If anything, the thing that really killed AU, was the fact that none of the mods worked on mobile or console, and everyone stopped playing unmodded AU forever ago. The fact that all the features are baked into the regular game of GGD, means everyone gets the same experience.

I find the biggest problem with AU mobile, is since typing is slower, people just usually go with the first name thrown out, and don't give anyone a chance to defend themselves. I don't see this being anywhere near the same issue with voice chat.

Yeah voice chat would help a ton but I could still see people just joining lobbies when they're not in a situation to speak and leaving when they have to do something.
This probably won't effect the private lobbies that fill up from discord though so I don't see too much of a problem but the public lobbies might have a few of these kinds of people

The public lobbies have penalties for people leaving games, increasing the amount of time they can join, everytime they leave in the middle.

Start a new room and ensure they are not given the code. It is impossible for them to join your private lobby if nobody gives them the code. If you are playing with streamers, ask that they keep the room code hidden so nobody unwanted can join.

I do keep my code hidden and typically play with a select group or two, but this was a friend of one of the trusted and ended up as a team of three working together with one sniping

If I were in that situation, I would no longer play with anyone involved with that person, and would block them in Discord or in any social media where they may contact me. The game empowers the host to ensure their lobby runs how they want.

We will have an Overwolf SDK exposing specific game hooks. Once we launch that you're more than welcome to create mods for approval.

Until then modifying the code/injecting code is a big no as we are a free to play game and not a sold licensed service like other games.

Imagine asking Riot, or Warframe if it was ok to cheat. You would likely be instantly banned as well.

This itself isn't really an issue with using push to talk, it's usually an issue with people which use microphone/headsets which are of bad quality. It's best to avoid lobbies with users which don't have decent microphones.

Feedback for the vamp/villager game... Renfields (or whatever you call geese killed by vamps) shouldn't be able to spawn new Renfields. The exponential growth of them make it almost impossible for villagers to win. Also, since vamps don't give themselves away when they infect, people are sussing folks around victims when they die, tho the vamp is long gone and only peeps are only near by accident. Unsure how to handle that. The Ren situation would help stretch the game out.

I've actually heard a lot of positive feedback from the game mode, I'd like to hear from the people that don't enjoy it as much, as well. Don't hold back, as long as it's constructive criticism.

My one gripe is that it's not really all that clear about the meetings being triggered by completing a certain number of tasks. It'd be nice if the task bar filled up showing how many tasks needed to call a meeting, and outright said "Tasks till next meeting" or something. There was a lot of confusion in my first few games with it with my friends as a bunch of us didn't understand why the meeting happened. It really took us, like, 3 games to figure out how we were supposed to play

Honestly, it's just the luck of the draw. The roles are randomly assigned, so you're just as likely to get a new role as the same role. But it does make the game more fun when you play with more people, because then you can play with more of the special roles!

random means random. If somebody gets duck 50,000 times in a row, its still random, the system chose them at random. It may have been a lot in a row, but it was still random

Theres also True random, which is closer to actually random than standard random algorithms, as it uses live weather data and anomalies as seed. Its still random either way.

Well, I have a question / concern. I would like to know why it is not possible to select the 'death stinger' meme called 'teamwork' on the Mallard Manor map. And to say that I was unaware that death stingers are not all available on all maps, so I would like to have known this peculiarity before crafting the teamwork.

Hey, the game should prevent people from talking during the voted out screen. The other day we had someone screaming racist slurs at that time and we couldn’t figure out who because the game doesn’t show who’s talking on that screen.

As a trade-off, maybe there could be an effect where only the person voted off could talk on that screen but the game would fade out their volume so they could be like “IT WASN’T MEEEEEeeeeeee…”

One suggestion I think would be good for the game is to change the "kill the falcon" message that appears during falcon hunt so that it only appears to roles that can kill. Roles that can't kill get a different message like "Finish your tasks" or something similar. There is a lot of confusion about normal geese being able to kill when they can't.

Generally we fix things so fast that we rarely let a bug thats not "latency" related last more than a patch

so we're just gunning down bug fixes as they come up.

Taking time to log specific changes and logs to minor patches is very time consuming, would rather have the team just fixing more things or creating more content.

Apparently is also prevents us from reporting users who violate Discords ToS regarding nudity and other prohibited content. This is not something we will allow on our server.

What's the range on bodyguard goose? Seems like unless you're standing directly on top of your target, the hitman duck can kill them from far away anyway.
I've seen this a few times as hitman, target and bodyguard. Seems a bit unfair when you get gravy goose and your whole "ability" is survivability, yet you die 20 seconds into the match several games in a row to the hitman duck, despite your bodyguard basically holding your hand

Just a speaker icon to switch to phone speaker be helpful just as a normal phone call would have since it is being ran as a phone call.

I believe certain tasks have a percentage chance to give materials. Certain materials can only be earned from specific tasks. There's no set amount of times for you to do a task before getting a component drop. I've gone an entire night without getting Goosonium, then another night I've gotten 3 or 4.

Several nights in a row ive been in multiple lobbies with a good group and 2 kids keep joining, and chanting extremely racist crap and leaving before they can get banned from the game. When the lobby gets posted in LFG again, they rejoin under new names, dont speak until meetings and do it again. They do it over and over again until they ruin the lobbies. They make themselves unbannable from lobbies and have been doing this in streamer lobbies as well. I would not be posting here if this wasnt excessive and ruining the game for a lot of people.

so, worst case scenario - 16 ppl at the same room, maybe someone can escape if they're lucky of spawning infront of the doors

I think people can make their own judgement on whether they want to participate in someone’s lobby. If you don’t want to join a particular persons lobby that is definitely within your rights. But as the devs have said, private lobbies are run by their host. The host makes the rules. If your not happy with how things are in that lobby then you are more than welcome to not join it :). Trust me, I’ve had my share of toxic lobbies. I excuse myself and don’t rejoin 🙂 I understand what you’re trying to suggest but as Colfie said, the mods and developers have been quite clear about this :). Hope you find some better lobbies 🙂

Private lobby codes are private unless shared. By posting in the lfg channels your opening up your private lobby to the public, but essentially it’s a private lobby and the host of that lobby is in charge of moderating/kicking/etc. Basically, your lobby, your rules 🙂 💜 I think the crew at gaggle has done a great job giving players options to drown out the bad apples that may ruin their game. Is it going to be 100% perfect? No. But that’s unfortunately human nature and there will always be toxic people who take things a bit too seriously. Essentially when I run across them I either kick them if it’s my lobby or I find another lobby to play in 💜 Thanks again to the amazing devs for the amazing game

So, something that kinda stands out to me: Environmental kills ducks can do from beyond the grave. Ejecting geese out the airlock in mother goose and nexus, or dropping the chandelier in Mallard Manor is fun. It takes a lot of the bite out of getting killed early as a duck because a dead duck can still feel like they are doing something other than waiting around for the game to end and calling a sab every minute or so. These are fun mechanics for me. The fact that they exist also changes the way geese need to play because they have to be aware of ducks potentially doing this to them. I've found myself taking the long way in Mallard Manor just to avoid the possibility of someone dropping a chandelier on me. I've also had games as duck where dropping the chandelier just to prevent geese from using that path was a great play. Map manipulation! Changing the pathing!

I'd love to see similar mechanics on future maps. Just some way the ghost of a duck can either kill via very specific environmental kills, or otherwise mess with the map dynamics.

honestly this game is better than amogus. It has a lot of roles and different modes of the game which makes it more fun and entertaining unlike a repetitive process in amogus. As a player coming from among us, it is easier to remember the map names because they are identical but different names. The audio used is not very much annoying unlike valorant beginning sound. The graphics is well-drawn. This is the most underrated game simlarly to overrated amogus therefore, goose goose duck supremacy.

I just want to say how much I love this game. I’ve played hundreds of hours this point and it has strengthened or created so many friendships for me along the way. I work with developers professionally so I think I have a little insight into the work that goes into developing this. Thus I respect the hustle of the Gaggle team so much to get new features out to the community so quickly, solicit so much open feedback, and give us these peeks behind the curtain. But my favorite thing about GGD is how literally every round is unique and different. The replayability coupled with the social aspect of the game is just 🔥

Yeah I suppose its a bit different, I just did GC and was fine. Hit every ant. Went back to nexus and it took my brain a few more hits to re-calibrate because the shape is different.

The boxes are in a slightly different position because of the object you're using to smash them

In any case it's more of a adjustment rather than a difficulty thing. I was more used to the newspaper so I never noticed until I went back to nexus.

I wouldn't exactly call this "harder" than the one in Nexus.

People say GGD is a Among Us Rip Off but if that is the case then almost every social deduction game is a rip off with the only one not being one is the original one, and TBH GGD and Among Us probably will bounce off idea’s in the feature. The first game in any genre is great when it comes out but in time is invariably eclipsed by newer and more refined games that recycle at least some of the major elements of the original. This is the cycle of video games.

IMO they have a very different style of social deduction

amogus is more action based: you were at x, y went into the vent, z went to cafe when the lights were off
its a very concentrated dose of social deduction, best played with friends who you know their techniques.

Goose Goose Duck (classic +), is more role based: the sabo came from x, y vented but i checked they haven't killed at all, z was the Canadian and you killed him
while these inclusions drown out some techniques that are game changers in among us, they add entirely new ones. it lends to a more chaotic feel. The Assassin is my favorite role because of the "Oh S***" moment it provides, and how it makes everyone hesitant to claim their role, a surefire way to deflect suspicion other wise.

While they have the same base idea and mechanics, the inclusion of so many roles shifts the focus and feel of the game.

I inquired about this earlier, and they told me they have no plans to change the spawn rate of lover duck/goose vs goose/goose. I get it and I understand why, but I do kind of wish the rate was slightly higher, or that there was a custom mode that could guarantee that if there were lovers, that one of them would be a guaranteed duck. More of a reason for lovers to not admit their role, and some risk at splitting up on the map.

Ducks are generally a lot fewer than geese, so going by that alone the duck/ geese lovers are rare. Even more so if you check off for all the duck roles etc. If you want the duck/ geese lovers more, be careful to leave just enough roles to make it possible

Could Politician's role description be worded less ambiguously? It's difficult to understand what the role is. If politician votes for A and A and B tie, is A voted out? Or if Politician gets 2 votes and A gets 2 votes, A gets voted out?

As I understand it, it's more the latter. I think moving it to the former (eg. Politician has 1.5 votes, so edges out a vote if tied) would be more interesting. As is, I haven't seen much from the politician role (not to say it hasn't happened).

One feedback I should've given earlier is that occasionally, I find it hard to read the name if it's in red. Not sure if that's a penalty against the ducks, but some names in the font with the colour makes it difficult.

Yes every time I put the object down, the rest of the game is pretty quiet because of my settings but that task won't follow the settings and is loud no matter what when I place them.

As per the whole game. This has been good so far. One thing, is that the during the role reveal on Mallard Manor, it says Mechanic Goose, where it's supposed to be a Snoop Goose lol

The whole mechanic/snoop goose files seem scrambled. I was a snoop goose on Blackswan, Goosechapel mentions vents instead of sewers. Far as I can tell, the mechanics are fine, but the descriptions are all scrambled. A minor bug, but a bug nonetheless.

I've got a problem where opening the game automatically puts me into the lowest resolution. To fix this i can select "fullscreen", turn the res up then select it again, but it goes back to low res once i press esc again
