so, ||firstly your lifepod spawns in a random biome and it SINKS. and that's why it's hard at the start. What i know is the recharge of the lifepod is slowed down, which means you have limited power in the long run. and after the aurora explodes, you cannot breathe in the outside anymore. you have to put a floating air pump and use some pipes to get oxygen. or just use the lifepod. while the aurora crashes, if you're not deep enough (probably like deeper than 100 meters.) it pushes you on the ground or wall and crushes you. And the game itself has more radiation in the whole game if you don't fix the aurora. And the creatures are uhh i remember it being 2 or 3 times more aggressive. so that is the mod||

I had this happen to me on my 1st playthrough + I didn't even have laser cutter or beacon. I tried following some tutorials but they were all starting at their lifepod which's spawn location is slightly randomized. After a long break from the game. I decided to delete my old world and start a new one. Now I've beaten Subnautica and really enjoyed it. I'm not telling you to restart but it's always an option.

||sea dragons|| have the same effect on cyclops interior as repulsion cannon: when it's close it can detach lockers, fabricators etc built in cyclops. They start sinking and if you can reach them before they glitch in the ground, you can retrieve items and decraft lockers etc for raw materials
