I got 2 feedbacks atm
- make buttons at right side of the screen smaller (in lobby)
- make it so players can still be reported/blocked even if they left the lobby, otherwise they can just run away after doing some scummy actions (example: duck killing another duck intentionally. Or harassing in chat)
ducks can't kill other ducks unless blind ducks or mimic are on, with a few sabotage exceptions... turn those off or learn to dodge
and that bomb... just pass it

So here is an interesting one, not sure if its a bug or not, BUT if you are in the store and buy a piece of clothing, and then w/o closing the store, the game starts, you don't see the new clothing, you see it when you exit the game and go back to the lobby

being immune to partner suicide would be cool tho, if you want to get murdered you could just permanently chase other players until you get killed or something, but using something like the shuttle isn't cool

It's impossible to make a ruleset for any role that is going to cover how player X is going to use that role over player Y and predict all the possible outcomes

Not sure if this has been suggested before, but an optional colourblind mode for meetings would be great. Sometimes we get players with almost unpronounceable names, and having the option for players to enable a text label with that player's colour on would solve the issue with colourblind players and saying "Oh, it was red that did it", and players not being able to see that. Currently we just have to remind players to be mindful of those who might be colourblind, and try to say player names, but obviously that might not always be possible in proxy

If you sit in the main screen for 30mins or so, and then try to join a room, it errors and then logs you completely out of the game, have to sign in again with email

So this only happens if you are in-active then? Because it most assuredly does not happen when you are active. Not sure what difference that makes though
I usually just close and reopen the game, steam auto-signs in for me. Most, if not all, online games have authentication upon log in and disconnect you if you idle long enough requiring a relog.. This is a non-issue imo.

you have 3 gigs of memory.. it's close to the minimum requirement. please close everything else on the phone before running ggd
would be nice if role screen at the end of the game made a more noticeable sound, or make it "click to return to the match lobby". Often as a ghost I finish my tasks and stop paying attention to the game, and end up missing the role screen

I've almost never done it by listening. My brain doesn't really pay attention to the speed of the music. Honestly, I never even knew the music changed speed until someone said it on Discord a while ago. I just looked at the notes and how messed up they were.
I think It seems like good to add job that have a skills to kill nominated one person when died by voting. There are so many unfortunate death. It can be reduce the victim who die innocent.

It's kind of overkill already because there was already a voice manipulating one, it just happened to give no voice
one was a cover, another is a distractor so yes they both alter voices but they work entirely differently. the silencer almost guarantees a button call next meeting.. I'd say if they go with the deeper route it would just be a Party Duck upgrade if a certain given role was partied.

We are working on this issue where some Bluetooth devices don't work correctly or as expected. It is mainly down to how phone OS allows use of mic and speakers.

It has not been completely neglected, we have been gathering data and information about the issue as it only seems to affect a handful of people and the devices we have been using in house have been working. Working with 3rd party libraries and mobile OS is not the easiest of things. There is not many other mobile games that we know of that allow voice chat during game play.
There has been small changes in the updates to see if they help with the problem.

Conversations that go on in private games are private, we do not have access to the audio in any way. Players themselves ultimately have control of who enters private games. You can block or mute the relevant players in-game and use the in-game censoring filter. If you are the lobby host, you can kick the offending players, and if you are not the host you can ask the host to kick them. Players who get kicked will not be able to rejoin the game unless permitted back in by the host. If the player in question is the host themselves, you and everyone else bothered by their behavior should leave and form a lobby of like-minded individuals, with your own agreed upon rules. If no one else in the game agrees with you, you probably shouldn't be playing in that lobby anyways.

so on apple mobile if you sign in on a gaggle account but later sign out and create a new account under a new email and new user name you will find that it still shows the same username from the last account only way i see fixing this with out it being internal is deleting the app and redownloading but yet to do that ill update if thats successful after stream today

The username you set in the top right before joining a game? Or friends list name?
The Nickname will always be Persistent across all accounts, this is stored against the app not an account.

The friend name was changed well technically it was added since it was a new account both times I logged in however wasnโt successful the first time . I resolved the issues already . By deleting the app and reinstalling it . And signing in to the new account

As people's game level rises, ducks are getting more and more disadvantaged.

Getting caught doing the chandalier sabotage is a real death sentence, only time I see people do it is when lights are off or if you're a dodo.

Every map, i go to sabo tasks first when i'm a goose just so i can get the sheriff who likes to camp them out
Chandelier is a good way for dead ducks to up their kill count. Basically provides a (somewhat unreliable due to delay) way to kill from beyond the grave, and ghosts can unlock it with no issues
I called the ropes task "Sheriff bait" and I'd honestly fake doing that task as a goose role esp if I got one I didn't enjoy... Now Gravy is a great role to go there as, since many people stop... you are likely to survive a kill unless its a driveby before people gather
It also gives natural Dodo a suspicious move.. Or as a duck, get someone to stop near one while you talk and hope a sheriff or vigi shoot them thinking they are doing the sabotage... Best bet is to spy someone doing a fake task then take them out as sheriff or vig.. after it gts called

Definitely, srf and vigi can kill someone who seem to be doing sabo. But they often kill innocent gooses who doing normal overlapping. So, do the goose who do normal mission have to die innocently bcz did overlapping ?

When I do a sabotage I say "I am doing the light sabotage please give me a minute" and people for some reason think I am lying and leave me to it
So, sabotage that only ducks can do is done after a long time, or let dead ducks do it.
Or do another sabotage and then do the mission.

No, since sabotage locations are fixed, if the goose sees the one who is close to a sabotage location, then the goose thinks that he/she is the duck who tries to unlock the sabotage.
if it isn't fixed, then you'll make the game way easier for ducks than it should be
one or two is fine, but randomizing them each game would get annoying as a sheriff or vig... can't see who might have unlocked one... cause it could be any, so there would be no deduction on sabotages

For those who plays this game a lot, the deduction using the sabotage makes ducks easily detected.
i give up trying to explain, deduction needs a slight base.. dodo's also use them to win and a good duck won't go to those sabotages first round... geese often get sheriff shot by doing tasks near these or even just walking into the room.. to randomize sabotage starters would remove all deduction from sabotages cause you could never know what task it was

Good geese distinguish between dodo and ducks. Also, In terms of ducks, good geese do mission so quickly. So the duck has to unlock sabotages as soon as possible for winning the game. If ducks do not unlock sabotages quickly, the game would be easily over by the geese who finish the mission quickly.

its okay and the back and forth wasn't needed, I felt like I said my same opinion over and over.. I wasn't expecting replies each time. I understood it fully the first time it was mentioned. And a Dev even said they are okay with the fact that people who play enough will know where sabotages are. They continually balance the game and add new roles to break up the meta. Now Dodo doesn't fake sabo's round 1 if the dueling is enabled. I got shot as a goose saying HELLO to a sheriff who was prone waiting for a duck to do lights sabo. Proxy chat changes things up. Often in a full lobby I never unlock a sabotage until I am a dead duck. Sometimes I unlock a sabotage, like Chandalier, then use it on myself. I unlock shuttle sabotage and get on the shuttle, then use it. Sometimes I get spotted, most of the time I don't. And "good" geese are hard to find, someone is usually slacking on tasks.. If lovers are on they might be avoiding it so they can pull that lover win. I just feel that random sabotages.. toggle or not... would just make deduction even harder. If fire goes off and you have no idea what room it could have been unlocked from.. there goes any suspicion anyone could throw... Bob: Joe did the fire task!. Joe: No, I plunged the toilet!.. Bob: Exactly... Thats one of the 10 spots you can unlock the fire... Joe: Who else is on a fire sabotage starting task? Sally: Me! Hank: Yup. Coral: Does doing dishes count? Bob: YES THE DISHES COUNT.... Dobs: So everyone is guilty?

Been mostly loving Dueling Dodo, with one exception. When one player gets all short/easy tasks and the other gets random chance tasks like fishing or the Whack-a-mouse, it can feel unfair for that Dodo.

The first thing you should do as the Dueling Dodo is to make an estimate on whether you have a good set of tasks or not. Realistically, if you have a round where you're the Dueling Dodo and you have a difficult set of tasks (like multiple 3-parters), you're not going to outpace the other Dodo. Where you're located relative to your tasks is relevant as well.
If you're very certain that you'll be outpaced no matter what, the best course of action is to spend time instead trying to figure out who the other dueling dodo is and to get them voted out or killed.

Conversations that go on in private games are private, we do not have access to the audio in any way. Players themselves ultimately have control of who enters private games. You can block or mute the relevant players in-game and use the in-game censoring filter. If you are the lobby host, you can kick the offending players, and if you are not the host you can ask the host to kick them. Players who get kicked will not be able to rejoin the game unless permitted back in by the host. If the player in question is the host themselves, you and everyone else bothered by their behavior should leave and form a lobby of like-minded individuals, with your own agreed upon rules. If no one else in the game agrees with you, you probably shouldn't be playing in that lobby anyways.

In the Players screen where you adjust player volumes, you can click the report button to report the player. This creates a report attached to their account. Multiple reports can and will lead to action taken against the account.

In cases of extreme rudeness, I deafen myself (default keyboard hotkey is P), then go to the players menu to mute that person

@rose bay we already do quite a bit for that and we're not really sure that the speed in which you access your friend list is that important. Adding settings to remove settings is kinda nuts.

A ton of feedback makes it into the game and if a suggestion comes up enough times from enough users it's definitely considered. If it's something we've considered and decided against we take the time to explain it.

I think the developers currently have other priorities at the moment and appreciate the feedback. They are responsive to the community and have given a valid reason as to why they do not currently plan to add it in. I am going to provide food for thought here. Just because someone makes an idea or a suggestion you agree with and we don't immediately put it in the game doesn't mean we don't respect the feedback. If I can provide a response as to why it is or isn't I will do so. If you're unhappy with that response and feel like we're subjugating the average player in favor of the streamer I understand. I am specifically saying we are not putting in "streamer tools" at the moment as well. I don't know where or how that comes off as a PR cover up for we don't feel like it. We've pushed 37 updates since the game launched 33 of them were content patches. We care a lot about the game and we feel like adding content to the game in conjunction with meaningful QoL features is important. I've expressed this many times here before and I've Implemented a number of suggestions personally and sometimes within days of them being asked. We're always having an open dialogue about what should be in the game and we're never favoring one type of player over the other. @rose bay, I encourage you to realize that we're a team of developers that hasn't slept in the last year pushing out more content than almost any game on Steam and we're going to continue to do so. As a matter of fact we're about to release another map this week! We encourage constructive conversations here and I hope you can appreciate that. As a developer, our time has to be spent on one thing at a time. Writing messages like this takes away from my development time but I feel it's important for our players to realize we care quite a bit about the suggestions and in no way want any of our players to feel like we are pushing their ideas to the wayside without consideration.

We started the business to make fun games because our other business was shut down due to the pandemic. We all have a background in gaming and entertainment and we said why the hell not. We decided to make a free to play game the way we wanted to make it solely for the purpose of bringing people together during the pandemic. That's why we focus on voice chat integration. We also wanted it to be free because a lot of people were financially affected during covid. We felt that as a company our mission was "no player left behind" and that meant we didn't want someone being left out because of a few dollars they couldn't afford.
There is a lengthy backstory that a lot of the community members know because they ask ๐
We have nothing to hide, we're an open book. As you spend more time here with the community you'll realize that were doing it because we love it. Not for a pay cheque. I can't speak for all of the Gaggle team, there are over 20 of us but I know that for a lot of us (especially the founders) we stay up late working because we're really trying to make this game a success.

I don't mind answering that. Hot keys are simple in theory but not entirely simple to implement. This isn't the main reason why we would/wouldn't do it. There are a lot of situations where we need to ignore them and a lot of corner cases that need to be addressed every time we put something into a hot keyable address. Especially for a window that can interrupt your keystrokes or has input fields/active button links and isn't always accessible. This is also a specific window that behaves a lot like a chat screen window. It falls into a category of not needing to be rapidly accessed for us and as such we decided against putting a hot key on it.
We're also against giving streamer specific tools/options. We want to keep the settings panel and game options as flat as possible to not be overwhelming to new players.
We're not trying to cater to a specific group, we're trying to cater to all players equally. In parts of Asia our game is absolutely massive! We're so thankful for that. In EU and NA it's a much more challenging market to crack. We are slowly growing in those regions but being free to play gives us much better exposure in countries where most games are F2P.
In the "west" the notion of F2P usually means cheap, knock-off etc.

Didn't put it behind a secondary click and got bad reviews from people accidentally closing it. We're learning the best way. This way so far is the best way.

I believe while not an answer directly I have a mind framing for this if you will. Consider things like Marvel and DC comics. Each in their own worlds make very compelling stories which are a lot of fun, I loved Wonder Woman and most of the MCU movies. However a crossover would not work quite as well given power scaling. Imagine Lex Luther fighting this world's Iron man with the suits he made to go toe to toe with Superman (without using Kryptonite) or equally an Ironman villain fighting Supes himself... it just doesn't work well. Considering other games like Town of Us, they have Sages with absolute identification power, and Altruist to bring back the DEAD who have seen all the roles. At worst the hard part becomes there convincing the people that need to be convinced that you are who you are. This is a very DC scaled world. Goose Goose Duck is by comparison more like the MCU, more tame but AMAZINGLY fun. NO Life / Death information crossing allowed, and no absolutes most of the time, intuition and fun are more the veins here than hard knowledge. Our assassin DIES if they misfire but we have units like the Pigeon and the Vulture, not the TIME LORD. If its more likely to make people laugh their collective
s off or fits a note of inquiry and chaos rather than a no guess auto win path, its more likely the GGD style. We have many ducks that are focused on the win but also the party duck as an example, GGD is just fun oriented rather than bluffing superiority based at its core and that's what keeps it special.
I would have never though to use comic book universes to help explain it but it does somewhat make sense. Every universe needs their own version of The Tick though.

I have been playing in the Japanese community for nearly 50 hours.
So I found that if I continued to play in the same lobby, the rolls would be biased.
What actually happened was a spirit medium three times in a row. Or it may be assigned as a duck like every time.
When this happens, we are responding by recreating a new lobby.
Rebuilding the same lobby, which is new when playing with about 15 people, is a bit of a hassle, so I would be grateful if you could investigate and improve it.
If you can, it would be helpful to reload the lobby.

It uses Google Translate.
The entire process is random, but it's very human to interpret patterns where there are none. If you had encountered a bug about the role assignment, it would be more likely to be an issue if it the results were absolute - For example, no player ever getting the Assassin in any of their games, or someone 100% of the time getting the Birdwatcher.
Players are also notoriously prone to exaggerate, and might interpret someone getting vampire three games in a row to being ten times in a row.
In short, the role randomization isn't bugged, your brain is bugged.
PS: I was asked to rewrite this and to also up the tone of hostility level from 2/10 to 9/10. Have fun playing GGD!
Is there any way to get Goose Goose Duck to send the voice chat audio to the system Default Communications Device output and keep all other audio from the game going to the system Default Device?
A lot of players that use mics (on a boom or stand or built into their device, that aren't on a headset) turn their head away from the mic while talking and can't hear them in meetings. It seems like all audio output is getting mixed to the system default audio device output, and it would really be nice to have the voice proximity chat going to the communications output. Other games and Discord allow the voice to be sent to a communications output device, which gives me the chance to filter it through a dynamic compressor to boost voices when they get quiet (automatically adjusting the volume on the fly,) but if its mixed in with the game audio, that just doesn't work. It's good that there is an option to select the voice input device in the settings, but there are no options to set the voice output device that I could find in the game settings.
Turning the individual player volume up in GGD settings does not work for this issue, since they they are too loud when they actually talk directly into their mic. Also, PPT doesn't work while the settings are open, so I can't talk and adjust player volumes manually at the same time anyway.
This is a good point, we can definitely take a look into this and see if we can split the voice channel output. I'll task the team responsible for our audio to look into this

I have a question for gaggle, when you die to the poison blowdart animation why does the beak swell with a growth caused by the poison? Are you saying the goose beaks are not made of keratin like other geese? Is this your way of admitting that these are not real geese but rather some strange human shaped like a goose that are grown in vats on the nexus map?

%feedback the Align Rings task and Fill Cup/water task are extremely loud and can't be adjusted like the other tasks, even with SFX at zero it is loud. I have sensory issues so it's very stressful

i was under the impression that peatato sab would randomly eat ppl when sabโs activated, similar to the nexus transporter sab. that would have been fun.
Too strong I think. The point of this timed sab is to give more opportunity to the killers to execute. It's operating exactly as intended.
I can imagine, similar to the Nexus teleporter sabotage, a random goose gets eaten by the God as they walk past.
How grumpy the God is determines how likely to get eaten you are.

The god sabotage is the only one on the jungle map that can give them a win. Can't take away the only win condition when only the falcon is left...
About the Mansion Map Electric Light Sabotage
There is a pile of leaves next to the sabotage mission, so that the goose can hide.
Because of this, it is difficult to use the light sabotage on the mansion map until one duck dies.
In the case of private rooms, in-game microphones are available, so the duck's winning rate is low.
Even the electric light sabotage is not available in the beginning, so the winning rate is even lower.
So, the location of the forest next to the sabotage.
I think it's better to move it under the stone on the lower left side of the yard.

Lights is a strong sabotage, and needs to come with risk. Either take the chance to unlock the sabotage, or work on better strategies to kill without it.

The reason I asked this question is because in the case of Korean servers,

The downside of a hiding goose is they are not actively finding bodies to report or doing tasks.. The ducks don't need sabotages to win.

instead of having the invite button next to your friends name, it should be a join button which teleports you to their lobby
and the invite button should be separate on the friends list so you can just check off the names that you wanna invite
many of us don't want friends to just auto-join us... like if we are doing a community game with certain discords, etc. it can fill up too fast and people not in those communities would be locked out until someone leaves or gets kicked... Invites / Joining should be a reactive thing on the player in the game, not a proactive.
It could be something like "Request to join" or something like that.
I do feel that certain roles are too problematic if put with each other. Namely the demo and vulture combo together are one of the hardest to counter for both duck and goose.
Can be countered if somebody keeps watching the corpse... but goose do have to do tasks, and everyone tends to run away from a timed bomb so might be too late to notice someone eating the corpse.
The idea of the duckling role posted in the other channel was my counter against such combo.
Would it be possible to make "found material" and medium's ghost vision windows not overlap? Sometimes I want to use the ability right after a task but it ends up getting wasted bc of random materials

Vulture is already the hardest role to win as, giving it a boost in demo games isnโt a terrible thing.
You also can disable vulture in a game that has a demo duck if you dont like that particular dynamic

I wasn't implying to begin with metaphorically for them to remain inside, or wear sunscreen (Choosing either to go with vulture/demo/none). But metaphorically adding a nice shade (Duckling to add to the challenge to both).
But, back to your argument about people not knowing about it. The same could be applied to the duckling, not everyone would know that the duckling is a possible solution or mitigation to the vulture dilemma.

Usually when Gaggle puts new ducks they tend to put some animations in relations to them. Plus if Duckling is put there could be a uno reverse gamemode where ducklings need to hide, while vultures eat them. an improved hide and seek. (with speed modifiers and such)

spy in meetings is a role that detects roles, not assassinate, gravy is meant to be killed in-game

If the Mortician and Falcon were out of the kill range then the Spy could kill the gravy.

I find Celebrity is strongly countered by Dodo. A smart group will strongly consider whether to vote someone out just because they can't answer the Celebrity question. I've seen a great number of Dodo wins when groups push the Celebrity question.
Send the Sheriff or Vigilante to take out someone who can't answer the question.

The same voice-related origin party can be a vent, but why can't the silencer be a vent?
The ability to silencer is okay, but I think the evaluation is low because there's no vent.
The trade-off for being able to silence is the inability to vent. The trick is to silence a person, then get them voted out or killed before they can spill the beans.

Suggestions for Hitman and Bodyguard,
Bodyguards are invincible when protecting targets.
(If they're alone or caught by another duck, they'll die normally.)
They don't know whether they protected their target until the game is over.
(They are compensated for silver as many times as they protect it)
If Hitman is disturbed by targets bodyguard, they fails the mission and loses they chance of murder.
(They are given a cool down just as they were when they murdered)
The targets of Hitman and Bodyguard change every round. After the meeting, the target appears on the right. Hitman gives a new target per round, whether they fails or succeeds in they goal, and rewards them in proportion to his successful goal at the end of the game.

Or I think it would be nice to have a costume that can be unlocked if you protect it with a bodyguard or handle the target more than a certain number of times with a hitman.

While yes, the ninja duckโs double kill is pretty op, if it werenโt for the fact it has 3x the kill cooldown of other ducks, and to make it go faster it has to sit in the fog for most of itโs game time. Itโs hard to answer questions on where you were when where you were was in the fog for the entire game.
The main aspect is that all roles have a โcounterplayโ so to speak, a way to work around said role. Giving the politician 2x votes is something that canโt be negated by strategy, but would also only end up mattering in late game 1v1s (which is when the current politician gets powerful).
To be honest, the cool time of the ninja duck seems to be too long.The number of professionals also rose by 50%, but wouldn't it be appropriate for ninja ducks to rise by 250%?
Even if the basic cool time is 20 seconds, you have to wait a minute to kill a ninja duck.
itโs a pretty suspicious claim. A good old โI havenโt seen X anywhereโ or even just โX went into the leaf pileโ if you saw it is usually enough to either get them voted out, or to send a hint to the assassin
If we wanna get mathematical, the double kill effectively gives it a x1.5 cooldown, and it lowers faster in the mists.
Either way, the ability to fake Sheriff and Lover deaths is extremely powerful, the cooldown just serves to give players time.

Sounds like in that case you should become a technicianโs daydream and a detectiveโs worst nightmare.
And besides, once you get long enough into the game, the rounds get long enough to let you kill, and geese are so few and far between that a double kill could mean an instant win.
As with any role, the biggest pro or con to them, is how the player chooses to use them. You are given game mechanics, it is up to you to find a way to make them work to your advantage. The biggest balancing factor in any game of social deduction is the player themselves and how well they either deceive or deduce to win the game. The game isn't so much "kill everyone as fast as I can to end the game" so much as it is "how can I kill the other players and get away with it?"
Try out the role first
It's worth itm in fog your cooldown loads up faster and u end up with and double kill. Profesional has to wait almost same ammount of time just for one kill. I don't think its too high..
The key with Ninja (I think) is that their kill cooldown does not reset with meetings. While you could hide in the Forbidden Passage, spending the first round doing fake tasks gives you an alibi and will likely burn through most of that extended cooldown.
The ninja isn't a mindless killer. They are a slow and methodological assassin.
Stay in the shadows and strike at the most opportune moments.

Maybe make it so the celebrity is only a mystery in the first meeting after their death, then give their slot a unique appearance for everyone to see in the next meetings

That and paying attention to who you've seen and not seen for most of the game.
As it is, a duck going into the fog can be risky with the mimic and pigeon able to out them without even going into the fog themself

Can there be a way that if someone disconnects, and then reconnects mid-game, that they don't lose their position and get kicked to the back of the line? For example, if a host is host, and they disconnect, they can retain their position as host if they DC but then reconnect successfully mid-game?
And perhaps a way for a host to assign somebirdy else to host?
both have been suggested and if the game is open for spectators anyone with the code can end up joining and filling that spot, many would find it unfair to hold that spot cause the "dc" player isn't guaranteed to return and other people might be waiting to join
but some want the dc person to have that spot, its one of those catch22 options

I was so disappointed! I was Ninja, waited a round and when Pigeon saw me in the fog, I chased them to another person, the two were right beside each other, I used my NINJA aaaaand.. only one died, and I was killed by the person beside themโฆ so, that was lame ๐
The Ninja can kill multiple people, but both must still be inside your kill radius, which can sometimes be tricky to judge.
Something I never asked during testing, does the ninja override the gravy's ability to deflect kills to those nearby?

if its just him + 1 other, they both get cleaved
i could see them leaving that to overwolf mod makers if / when they get to that point
If you're on PC, you could turn the in game music to zero and have that playing in a browser
These aren't really considered big issues, but a few things I've noticed on the new Jungle map is that
The mice in the two mouse holes move around slower as opposed to other mouse hole tasks in other maps
The fishing task, unlike on other maps, has the lure fully submerge (not talking about the lure splashing slightly) which gives people the illusion that they caught what they're meant to catch, only to pull it up all the way and have nothing on the hook
The latter is really the most frustrating one

There was just something I noticed when playing in the lounge yesterday (The hangout mode). When it comes to the doors when you go into a private room when someone knocked there is no way to check who it is. Also if their was more then 1 person in the room if you wanted to open the door to let someone In you had to make sure all but 1 left the room first then you can open the door normally so people can enter the room. There were also a few bugs where the doors opened and closed themselfs.
Also if possible to add a few more interactive things in that space so people can spend a little more time doing things there

If you are the lobby host, you can kick the offending players, and if you are not the host you can ask the host to kick them. Players who are kicked will not be able to rejoin the game unless permitted back in by the host. If the player in question is the host, and a sufficient number of players block their mics, they will be kicked from the game, and once again that will be reflected on their account.

"Pardon Kicked Players" forgives everyone kicked. If a bad player was killed and a friend was idling too long, there's the chance of forgiving the bad player.
change map twice, once to another map, then back to the one you want to play on, not only do you keep the players (if they follow) you get a free new code! Then you just send that code to your friend. Its something I suggest a streamer does if they accidentally leak the code.

I appreciate that it's a workaround. It's inelegant, but it works. Often, I'd rather kick someone in a friendly manner than banning them, but it is what it is. Just so long as neither of us are offended and know we're being civil.
hey they actually update this game quite often that I rarely need a workaround, really this is the only one I've had for it as it is very recently added. Other games I've had decades of workarounds they will never fix.

Is it "Scummy", to quote someone I played with, for the vulture (a NEUTRAL role) to sus the ducks? It's my understanding a neutral role isnt on the duck team and, even though its win condition is to eat bodies, can either help the ducks, help the geese or try and win
While not fair, it's up to the player how they use the information they have.
I mean, the ducks would kill the vulture at the first chance so I dont see how thats not fair, especially when theres a falcon in the mix too. By its very nature a neutral role serves its own interests.

My thoughts exactly. I think a neutral role in general should be able to play however and to whatever goal they desire. For example, when I'm pigeon I basically play as a second mechanic/snoop without the obligation of doing tasks

Well although there is some nuance and subjectivity to the matter, there is an objective case to be made here regardless of personal opinion. Ducks are a team so its implied they work together, same for geese but with neutral roles there's really no reasonable expectation of any particular way to play it.

I don't mind one or two games where the neutral helps either the geese or ducks (and no, I don't mean they try to play their role, I mean they legitimately help the geese find all killers or help the ducks kill all the geese), but it is very unfun for you if you're the duck and the game has a vulture who keeps reporting all the bodies and instantly outing the closest people as killers. In these situations, you'll have no idea who the vulture is until they've reported 4 or 5 bodies, by which time it's too late to kill them off.
What is fun for one person is not fun for another, wins aren't even considered in this equation

Can we add the reporting function and the microphone blocking function to the private room? It's really bad that you can't choose malicious users only in private rooms.
In private rooms it is the host's responsibility to police the room
I think it might be something they are looking into for client side, it won't auto ban them from your rooms but it could easily mark them on your screen so you could remove them. So far the workaround is just putting their volume down to 0 and not inviting them to your games. But you can't help who others invite to theirs and you can't choose their friends. But yes, reporting is essentially only for public unless its a provable hacking, but then you'd take that to the troubleshooting/bug channel and make a ticket. The #LFG channels are here for convenience of the community and are not required for private games, hence they won't police them. As the game develops though we might gain some QoL improvements, the friends list is one of those.
It's called "Invite Friends" but it's also a disadvantage that it doesn't have a "follow up" function.
Gaggle Crew said they want to add something like "follow up" function but they have to make an option to also turn it off because it could be very annoying when u want to play with ur friends and some person from ur list keeps joining in, or when u are streaming with your Crew and all of sudden some fan from your list joins in.

%feedback I've noticed a lot of people mistake the footsteps sound effect with the ticking of the bomb. These two sound effects are similar enough to sometimes mistake the footsteps for ticking in-game. Could they be made a bit more distinct? Perhaps increase the tempo of the ticking bomb, or make it have a more hollow clock sound?

one problem I notice as a new player is.. I can't find sabotages guide for each stage anywhere. Especially some stage that use icon instead of text, for examples, in GooseChapel, there are poison bottle-like icon, which I know it's related to poison but to whom and where ? and knife icon, which I have to wasted a turn to test it just to found out it was a door lock sabotage
I mean, you do them once and you learn. It's part of the fun.
That said, I have this covered. Eventually I'll release an app that tells players all about the game, sabotages, tasks, the maps, achievements, roles, etc.
However, finding the time to work on it is difficult, so progress is very slow.

I believe so. You can determine if blind ducks are on by the number of ducks it tells you are in game vs how many you see during the role reveal screen / meetings.

Right now, everyone is playing โ for the role they want to come out and โfor the other role. Sometimes, there are so many regular "duck" that don't get caught in any role
If you don't want regular Ducks in a game, you need at least three Duck roles with a check mark โ (in a game with three Ducks)

- to finish the game properly even if some players leave halfway
- Currently, if someone leaves the game before it ends, it resets immediately. Totally nullified all the time the players have put. It makes players embarrassed and lose the focus/interest.
- I heard that some people mistakenly click the [Quit/Exit] instead of [Chat] because they are put close together in the mobile screen.
- to add the reward system
- It will be more enjoyable(and competitive....) if players could get rewards such as coins, achievements and materials.
- to protect players from intentional disturbances
- Some people play music, yell or talk so loud that cardgame players cannot talk to each other. But I think, asking them to be quiet and leave the table only for the cardgame players doesn't actually accord with the purpose of lounge. The real problem is, it hardly works. (Suggestion : How about setting tables in the private rooms where we can use 'Do not disturb'?)
- to fix the bug that doesn't show the duck and one's cards.
- It appears for one player. It's solved only when the player with the bug quits and come back in.
- to add the spectator mode
- Under the condition of no chatting(text and voice) allowed, it won't let waiting people get bored and will help the beginners understand the game more easily if we can see what's going on. Just reading the text manual is not enough to get in right away.

โ means that role has a 50% chance to be chosen for a relevant slot. If you have 3 Ducks in a game, and in the roles you have 2 โ and 3 โ selected, you will have the 2 for sure that were โ and you will have either 1 of the โ roles or a regular Duck.

If I connect my headphone after entering the game, I have to re-select sound input device again everytime. It's not a big deal but it's annoying.

honestly the whole gamechat is glitchy. my mic works perfectly fine on both discord, computer games, and even with my xbox. but this game refuses to work with my mic whatsoever.
There are many potential root causes that may contribute to a microphone not working.
In a private game, please make sure that you are not deafened or muted, and also have the correct input devices selected.
If this does not work, in Windows, open your sound settings, and then the correct devices are set to Default Devices, rather than Communication Devices.
If this does not work, please join the Goose Goose Duck discord and join the #bug-reports channel for additional troubleshooting assistance.

if it could never pick the same player as a role three times in a row, that would not be random
The entire process is random, but it's very human to interpret patterns where there are none. If you had encountered a bug about the role assignment, it would be more likely to be an issue if it the results were absolute - For example, no player ever getting the Assassin in any of their games, or someone 100% of the time getting the Birdwatcher.
Players are also notoriously prone to exaggerate, and might interpret someone getting vampire three games in a row to being ten times in a row.
In short, the role randomization isn't bugged, your brain is bugged.
PS: I was asked to rewrite this and to also up the tone of hostility level from 2/10 to 9/10. Have fun playing GGD!
ive played in lobbies where someone got duck 9 times in a row, in a room with 16 ppl thats not that bizarre.

%feedback when players join a match, they should spawn at random places so hosts know who to kick when they permanently afk without readying up, otherwise they pile up and the host can't know which player specifically is afk (often players just press the ready button and do other things until the game starts, and they might get accidently kicked because of the not ready players being in the same pile)

I'm not sure how it currently is in the game, but would it be possible to make it so you can move the cone vision (lantern mode) when inside a vent? The group i usually play with uses lantern mode to balance the pigeon, but the venting ability feels pretty useless when I can't rotate my vision inside of a vent

I used to play in lobbies where the pigeon / vulture had lowered vision or flashlight mode, it generally results in them being discovered very quickly due to being unable to see who is in a room, venting or not.
We eventually stopped playing with such settings to balance the game better.

I never thought of that before, the only role that I change the vision for is the Dodo, which I set to very dark, but I think that makes it much funnier

Hey, I'm just curious on the best path to report the use of hate symbols & hate speech in display names. On two separate occasions in two days I've been in lobbies where people have chosen to make use of these symbols as their names. I used the report function but there was no further steps, and the person was able to continue using that as their name for that game. I understand that these people are typically trolls, but that symbol is still harmful. Is there actually any way to deal with this or is it only possible to handle if you're in charge of the lobby? Can a filter be added?
I love the game and I have enjoyed playing it with my friends but to have it happen twice in a row (and to sadly see people make excuses for it) is starting to ruin the experience.

Aside of what you've done, the host can also kick players from the lobby. Aside from that, though, I think there's little other recourse at the moment.
We used to roll with the lower vision for pigeon / vulture to balance out their strength since we used to see them win a lot. Lower vision made eating bodies of finding sneeze victims harder...
We ended up eventually simply not turning either role on under 12 players
