Is part of your base above water? Parts above water surface don't affect integrity (so useless to build reinforcements above water surface)

Screenshot shows -2.25 integrity, so one more reinforcement or foundation should do the trick. Then find and repair all holes

What does is changing the downsampling.

Not just the coilliders setting.

But if you don't change the downsampling, you have collisions where you shouldn't.

When the mesh in lower level of detail is down-sampled, you get really rough shapes that overflow in higher. Instead of having a very detailled shape you get bad triangles. I don't know if it's Unity related or not. But the fact is, if you don't downsample them you don't have the problem.

The issue is that not downsampling the further meshes is a performance killer.

You can still try. When I tested I was on my i7 4790k.

I didn't test with my current hardware.

Nah, to my knowledge, it isn't being updated anymore. The last update was in 2023, when they added it to the Steam deck, and the last actual game update was in 2022. Also, Unknown Worlds is more focused on making Subnautica 2 now rather than making a Subnautica 1 update.

I use a crusty old laptop and the tree mushrooms decide to appear when I’m less than a meter in front of them, full speed in my seamoth. With lowest graphic settings.

Eggs shouldn't need any specific flora to hatch/grow. Alien Containment has space constraints that vary with the size of the creature in your inventory (I think it checks the horizontal spaces, but I'd have to double check the wiki)
