As of July 12 accounts have been decoupled from Twitch, as a result 7TV accounts have their own username field. This currently cannot be changed but will be in a future update. To retain full functionality, please sign out then back into the website so that your twitch data is updated.
I can't migrate BTTV
BTTV has been blocking 7tv's access to its data, so for now the migration too is unusable, and it's not because of the name inconsistence

@wet python yeh that's them. We gift him 1 month at a time; perhaps that is confusing the sub-check cos it seems to happen like this end of each sub cycle. But if he's not subbed it'd be better if we just couldn't USE the emotes at all once sub runs out cos without them being missing no one feels the need to re-gift.

Imo, I'm not entirely sure why you would delete an 'obsolete' version of an emote -> any people using the version will lose it of course, but I'm not sure how a version becomes 'obsolete'

Since some people use different versions of an emote that can be different sizes, fps etc., Im not sure if we'd do that in the future

Because if an emote version is considered obsolete by your standards (either outgrown or a better version of the emote) - if you delete the base and people lose that emote -> clearly the emote wasn't obsolete in the first place

your file(s) couldve gotten deleted itsself, you should have .bkp files in your appdata, if you have .bkp files that were dated like a day or 2 before, delete the new .json files, and the .bkp files will be the new file you use, delete the .bkp-<number> in the file also leave chatterino closed

the impersonator system from the old site is no longer in place

to "impersonate" for someone you can just go to an emote and add it to their channel set (using the emote set menu)

To manage their emotes, go to their profile and add, remove, rename or whatever else as you want

but we cannot merge versions, and we don't merge emotes that aren't duplicates. so differing dimensions, quality etc

it may be awaiting approval by a moderator, once its been approved it'll show when people search your emote by name

hello does anyone know why when i make a third set of emotes it has a cap of 300 rather than 600 like the first two?
