A little off topic but I’d recommend going for prawn suit with all depth upgrades. Extra power cells for if you’re going straight to ||lost river or deeper. It doesn’t have as much room storage wise but gives you more tools to get to the end-game areas||

Though, regarding the Sunbeam's destruction, while the wiki does say that it was completely obliterated, leaving only metal salvage left of it, I tend to imagine that the front of the Sunbeam, including its bridge had managed to somewhat survive the rest of the ship's destruction, though with the crew inside dead from the pressure wave, judging by where the QEP had struck the Sunbeam where I thought the drive core of it would've likely been and the Aurora's drive core explosion, but that it couldn't be found after hitting the seafloor because it became buried under sand from a landslide it caused by its impact next to the side of the mountain island.

||If you are searching for diamonds, lithium, or gold, the best spots are areas with abundant amounts of shale outcrop. My top spots goes as follows:

1. Mushroom Forest by the Auroras left side

2. Path of Sea Treaders

If you need rubies, go half a click southwest from the zero point, and when you see a vertical wreck, go left of it and you’ll see a cave with plenty of ruby that makes you set for the rest of the game (highly recommend a seamoth, high capacity 02 tank+, and a rebreather.)||
