Ensure that the dimensions of your emotes are under 1000x1000 pixels, that it has less than 1000 frames, and that it is under 7 megabytes large, less than 50 fps if animated
For the best quality, i suggest you to resize your emote to 128 pixels high since the emote upload process will resize it to 128px in chat at max anyways

Account switcheroo, fun stuff. Have multiple 7TV accounts linked to banned Twitch accounts due to VPN. Took me long time to figure that out. First account was a founder and still subscribed, as there was no ability to login and cancel it (not that I wanted it to cancel). Wrote lengthy email about account migration, apparently they did it, so I can log to the first 7TV account, but I have Discord locked in different 7TV account. Oh well.

Over the past 24 hrs I've been chatting to someone who does work on FFZ's BTTV Addon, and specifically who's helped implement the proper rendering of BTTV's Emote Effects (including combining effects which were just pushed in the past hour). I told them that I like to use ChatIS for a chat overlay, and they said it should be easy enough to piggyback off their stuff to get the emote effects to show on ChatIS. They did say if you had any questions to join FFZ Discord and they can give a dev role to you to join their dev channels. 🙂

the way i built the tooling for the new 7tv extension is completely cracked though

extensions are traditionally the least enjoyable thing to work on

but i actually managed to make the dev experience way better, mostly piggybacking on Vite with some special configuration, and then by structuring everything in a way that lets us use vue on a foreign website like we control it

updating code and seeing shit update live within a few millisecs, without ever needing to refresh the full page, is a world of difference

there is no way to upload more than one emote at a time. also I'm pretty sure you can only have a max of 10 emotes in the queue at one time to prevent someone from botting the upload process and flooding the queue

There is no name changes on this site for now. It will stays with the first account you signed up as, not even re-linking account or log in and out

if you wish to transfer your twitch account to your 7tv-subscribed account, please try the following steps (NOT GURANTEED TO WORK AS THERE IS ALSO SOME PROBLEM WITH DISCORD ACCOUNT LINKING. DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK):

1. On the non-sub account (ItsKOOLDOWN, login with twitch), connect a dummy discord or youtube account (dont use any main acc that you'd care about)

Well if the mods are deleting the emote, and you keep reuploading it, they might ban you from 7tv. That’s not what they’re supposed to do, since you can’t be expected to know what’s happening. But sometimes some mods make the wrong decisions.

1. This Profile Picture component is just for 7tv subscribers to set their animated profile pictures. Non-sub is not able to use that function

2. The Twitch account and 7tv account are seperate entities, so changing your pfp on twitch would not affect the pfp (or any other twitch-related user details) on 7tv

3) Seems like you linked your YouTube account before your Twitch account, and it seems the system would not use the Youtube pfp as 7tv pfp.

So yes, for now you are stuck with no pfp on 7tv
