Seems like you unlinked your twitch account from your main 7tv account.

then go on your profile and relink your twitch account

I have an extension called "Alternate Player for Twitch", I'm on Firefox and prior to the most recent 7TV overhaul, both 7TV and AP4T were working fine together, now 7TV is the only extension that wont recognize the chat within the player, (BTTV and FFZ work fine).

Does anybody have a solution to this? I love the new 7TV update and it's features, but I have constant buffering issues when not using this alternate player plugin, thanks in advance! ❤️

Yeah I've definitely noticed the extended delay as well, just sucks because when I use the normal Twitch player recently, (with no ad blockers enabled) I get really bad buffering and player freezing. It's really odd, also being able to resize the chat is a huge plus as I have only two monitors and I like to look up TFT stats so resizing helps me make the best of my screen space.

There's a setting that will let you change the position of the 7tv emote menu to be under the chat input, that way you can also use the FFZ emote menu. A lot of features from FFZ don't work with 7tv atm since 7tv replaces chat entirely.

If you still keep finding issues or features from ffz that aren't there anymore then it's probably due to 7tv replacing chat and preventing those features from ffz from appearing on chat. Alternatively you can enable the 7tv addon on FFZ and disable the 7tv extensions if those features from your ffz profiles are important to you @serene talon

If I uninstall 7tv it takes 40 years to see if a new emote got added and I lose a ton of features that are actually useful. I try to work around it on ffz, I cant cause 7tv just controls every other chat extension

yes, the events v1 api has been deprecated (which is how the 7tv addon on FFZ works), so it's not updating automatically unless you refresh, iirc there's a WIP for the 7tv addon on FFZ, but no idea for when.

There is a way but it's kinda complicated. Basically make sure your discord is linked to the 7tv account, then unlink the old twitch account. Then link the new twitch account. Just make sure your discord is linked otherwise if you get signed out for any reason you're locked out for good.

lazy way is i export as mov out of after effects (which has an RGB + alpha layer you can turn on) then I use imagemagick to convert to webp

magick.exe ./emote.mov ./emote.webp iirc and then i just upload and delete files

and it has its own highlight feature

so bttv's highlight would not work if you have 7tv enabled

Hey, I've been having an issue with my 7tv for the past few days and I was hoping there would be a way to fix it.
Whenever I enable my 7tv and reload the page to be able to see all the emotes, it removes all badges from viewer names in the chat. (e.g. prime badge, sub badge, mod badge, etc.)

try these steps:

1. reset/remove your TWITCH pfp (in twitch account/profile settings)
2. set a new twitch pfp after resetting
3. logout of 7tv site and log back in with your twitch

Colon-complete is when you type :(emote) and it shows you a list of relevant emotes like on discord and tab completion is when you type part of an emote and press tab and it fills the rest of it in for you
