after a few log on/log off and disconnecting permissions etc on twitch

now my wife's 7tv is tied to my own LOL

and my own becomes empty

all emote slots, all verified status, all editors, EVERYTHING got swapped

i think i corrupted the system LOL

Is there a way to remove the ability for other viewers to view the 7tv "mod log" in stream? The purpose being while in a stream a viewer tried to dox the streamer. The stream mods deleted the comments, but for any with 7tv using the "mod log" could still see the message. This seems like a major oversight to privacy.

No, there is no way to hide that. Twitch publicly exposes that information. It's not a privacy issue on 7TV's end. The same information is available in chatterino, for example. 7TV only makes that information more easily available in peoples browsers.

You can't delete information that has already been sent to all the viewers. All twitch emote extensions have an option to simply ignore the request to hide messages that get "deleted."

I think you can report those to twitch, so the doxxers can get their accounts banned and the messages get deleted.

I would say the badge system was poorly and hastily implemented. It's one of the things that needs to be redone

Badges can be delayed by up to a month, I believe

HOWEVER

If you think about it...

You get the 1 month badge as soon as you subscribe

so you're really getting it at 0 months

so even if it's delayed by a whole month, the time is still kinda accurate. lol

and you'd get the 2 month badge anywhere between 1 month and 2 months

so TECHNICALLY you're getting the badges up to a month EARLY

7TV username is set on the first time you link the account. It doesn't change after that. Eventually they will hide that username though, but there are other things to fix first.

I got annoyed enough at 7tv letting users give emotes stupid names that are just normal words that I wrote a little FrankerFaceZ add-on to filter them out.

It includes a list of common English words, and lets you add custom words.

It's client-side only, but it's something.

i think you need to upload it as <emote_name> first, then set custom name with the !<emote_name>

do you have an origin set added? happened to me too whenever I renamed an emote #help-old message
a fix is just giving the emote the alias before you add it to the set instead of after.

right click the emote > use emote > type the alias into the 'custom name' text box > click the set u want it in
if it's already in the set and u wanna rename it, remove it then do this ^

My 7tv has randomly stopped working, any ideas why? Platform I stream on is twitch, i thought it was just generally a 7TV problem for the last 3 weeks, but nothing has changed. I haven't altered anything for this to randomly happen. I've un-installed and re-installed all 3rd party extensions (BTTV/Frankerface/7TV) and still nothing.

yea, that's a common issue everyone is struggling with I think. Also it seems to occur more often, when you open multiple tabs of twitch streams. But it's a known bug as far as I know

I need some help. I had a Kick and Twitch emote set for my account. I changed my Twitch username and now it's messed up. It won't let me access both of the emote sets now. I have to do weird sign in things to get access to one or the other, but not both. For some reason it sees it as 2 whole different accoutns and not the same account with both sets? Is there a way for someone to delete all of my userdata/7TV account so I can completely start again from scratch and redo my sets?

Whether the 1000 slots feature will stay is unknown, but there will be a feature to track emote usage in your channel so you can remove those that aren't used often
And 600 slots is more than enough, you dont need 1000 slots

1. every newly uploaded emotes are unlisted, and has to be manually approved before it can be used publicly. You can still enable the emotes in your own channel, or link it to channels you want it to be enabled in

2. It used to show which channels enabled the emotes. But due to some backend change, that feature is disabled as it was causing issues
