thats actually all it is, it's just supporting the guy who makes ffz's bttv addon

it used to be its own extension but it got integrated as part of ffz itself

for that reason it's unlikely we'll support it natively. maybe they can inject it themselves when we expose our own plugins API for developers to modify the 7TV chat box

My guess is its not actually a rule and it seems like mods are sometimes accepting/rejecting based on what they personally feel, rather than sticking to a a set of guidelines (if they even exist yet)
Or if there are guidelines, there are just gaps in them where emotes exist, and whether they should be accepted/rejected isn't clearly established, and if that's the case I feel like there should be some sort of consensus between mods before an action is decided

doing this will confuse the server as the emote isn't actually part of the set you're editing, and you'll end up modifying a random one at the same position

Look... I have my own set of 560+ emotes, I add emotes in my own set. If I feel I should rename an emote, I rename it my own account. I just go into the streamer's account and go to add origin then select my set, he only has ~9 default emotes in his own set.

Quick question: is there a way to somehow wipe/recreate a 7tv account? I changed my Twitch username and found that I needed to remove/redo several connections to the Twitch account. I noticed that 7tv is still tethered to my old username, and I can't modify it in the blanks under Profile (re-creating the connection isn't causing a change, either). Importing from BetterTTV yields no results, and I wonder if this is why (BetterTTV is under "Geop", the correct name, but everything under 7TV is tethered to "MrGeop", the old name).

The amount of money and manpower that has gone into Floatplane to make a YouTube alternative is insane. It's been many years and it still doesn't have feature parity. I know it's also a video hosting platform, but I think in general projects like that are way more difficult than they first appear

In general, for a broadcaster, all the native bs that twitch does to their chat is more important than for a viewer

so if chat doesn't have X random thing that twitch added to their chat yesterday, then people will get mad
