The rewritten chatbox aims to increase performance and (eventually) integrate key 7tv site features like changing cosmetics, adding/removing from within chat without visiting the site, etc

when you set emote spacing to negative

what your saying is that you want emotes to be layed out smaller than they actually are

so the lower negative number the more text around the emote will overlap

because it hits the bttv token first

telling the tab completer its ok to put a space

sorry, but I see it still starting to happen. Confirmed by reloading the tab and having it be instant again. You start noticing delays when you 'confirm' a tab autocomplete, when you type, and when you backspace an emote away

I know part of it is that I'm very sensitive to latency in general lole, but it's at the point where I was able to deduce that the addon had auto-updated to latest version without me realizing, by noticing the symptom happening

My educated guess is that it's related in some way to the added functionality of either setting favorite emotes, and/or tracking most used emotes

If it helps, the main way I identify that it's happening, is by simply adding LUL to the input box, hitting space to place the emote itself in there, hitting backspace once to get rid of the space, then hitting backspace one more time to delete the emote, taking note of if there's any noticeable delay between me striking the key the second time, and the emote disappearing

just a parent message, if a parent message has a parent message of its own the parent is automatically set to the first parent

then "threads" are actually just any messages that share a single parent

I had a bug similar to this last night, but it was replacing my username every time someone redeemed a specific (or any? idr) channel point redemption (or not similar I'm fucking dumb LMAO)

So if X redeemed it, it'd change my username to theirs. Y would redeem it, then it'd change to Y. and any time someone @'d me it'd reflect that replacement

One thing a lot of people have trouble with is they become dependant on various features from FFZ. The new extension works differently than the old version in that it doesn't merely enable the 7TV addon in FFZ, so they just assume things are broken.

7tv + better TV seems to break channel Points not able to redeem any or claim channel points bonus with both installed. I have no need for better tv anymore as 7tv has added the features I used it for now. Just a FYI
