Yeah, I was also thinking that seaglide needs scanner and the scans, compared to fins only needing silicone rubber, which you anyway need for the knife (and there is always a bunch of seed clusters, so you get enough anyway)

they did, replaced them so they are all facing one way and voila, gaining charge now

Are you using power for something? In what order have you built the power sources (affect how they are used, but becomes random when reloading save)

I suppose you had initially solar panels being used, and your energy consumption was very close to production rate of two solar panels. When you removed and rebuilt the splar panels, your nuclear reactor became 1st priority and is used now (it generates power much faster than solar panels). Currently your solar panels start to be used only when consumption is more than what nuclear can generate (or rods run out)

To my knowledge the orientation of solar panels doesn't effect power production, only time of day, depth, water murkiness (basically biome the panels are in) affect solar panel energy production

The crystalline sulfur is a little bit more tricky
Be sure you have the reinforced dive suit because it can be in a bit of the harmful green brine
I get mine in the ghost forest where the crystalline sulfur is shallow and I can find pieces to pick up that are very shallow and I don’t tend to get hurt, but using the reinforced dive suit is a good protector, plus having some extra medkits just in case
