you go to the aurora just stay at the surface and they’ll most likely leave you alone
anyone have any base recomendation i can add to my base? i have a moonpool, scanner, couple of solar pannels and a good food supply
Oh thanks for advice I’ll try it
External plant beds
Without reapers: crag field, underwater islands, south/west sides of mountain island
Yea pls give me base tips too
a what
Yea u can find them in one of those islands
That's the thing, you can build lockers inside to fit more resources than you'll ever need
oh i have those
What materials would I need for building Cyclopes
any other?
Unlock the recipe and you’ll see
But I would consider getting stalker teeth
You can avoid a reaper encounter entirely if you follow the left side of the aurora at the surface until you find a seamoth sized hole to fit through
That's what I did
Oh I see
Yes after the mountain mushroom biome there’s a reaper
you can kill the bulb zone reaper if you want and then you basically have a completely safe entry point to the aurora
I’ve never had an encounter with the bulb zone reaper so you might be fine regardless
I’d carry two first aid kits just to be safe and reapers are really easy to break ankles
its like 60m below the safe path
ok so theres ||3 vehicles||
So guys what is the most deepest point in Subnautica excluding void?
4 actually
1700m
around 1700m
i cannot even think of what the 4th could be
What’s there?
Technically 5
wait ye 4 youre right
The one in your screenshot is the 4th...
better if you find out yourself
2 subs, seabed walker and whatever neptune is
i finally made a battery charger 😭
And technically the seaglide
Ohhhh chills respect for not spoiling
its the best thing ever
i wouldnt class it as one tbh
the hull and bridge fragments are apart of the third vehicle you can make
Pda does...
But it can be though
then im throwing my pda into the ocean, never to be seen again
Then you won’t know crafting recipes
ill ask the locals
@onyx badger are you still in the aurora
Wouldn’t you basically loose all crafting as well without the pda?
im back at my base
Yall think I can go from || ghost forest || to mountain islands fast enough in prawn to get to seabeam
did you go to the prawn bay?
ill write a book to list them
yup
Where are you going to get paper
the island
did you scan the prawns?
Depends what the timer shows, and if you have grapple
"mans best friend achievment" les gooooo
And how would you even make it
Ok do you want a guide on the last vehicle you will be getting
When did you start playing subnautica?
I would’ve spoiler that last word but maybe
I started in 2019
no thanks
Prawn is VERY useful
same bro
Nice
Jesus
2019-2020 Was when i played it the most
how have 12% never gotten it 😭
2021 for me fr
got freaked out by the open ocean
same
some people buy the game just to have it
for some reason i just stopped playing from 2023-2024, and then started again in 2025
Got gifted game never play, only play in creative
the ocean is safe, just gotta look out for those kelp dragon things, the strange thing in the grassy area and the weird squid
oh and drowning!
anyone got any mod recomendations?
Look at how many hours I have now, could've gotten more if i didnt stop playing from 2023-2024
if i didnt stop in 2022 i would have 2k hours fr
only 13..
1300 fr
Me to, i have 3k hours on a game that i never stopped from 2019-2024
Have you used commands? Seems interesting to only have 8 achievements with that playtime...
I started a few weeks ago and I have 80 hours
I would recommend visiting the underwater island wreck now btw
Yeah, a lot.
i just got this pc like 2 months ago so not many hours but on my playstation i had like 1-2k hours fr
Should I take the cyclops to grand reef or stop being a sissy and just go in the seamoth
i got no idea where that is
I never really like below zero
youll see a bunch of island underwater
its northern near to where you found that squid
Should I just use the seamoth instead of the cyclops
absolutely not
no
Absolutely, seamoth is best for the dunes too.
Greetings everyone
Can someone provide information on subnautica mobile launch.
- Mobile launch features ?
- Did Krafton buy Unknown worlds ?
- Future of Subnautica 2 PC delayed ?
I'm not dumb
dunes and seamoth 💔✌️
-
Not sure
-
Yes
-
No, Subnautica 2 is coming out on PC first.
Honestly no shame in guidance but I really recommend playing on your own by exploring the first time it’s worth the immersion and finding things yourself is fun
10 minutes left and have grapple
mobile launches tommorow i believe, krafton has owned UWE dor years. SN2 is not delayed
Id rather take a seaglide to the dunes
Okay 👍
Ok good to know
im being guided but vaguely, im still suprised about things like that damn squid
But its more scary with seaglide, i dont feel safe without a seamoth barrier between me and reapers
- Krafton bought UWE like 4 years ago
I'd feel safer with a cyclops barrier between me and reapers
I could easily get to ||degasi with just a seamoth but if u want to go deeper take a cyclops||
But I don't have that yet so it'll just have to tank some damage
seamoth barrier is like a sheet of paper around you anyway
its really fragile
My seamoth and cyclops go the same depth lol
Your right, but its still the difference between life and death
I need the cyclops depth module but I wanna know if it's recommended to just take the cyclops there
And add one of those protection modules to it, seamoth is perfect.
But if death isn't losing my wealth I'm fine with tha
Oh if it’s the depth than I recommend seamoth because u will have to keep it at the veryyy top of the cave areas the cyclops might get crushed
Ohh, i recently heard the news of change in Adminstration and change of their teams.
Which leads to a delay of SN 2.
Im in hardcore mode, so death = everything gone
nope, reddit misinfo
there is no delay
One time I had a pretty bad oxygen scare
Is the cyclops depth module that deep down
Ok
Ok
Read the official statement in #announcements and forget all rumors...
Tomorrow?
Idk where the depth module is I just craft it I meant about exploring the reef and deep reef
Wheres the best place to get cyclops fragments? I heard mountains was good, but seems a bit, risky.
I forget where the data box is I mean
Ok 👌
Yeah I'm not going to the deep reef
It's in a wreck in the normal grand reef
I'm not exploring deep grand yet I'm just trying to get things TO explore deep grand
once i beat the game, anyone got some recomendations on what i can do after? or do i just stop playing?
The west side of the mountain island has engine frags and no reapers
Oh yah seamoth is fine
Hull and bridge in mushroom forest or sea treader's path, engine (no reapers) crag field, underwater islands or south/west sides of mountain island
||Underwater islands wreck is by far the best option for engine fragments, and mushroom forest is best for the other two||
K
uuuh...
West to north but if u stay around 100m and up u aren’t in danger of reapers
Thanks, this will be very useful.
i need to wrap up this scuffed run soon
The humble underwater islands wreck:
I dont think sea treaders path has leviathans, right? only grand reef
can these fish please stop swimming in my base 😭
It strays very close to the dunes but it’s mostly safe
it does,|| sea treader leviathans||
Well, sea treaders are leviathans...
once i beat the game, anyone got some recomendations on what i can do after?or do i just stop playing?
How do I request the developers to make a separate channel for mobile players, is there a ticket system or moderators handled by messages.
it will be made when the game drops on mobile
They chill af thouu if u get too close to them in the cyclops they start yelling and shaking their antenna like fists
Ok sweet 👌
Thanks for the information everyone
I was talking about ||ghost leviathan|| since some are in the ||grandreef||, forgot that ||sea treaders|| are ||leviathans||
Play again, explore new places, make new bases, try creative, idk it’s up to you
You can explore areas you didn't during your game, build megabase(s), try to get all eggs, start a new playthrough...
Re play.
U waiting for mob release too?
Every time i play through the game I do it slightly differently than the last time
Different base location/design, different order i do things, etc
well yeah, thats how it works
What's the most dangerous biome in Subnautica? Void counts
It’s fun to explore new things the first time and then it’s fun to feel like you’re an expert the second
This playthrough im being careful, next one im gonna do a bunch of reckless stuff
Like dunes bases
speaking of reckless
Yes, I was surprised to hear they pushed the mobile version.
I'ma go drive out a thousand meters into the void now
as my semi-final thing i do before i beat the game
That may be survivable with a good cyclops and modules
Yeah man same, didn't expected that to come fr
I don't actually expect the inhabitants to be much of an issue, more of a nuisance
Leviathans at some point forgot how to attack me and ima exploit that
chat, why do i have to explore the lost river
My life pod is out way into the void for some reason and i want to visit it before i call the game quits
because it's a really cool biome
It's also got rare resources all over the place
To progress the story...
about to go to ||mushroom forest|| for ||cyclopes fragments||, is the ||mushroom forest ||near the ||dunes|| best?
there is, it has a lot of info that would be spolied for new players
It has a wreck to explore, otherwise the mushroom forest biomes are similar (for fragments and resources available)
what should i take there
I wonder if mods will be integrated even in the mobile version
They probably wont be
Ohh, that might be a possibility in future.
im starting to memorize the locations of things
Im needing my maps less and less, but i still look at it to make sure im correct.
Yep, cus at the moment the only way of playing Subnautica is through PC emulation
Alright. Setting sail on this most stupid of adventures
As far as i know there isn't even anything in that pod. I just want to go there because it's been taunting me
What I really want is to have multiplayer access at least 4 like Co Op Survival
alright
I never knew that, 😔
and whats the best way to get water?
bladder fish
i recommend getting 5 minimum
Cyclops and power cells, prawn suit and habitat builder with materials to craft a base with power to recharge power cells
Using Gamehub Emulator, I'm running Subnautica on my Red Magic 10s Pro
Bleach, water filtration machine, edible plants
whenever i do that i always run out fast
alright
I dont want the ||sunbeam|| to arrive, i want to do other stuff, but its coming.
Cool.
I actually just had my health and food lockers knocked out of my cyclops because of irresponsible repulsion cannoning 💔
Good work, soldier 🫡
😔
Apparently that won't happen on the experimental build
I don't know if there will be mods on mobile.
right now the only thing i can think of doing next is looking around for more parts of the cyclops but i feel like im still too early game to get it
They must have been blasted too far and fell through the floor cause I looked all over for them
Good luck
Playdigious uses anti-tampering techniques for their other games.
I mean you can get all the fragments, building it takes a li bit more time but yeah
Okay. At 1678 KM to go left to the lifepod and I cross from the dunes into the void
This is where the fun begins!
Your lifepod is in the dunes' side of the void?
How the hell did it get there 😭
It's Scarry Enough to face Leviathan class monsters on PC.
alr what should i be doing now? i am considering relocating my base to a grassy area purely because its flat and would be easier to build there
their run's been pretty screwed, but somehow theyre managing to keep playing with that
i have no idea how or why the lifepod is all the way out there
All i know is, it is
Dude mods I mean " mods " not hacks
Ah, the friendly locals have already come to pay me a visit
You could do that, honestly now its all about exploration, expansion, material gatheting. You'll piece together bits and pieces as you go along
Surely they will help me on my journey
wait whoever said to get a habitat builder to charge my powercells
visit underwater islands
Yes, with a sidequest
alr, for now i think ill start work on relocating
you can build a powercell charger with it
They’ll push you in the right direction trust
Awesome, show me when its done lol
He's just curious
i know but how to get power??
Solar panels, thermal plant
With power
depending on what you have
Solar panels, bio reactor, nuclear reactor depending on your progression/resources
solar panels are best for shallow bases
Yeah habitat builder, bring stuff for a bioreactor or thermal reactor to set up a temp base with power cell chargers
You attach those onto/inside of your base, it generates power, it uses power for all the functions. and also breathing
You'll need a base to really progress from hand to mouth in the lifepod
I have a thermal power base with 8k power
alright
Huh. The friendly local left
U could find fish anywhere for bioreactor but there’s a lot of thermal vents as well
Bout to bring in the group
guys what on 4546B. I disabled ||warper|| spawns through a mod but their weird ||warp portals|| still appear, just without the ||warper|| itself 😭 still enough to jumpscare me
I thought they harrassed you for longer than that
Cause the cyclops eats power it sucks to get stranded
keep a locker of charged pwoercells
and dont use the shields / sonar too much
will do, grassy plateau is still good with solar right?
I fail to see your point. If you have obfuscation and virtual machine techniques, integrity checks it means you can't inject your code.
Silent running is good if ur trying to shake off a big guy but it also eats power
I left FAST right after i got this photo
not nearly as good
Set up your power stuff properly and you can charge a billion batteries/power cells with no issue
ill just have to build a couple more solar panels then huh
get thermal plants and link them to your base from jellyshroom cave
Yeah indeed, you can build a bioreactor later on which gives more power, and other power sources, but for now should be fine with multiple solar panels
The only thing that ever really stresses your base's power generation is if you build a bunch of water filitration units
W self preservation, you lived to see another day dude
Otherwise, like. One bio reactor filled with fish? That will do ya as long as you keep it topped off
Thanks
And you can give it a single nuclear power reactor buddy if you're really concerned
"ultiple leviathan class-"
jellyshroom cave has the second best thermal spots in the game, you should use thermal power
Do u think the creatures are still conscious in the stasis rifle bubble or is it like a blip in their memories
I dont plan to ever go to the dunes again until i get the ||Defense module|| on my ||seamoth||
where abouts is that?
huh wait. I was literally only attacked by a single buddy in the void lmao
who left almost immediately. and now it's just smooth sailing the rest of the way
I hyped up this journey for nothing
Im in hardcore, dont get that :(
He never even bit me
@onyx badger solar panels are really only viable for super shallow bases or land bases
i dont think its specific to a mode, is it?
i have a whole invetory full of bladder fish now
can make ultiple, just for starting up a base then put in a bioreactor
alr im looking for a shroom cave to build my base around but im having no luck so far
well hardcore doesnt get o2 alerts so it probably applies to warnings aswell
would be funny if you accidentally cooked one
wait what-
yup
lol get clapped
Im doing something stupid right now
Im not entering the dunes, but im at its border to see the reapers
They dont like me but they havent attacked yet
I have achieved this monumentally anticlimatic victory
Lmao
it's kind of interesting how the water is orange out here
Good work, soldier
i was just playing on a hardcore world when i wanted to go to the ||deep grand reef degasi base|| when all of a sudden a crabsquid destroyed my seamoth and i didnt have any oxygen left, this game is killing me
i went and prepped for water, by which i mean i brought the stasis rifle with me
and it's just been completely not worth the effort lmao
so the ghosts left you alone?
@onyx badger jellyshroom cave is only around the southwest grassy plateaus
so question is, how do i defend myself agains warpers and crabsquids in the future?
The 'multiple leviathans detected' is not a warning, it's just a message for entering a biome
rest in peace
alr thanks
it acts as a warning to players aswell
went into the lifepod. exited the lifepod... and the first time animation played again
Park your seamoth somewhere it won't be destroyed (and turn off lights)
Lmao
Like, I saw the bird fly over the window and stuff. the music played
its the grassy plateus with that one grassy plateus wreck you explored
turning off the lights makes it undetected by the crabsquid?
hello
Not undetected, but crabsquids react to lights (the only creature which does)
||Bonesharks:||
Ignis made a video of why that happens
looking at the shade of water, yea ur in the crash zone
Pda entry says so, but game code doesn't...
it actually spawned the rabbit ray and holefish, too
Bro eventually they will find a way to crack it down, look at Minecraft, first version of the game you weren't able to add modded stuff, but after...
I can rescue the holefish, but the rabbit ray is on his own
eat them
Just got another reaper photo at dunes border
well. I could rescue the fish if i didn't immediately lose track of it
Minecraft has a larger community. At the end that's what matters.
chat should i grind titanium at the crash zone?
I promise you i am deep out of bounds
yes
Here is explanation:
#subnautica-chat message
metal salvage heaven
best spot by FAR for titanium in the game, especially if you kill the reapers
ok
||shoot it|| with the ||stasis rifle|| then gas it
ill try
Alright well. This was a fun little adventure. Time to head back
stasis'
This leviathan scared me
Leave the poor rabbit ray and maybe the holefish to their fates
oh thanks
@hybrid glen takes 36 gas pods btw each reaper
didnt know that lol
take contingency health packs and gas pods aswell
thanks
oh even better
lmao
torpedos kinda suck
they sound good on paper
but you need to stasis the target for any effect
yay! the friendly local has returned to guide me back home!
and you also have a cooldown on torpedos
i think his navigation needs some work, though
wait dont gas pods kill you
not if you get out of the way
If you're quick you can grab the pods before they explode
@hollow marsh so make my base above this cave right?
You can make it anywhere in that grassy plateus as long as you have power transmitters
Okay so yeah, the friendly locals were not an issue in my void exploration at all, as i suspected
in fact, if anything they kept me in there longer, when on the return trip they kept knocking the cyclops into all sorts of weird angles
They never managed to actually attack it, even when the friendly local brought his equally friendly friend
How do I find anything in the mushroom forest
alr, time to start my new base
You can make a scanner room nearby.
think i need to collect some lithium before i build it just so i have enough for the big rooms
I thought there would be a lot in the mushroom forest, it seems empty
before you build
i would recommend visiting the underwater islands wreck
how come?
get off your seamoth and do a lot of manual searching lol
just get in and out of it to move
Yeah man, but who knows, only time will tell
it has a prawn attachment that will make your resource gathering life way easier, and also just generally the best wreck in the game
Alright, ill start searching more closely
uhhh i found a glitch
what are you searching for
where abouts is the underwater islands?
Cyclops fragments
Also I found this in the mushroom caves
do you have the ||engine|| fragments
use the aurora for direction
what specifically
pretty sure theres some near the aurora
Dont go to the aurora for fragments
No, literally none yet
and is the place im going safe?
I dont have the defense module on my seamoth, so I dont plan to
drive away from them its fine
quite safe, but there is a medium sized aggresive creature
is it that squid thing?
||Go to the underwater islands wreck, you can find a lot of engine frags there for way lower risk||
Alright, I will, also ||in the mushroom forest I found some moonpool stuff, so ill build a base real quick then go to underwater islands.||
No but theres a bunch of these creatures so repair your seamoth very frequently
(only one aggressive species)
||theres 2 mushroom forests , just go scavenge around the sea bed||
Base will be here
back, whats the topic
This is the safe shallows that borders the ||dunes||, better then the other one.
surprised youre still here, i swear i saw you log on hours ago lmao
nothing else to do for me rn
anyways, regarding engine frags, i'd check uw islands wreck before aurora
safer
this place?
Alright, so
Im an hour drive away
yup
from?
my pc
and this is the aggro creature?
yup
38 hours on subnautica, my god
perfect, nothing to worry about here, just some weird dragon fish
Boneshark
only like 13 hours of actual gameplay, i just havent bothered to close it
theres a lot of them
how does this keep getting damaged, i keep fully repairing it.
and what depth is this wreck roughly?
-200m
I've started building a base in one of the mushroom forests, and when i come back i'll go to the mountain island for the sunbeam stuff
think i found it
place it in the grassy platues
yep, you can find cyclops engine fragments here, it is by FAR the safest spot to get them
alright thank you, im guessing theyre inside?
not to mention the drill & grapple arms
and like
other stuff ig
Inside and out
Why would I?
search outside first
mostly outside, inside has one or two slots i think
let me check
Look at a map, the one bordering the ||dunes|| is right next to ||grassy platues|| and ||kelp forest|| AND|| mushroom forest||
these are the engine slots in the uw islands wreck
This part of the safeshallows is good
It pains me to see people go to like the aurora for engine frags instead of this wreck
for context, each of these have a 15% chance of generating one
#subnautica-chat message heres a graph
on average, there are about 4-6 around and in the wreck
Where did you get this map from.
aurora looks like this... yeah
https://ignis.errorfm.com/subnautica_map/?game=sn very useful for technical details
I have a question regarding the geographical map of Subnautica
hi ignis
yeah ive explored the entire crash zone and have found only two engine fragments
The ego the guy has, to have his nickname in the url.
Does the northwestern mushroom forest directly border with one of the grassy areas?
Or am i tripping?
eastern border, yes
erm
thats the prawn suit bay inside the aurora to be specific, the crash zone looks like this
only showing the back of the aurora, since the rest of the biome doesnt have any slots for some reason
btw regarding that
ignis, is there any way to see what the exact percentages are for slots
rather than just eyeballing from a gradient
like a list or something
chat
Yes you can check the xhr response, but I think the colors are fine. When it's white it's low. If you use techtype you can see how many were actually generated from that.
What is it? I know the most about those, I research subnautica maps
Oh this was the question
No it doesn’t border the grassy plateau
i just scanned a reaper leviathan
It those border a very slim, only like 15 meter long, safe shallow barrier to grassy platues though
didnt find much on the inside, outside i havent found anything
they blend pretty easily with the "ground" from my experience
what?
all the way at the bottom??
the untitled biome on the right is plateus
that is very much a border
what no
the quotation marks were since theyre islands
not really a ground but yeah
as you can see here, theyre mostly on those two islands
including inside the wreck
these are the only spots i can see that could have something
surrounding the wreck
spoiler that perhaps
thanks for the spoiler
repost
meh
Actually I just deleted it
wonder what those blue things are
Thanks for the good repost
Those are what keep the islands floating
ancient floaters
I installed a survey room in the red grass zone near an entrance to the jellyfish caves. At first it was showing me 3 pages of scannable items, including underground ones. Now only two pages. I don’t understand
if i hit the bone sharks do they swim away or nah?
finding it hard to swim around the wreck
perhaps some fish were on the border, likely above ground, and they left
Excuse me, what ?
if you hit it with a seamoth it'll die in two hits but damages your vehicle
the "survey" room (observation room) only lists materials and creatures that are in its radius
if some fish were on the border of the radius and they left, they wouldnt be on the list anymore
Observation room?
No it showed me magnetite and stuff. I have two range upgrades installed.
scanner?'
i meant observatory, brain fart
I think you mean scanner
Yeah scanner room
wait no its scanner room wtf is wrong with me
😭🙏
Lmao all good
So why the sudden change ?
i enjoy subnautica
Thats mean
yeah but it also shows creatures, no?
No
Only leviathans
Did you leave the world?
oh
erm
I reloaded
Yeah that might unload some things so now they aren’t appearing
i guess it might not actively update for optimization reasons
It could be that all the stalker teeth frll down the map and ledt the scanner room radius
They are still there but you need to re enter the area either with a camera or just as a player
Oh ok I’ll try that
good thinking actually yeah
That’s a bit lame though
Or you couldve removed range upgrades
doubt its this, scanner forcibly loads resources even when they arent in player radius iirc
Maybe you broke all the outcrops in the scanner room radius?
It worked
I don’t think that’d be great for optimization performance, but trust me if you use a scanner on a world you’ve had open and explored for like an hour, and then leave and rejoin it’ll go less
odd
Just a dip into the cave and voila, magnetite back on the menu
yeah ig that can only be explained by asset loading
weird
It just only loads a certain area around the player
Good to know. Thanks
Np
guys how do I put my base on the blue water tree part in the lost river without dying
bc i don't wanna go back and forth for stuff
Use a vehicle?
how wdym
I wanna take everything from my base and put it on that place
The scanner room uses the resource tracker database. The database is like a list, that is populated when you go around and load the resources around you. The scanner room just reads the list, and adds a signal every 14 seconds on items from that list that are in range of it. The list is not saved that's why you have to swim around or use the drone after each load.
that didnt really answer my question
So it isn't that the resources have to be loaded, they have to be tracked.
If it's unloaded afterward it doesn't matter. The scanner room will show them if they are on the list.
I wish you could scan reaper leviathan with the scanner room
You can.
oh i didn't know
There should be a thermal vent in the room with the tree
oh
Personally I used the submarine and didn't build a base around there
Submarine + prawn suit, the submarine was able to bypass most enemies with the stealth mode
The submarine is basically a mobile base, you can plant food in pots
And its energy will recharge if you park it above a thermal vent
what the heck 😭
alright. All that's left to do is finally end this scuffed run
What price will subnautica for mobile be if i pre register
clearer image
how the hell does one mod subnautica 😔
yes they swim away
Because I don't know as on Google play I'm pre registered but it is out on IOS
does anybody else load all of the storage units on the rocket with all the most valuable minerals you've got before ending the game
There's literally no reason for it but I always do
They are going to need to add a chat called "subnautica-mobile" soon
Because of the mobile port
They should add realistic gas pyshics
You cant take normal air to 200 meters irl, not even to 100 meters.
You've got a gadget that can build an entire complex out of a few bits of scrap metal
one last look at the scuff, coming with me to curse Earth or wherever it is Riley goes back to
Where are Subnautica games saved?
that doesnt matter you still cant take normal air to 200m
The files
It depends on your launcher.
it should be able to fabricate the right gas mix then
What folder exactly?
My point is that we're dealing with super sci fi tech that'd make Star Trek blush
For some reason whenever I play, my games or settings don't save
I dont really remember, maybe ignis does
Steam
You know that sibnautica has manual save right?
Yes
Ok thats good
Right click on the game in your Steam library, properties, installed files, browse. Then enter SNAppData/SavedGames/.
There's a biter inside my cyclops
So it was the right folder. No matter how many times I save, it just won't appear there
$9
idk if the pricing is localized though
I've already lost 3 runs
Do you have an error message when you try to save?
No
hai boiis
Works as normal
how y'all doing today?
Show me the log file. Windows key + r, shell:localappdatalow\unknown worlds\subnautica, Player.log.
After a save.
Subnautica 1 was great, i dont think anything else will be as great as it
some others can be good, but i think SN1 is always best
It really is monumental
Eh, i feel BZ improved on S1 in pretty much every way
What specifically do you wanna see?
Messages about your save.
This was so fun to watch now I have a pet biter just floating around
what is happening
The entire log save?
is there a way to move a prawn suit with commands
yo wtf is screeching outside my base
Just share the entire log yes, I'll know what to look for.
Should i make a dunes observatory or a blood kelp trench/zone base
