this update completely rewrites the chatbox to heavily improve performance. Since it's rewritten, other extensions (bttv/ffz) will not work and they cause conflicts. So the onboarding suggests disabling them to prevent conflicts.

I don't see the issue with advertising our subscription which supports us and provides cosmetics and other features that these other extensions don't offer

hello, i was using 7tv & it stopped working suddenly. i did a bit of research & couldn't find a solution to the problem. i ended up restarting firefox to reproduce the problem. turns out, when permanent private browsing mode is enabled, 7tv does not work. i didn't have this issue prior to the update. is this something i should report in bugs & is there a solution? i hope, this is the correct place to voice here. i apologize ahead of time if it's not. i'm using firefox 111.0.1 (64-bit) on windows 10. prior to the update, everything was working perfectly.

also - i used the on-boarding provided by the app to check for any other apps that might interfere, but everything checked out fine.

The new v3 extension has a rewritten chatbox which focuses on much better performance. Any chatbox settings from other extensions (i.e. bttv/ffz) will not work. If you'd like, you can request desired features in the integration thread in #v3-help @unkempt hedge

I love the improved performance, it's noticable, but I spent 20 minutes trying to figure out how to get my favorites back, and another 15 trying to figure out how to get a message to you, as there's no contact information I could find in the app or on the site.

1. go create a new twitch account
2. on 7tv right click the login button and select "use discord"
3. you should be on your account that only has the discord linked and now you want to link that twitch account you just created to this account.
4. now that you have another account linked. you should be able to disconnect discord from this account now.
5. log out of 7tv and twitch. then log back into twitch on your main account.
6. try logging onto 7tv via twitch now and you should be able to access the account again.

I've tried looking for an answer but didn't find anything, sorry if I'm repeating something that has been answered.
While on modview you have the ability to click usernames in order to get their 'card' up next to chat. Since the new update this doesn't work anymore, if I want to get up the card I have to manually type /user [username]. I've tried disabling and enabling various things. Disabling the modslider worked once, but then stopped working again.
Using Firefox, I've checked with other mods also using Firefox and one of them it works to click the username (she has modslider enabled), the other one has the same issue as me (he has had the modslider off the entire time).

Hey guys ! Since the new update (the stable version, not the beta one), I don't see 7tv channel emotes anymore, am I the only one ?

• On google chrome
• The issue occurs for every twitch channel (which I know have 7tv channel emotes activated)
• On the 7tv emotes menu, I can see the global ones, just not the channel ones
• Tried to uninstall and reinstall the extension ; didn't work.
• Tried to close and restart chrome/computer ; didn't work.
• On my other computer, which uses firefox, I can see the emotes just fine
• OS : macOS Mojave (might that be the issue ? The other computer which has the working extension runs windows 10)
• Other than that, the new features brought along with the update work just fine.
• EDIT : I can see bttv and FFZ channel emotes just fine, only the 7tv channel emotes don't appear (both in chat, and in the emote menu)

Oh I figured it out, it was an extension called Alternate Player for twitch.tv that was causing the issue. It works now but I have to disable it in order for 7tv to work

when i want to pause the chat, to ban or timeout someone it only does when i scroll up , when i use the ffz extension i can pause the chat when i have the mouse on the chat, so it makes more difficult to use it, another problem is the highlight, some words highlight when some parts coincide, an example is when I put the word "sub" and someone types "subscriptor" and the extension highlight it cuz it have "sub" in the word

For the first part, if you're looking for 'pause on mouse over' you can change it to pause in the native twitch setting.

As for the highlight, actually kinda valid complain umm a temp fix is to add a space after the highlght I think so use 'sub ' but without regex this seems like an issue.

7tv compatibility needs to be done by the dev on alternate player cause alternate player blocks all extensions except for old 7tv, ffz and bttv I believe
