I forget to leave positive feedback. Most of the updates are fantastic
that's great to hear
since it reduces the voting time to 15 seconds, it can't really be used to grief even in extremely short meeting times
It is somewhat annoying when everybody does know who to vote but you have additional information and while typing it so you don't talk over anybody, the voting time ends
But pros/cons, overall its better
The problem is trying to get people to use both chat AND talk in a lobby.
Just got mummy for the first time, and why didn't anyone tell me about the awesome spawn music they have? I was initially expecting the organ tune vampire had, but instead it's this funky middle-eastern tune. I like it.
There are some roles that have a secondary action on the kill button itself and it is incredibly frustrating, for example the cannibal, when you want to kill someone who is on a corpse you can't do it, instead of killing you have to eat. The same with the mummy and the hideouts. Will be nice to have that changed, have preference on kill instead of the reverse for example.
I can agree with that. I've had several occasions when I try to kill someone as Undertaker, only to be dragging a body nearby instead rather than kill the witness.
That seems pretty reasonable. I can't think of many scenarios where there is a body and a living bird together where the Duck would want to use the secondary ability instead of killing the living bird

The only thing that comes to mind is interrupting mortician with cannibal, but even then it would be better just to kill mortician unless you are collabing to get the achievement.

For the whole gimmick to just be swapped so the killing button would overlap the drag body button instead, rather than the other way around.
Specifically for a situation when there's both a body, and a living person next to the undertaker.
I'm under the strong impression that the devs aren't about to add more buttons, for real estate on mobile is tight already. Could probably do it if it was just PC, but replacing the venting button for situational cases is probably the best I could suggest.
I think you might misunderstand me. Apologies if my explanation was poor.
Currently, if there's a living person and a body next to undertaker, the button to pull the body will come up. Which overlaps the usual killing button.
My suggestion is to swap that around. For the Killing button to get priority. So the witness can get killed, rather than the Undertaker getting trapped pulling that body instead.
So, I'm not requesting a button to be added. Just a change to the already existing mechanic.
Essentially, if both a body and a living bird are present, it would be preferential for the Kill button to replace the Eat/Drag button
I have the complaint above from many players; this would be a great change.

I wish draft mode could also adjust roles, number of missions, etc.
In private matches meh, but I dont want the hell of have to find lobbies without idiotic settings again. I stopped completly playing classic because they set minimum tasks, maxim movement speed, dark vision for everyone, etc. The only thing I miss playing draft is lovers role. But the settings are nice, not for noobs but they have classic.

Is there any way to tell if a lobby is 25+ after it's been made and the old host has left? There doesn't seem to be a way to check in the settings.
I also debate if it would be useful to turn that on and off after the room's been made.
Are there any reports of the gravy goose's bouncy ability not working when someone tries to kill them? Just curious...me and one other player have not had any success in having a kill attempt bounce off to a player we're on top/reasonable adjacency, and it has confused a couple other players as well
Occasionally, most are due to latency. If you are able to consistently reproduce a bug, submitting a video of this in a #troubleshooting-and-bug-reports would be handy!
my advice:
Get rid of Astral, Birdwatcher, Esper, Celebrity, Mortician, and Politician or rework them to be fun.

we have some plans on reworking them, but if you dont like them for now, i'd suggest you just disable them

if you want full control of the roles that are in your game, classic mode might be more to your liking
Adding the ability to test roles in tutorial mode so newer players won't be thrown under busses for not knowing. I think mainly duck and neutrals at least.
Celebrity is one of my favorite roles, I hope that doesn't get reworked

If the role gets reworked, it'll be only for balancing sake. I don't know if you remember how it originally worked, but celebrity used to tell the identity to the lobby. Now it just says that they died, which is a bit less powerful. Something along those lines would be the rework.

I think one of teh big things lies with the fact that pretty much everyone wants a killing role, which just isn't feasible

from my own personal POV i'd take esper or politician over sheriff any day of the week
Politician as it is currently, seems to have a 85% chance to not do anything from the games I've played.
And Esper...well. I hardly see anyone using Clairvoyance and Telepathy. So it basicly feels like playing a normal role to me.
I actually genuinely get confused when anyone actually uses Clairvoyance in a rare moment when I see the red dots, because usually nobody ever uses it from what I've seen
But I do respect your opinion on the matter. It's just that these two roles seem to rarely do anything to me.

In my opinion, people don't try hard enough to play certain roles to their full effectiveness. When the celebrity was revised to hide their death, I came up with a very grating strategy by calling a meeting at the start of every game, advertising that I was the celebrity and would be following a certain suspected player.
It was really effective because it hindered their ability to try and kill me in those instances they were someone who could kill. And to prove I was telling the truth I would do it even if there was an assassin!
So depending on one's perspective, it had several side benefits, such as wasting the assassin's shot (so if you think the role is useless, the assassin has one less shot to kill a sheriff/other useful roles), and revealing if the hidden duck was an assassin
That strategy can also be subbed in for the Canadian, depending on if you're okay with being assassinated. Does it make the game fun? Depends on who you're playing with!
Don't forget the notification for the celebrity doesn't show for ducks which helps deduct what each player is. Doesn't happen all the time but it's been a useful tool regardless
Voice chat mid draft is busted, you can confirm your class. If 3 palyers choose ducks, and no one were assassin, you can say you are number x, than at the same time your role. After a while I think on it, and is an easy confirm.
Most people tend to still say what they're not regardless and that information works both ways ie someone says they're sheriff so a duck targets them. You could always do classic and set things your own way if draft bothers you too much.
Then just don't say your number and role? Not to be rude, but I'm a bit confused on what your point is lol

@plucky sierra The best advice I can give, at least at this point, is find a group of players with a similar mindset to yours. Some of us like being able to talk during the draft, and the mind games that can come with it. If you don't like playing with people who confirm their role during draft, find a group that doesn't do that.

With how often people pick assa, I don't see a lot of people claiming what they have drafted without getting blasted.

On trick or treat mode its really annoying playing as the mummy and accidentally venting when trying to kill. Can we change the venting to a different button. I missed out on killing about four geese by accidentally venting lol. I should have paid attention to where I was but missed em every time
It would be really nice if the task list size could be reduced in draft mode. I get that that mode is for less customization, but the "XL" setting is way too long. Makes it very hard to win by tasks, to the point of most people I play with are just discouraged to even bother doing them.
Task wins are the least satisfying. We want to minimize them but they should still be a constant threat. It speeds up the game for everyone.

we were playing today in a draft mode for a couple of hours, and we won through the tasks several times (and obvi, this has frustrated us). one time we didn't even filled the gauge (we had just a half of it), but still have won by the tasks ๐ฉ
we were trying to make the task list much longer but it turned out we've already have a max size by default ๐ข
the tasks are great: just not when you win in the first or the second round by completing them
That usually means the ducks are waiting too long to kill
well, for me it seems kinda random tbh. like in one game ducks can not make a kill for minutes, just handing out, and nothing happens. and in the other game we have almost just started โ and yet we've already won
in a classic mode the longest list is usually the key, but in the draft it... it just seems really random
and since those fast wins have happened not one, not two and even not three times, I'm not even sure if it supposed to be so fast or we were just lucky to have some juicy yummy bugs
its just a multiplier based on the number of players
if you had 4 geese out of 4 geese all doing their tasks its going to seem a lot shorter than if you had 4 geese out of 12 geese doing their tasks
Iโm sure someoneโs asked this before so Iโm sorry, but really curious why pelican is basement only, itโs me and my groups favorite role and it seems like such a shame to leave it locked in the basement!
It would be good if we could have a block/ban list that isn't just for an individual game, in case people you would not want in a lobby try to join yours, or something like that.
A few reasons:
- The more horror theme of the basement is the most fitting for the pelican, with people disappearing for seemingly no reason.
- The basement is the only map that was designed with the pelican in mind. Things would get very odd if a stuffed pelican was airlocked on mothergoose or crushed by a boulder on Jungle Temple. As of now there is only one other map that could hold a pelican, that being Goosechapel.
- With the maps that came before basement, if we introduced pelican, what do we do with falcon and vulture? The only thing that comes to mind is a toggle to switch between allowing the falcon/vulture and allowing the pelican. However, this would not really be worth implementing if the only other map able to utilize the pelican is Goosechapel.

Point 2 is a really good one I suppose, with the boulder or chandeler or whatever the eaten people could just teleport to the nearest safe zone, but the airlock is a tricky one
although with how rare an airlock kill is, perhaps it wouldnt be the worse if everyone inside the pelican died

Although Ancient Sands will be the falcon's domain, there likely will be maps in the future that the pelican can turn into a buffet.

In the present situation, Gravy is doing too well. One of the jobs that ducks can't win with goose Canadians and celebrities (we call it a notification job). Gravy is not the target of the assassin's gun, so it means the so-called 'definite goose'. As a result, other geese are connected to gravy, sharing jobs with each other and connecting together. The duck has to hire at least two people to catch the goose connected to gravy together. Of course, pigeons and demolition teams can remove the connection for the time being, but it is true that it is really difficult for ducks to win if gravy, Canadians, and celebrities are all activated.
Therefore, there are two personal changes.

Change the gravy to neutral. If you survive until the end of the game, you win. After the first meeting, the ducks can know that you are Gravy.

If kill motion occurs around you while you and other players overlap, you must remove the ability to prioritize other objects.
Celebrity is too annoying when people ask what round they died in or how long ago in the round they died. Why donโt ducks and neutrals see when celebrities die? Their ability to give a timestamp for their death works even if the ducks know.
Having ducks/neutrals also know when the celebrity is dead takes away all of the strategies the geese can use with it.
I prefer to ask people "did you see that?" at random and if they say yes, I ask what they saw because I didn't see it
perhaps find a way to clarify general is an english only channel in the bot message for people who don't understand. like, "sorry, for moderation purposes this channel is english only. if you're looking for a group to play with in your local language, go to lfg language
or rename the text channel to general-english
It clears everyone in the immediate area of that kill and lets everyone know to look for a body, so it shouldnโt take away even half the strategies
No, most of the strategies the geese use with celebrity are to try and catch ducks with weather theyโre dead or not.
Although I will note it goes both ways. Nothingโs stopping you from (as a duck), asking if the celebrity is dead to a goose youโre accusing to learn it 
The moment someone truthfully mentions the celebrity being dead/alive is the moment it loses all itโs power
And if you are dodo and are struggling to make yourself sus; if someone isn't answering the question, you can butt in and take the 50/50 guess yourself.
Though I find people usually ask this if celeb has already died. So I find more success by saying celeb is still alive as dodo.
Like this, celebrities seem to have the most balance among current notification jobs. The job that gives ducks great emptiness and difficulty in the current situation is Gravy, a Canadian.
Canadians, in particular, inform a small number of people at first by revealing their jobs, and when someone kills me, "It's Canadian" attempts to vote for whatever reason creates an atmosphere that doesn't listen to the argument. The early reported round could only attempt to speculate on the possibility of killing Canadians at the time of the talks, which could disrupt the direction of the talks.
Due to this problem, there is also a room in which most of us adopt only one of Gravy, Canadians, celebrities, or take them all out.
there are a few roles that counter canadian, professional doesn't have to worry about them, assassin can kill them in a meeting, cannibal can eat the body before it reports, ninja can kill two people and when the canadian report goes off say you found what looks like a sheriff kill

That's a good counter method. But ninjas only come out of the jungle and have to double kill. (Unfortunately, there are very few rooms to play in the jungle, SAD.) Cannibals need friendly ducks. A professional is the best way to do it, and, of course, all premises can be implemented if the duck knows who the Canadian is. If you know it, you can call him before the bell, kill him, and ring the bell within a second.
I think the demolition team is really good, too! With Gravy revealing his job and becoming a 'definite goose', the geese will stick together with the guaranteed identity of Gravy every day. The same goes for Canadians, and the self-reporting ability and the removal of numerous links are largely due to the weight of the demolition team, so we usually play games with the assassin and the demolition team checked
Ninja does not have to double kill. They can kill a single target, even if it is inefficient.
Yes, I know. But as mentioned above, among the ways to fight against Canadians, ninjas have to do double kill because they want to look like the wrong killing of a sheriff.
Add to that, cannibals can be eaten 3 seconds after they've been killed, so they need to be in charge of clearing up what their fellow ducks have killed So cannibals need fellow ducks to fight against Canadians.

For what it's worth, sometimes if I've killed the Canadian, and I see there is more then one death in the round I will just claim it was a sheriff fail.
Who is going to be able to confirm there were two bodies?
Unless a Goose killed the other body/bodies, or the Sheriff is still alive, you can usually get away with it.
If there is a known professional Duck, I'll sometimes claim I was trying to report a single body and the body I reported was not the one I was trying to report, so it sounds like a double kill by professional and another duck.

I like that way of doing it, not having too many geese who get a duck out when they die.
I also donโt like it when ducks make up 1/3 of the killing roles, 2 ducks vs all three killing geese and a killing neutral. But all the rooms I join seem to do draft, and we canโt edit those settings.

Any chance you guys will make the night vision goggles a bit easier to achieve? As it is now, you must use Spy's ability 500 times and then you're required to pay 100 gold coins to unlock the hat. I haven't done the math, but I rarely have the chance to spy on more than 5 geese in one day. And that's when I'm lucky. This achievement will likely take months of time, and then I still have to pay the hat I grinded for? That seems a bit unfair
One problem I see with that is server advertisement. When you're looking for a game on a certain map/gamemode, sometimes you just want to stay on that map. That's how I am personally. It would confuse a lot of people if they joined a lobby and suddenly it's not the game mode or map that it showed in the server list

The update that included the goggles included a lot of cosmetics that no player currently owns, and even after some time will probably only ever be owned by .01% or .001% of the player base, or less. There are lots of good cosmetics that can be earned for free by just playing the game.
there are lots of cosmetics that I don't like, as well. The goggles are one of the coolest items out there, yet it's locked behind an insanely huge grind and pay wall. "Having other cosmetics that are easier to get" is not an excuse for defending the design choice behind the goggle's achievement. Let's do the math. If you're lucky (and not playing a lobby dedicated to getting the achievement) you'll probably spy on, let's be generous and say 6 people per day. It would take almost 3 full months to unlock the opportunity to PAY for this cosmetic option. I wouldn't have a problem with it if you would automatically unlock it for simply playing the game, but when you combine grinding WITH an additional real-world dollar expense, is it really worth it? Imagine working 3 months to get a hat in real life, and then still having to spend money on it as well. Granted, the devs need funding, but this just feels like an underhanded and manipulative way of doing it. It's like "oh yeah, look, you finally unlocked this cool cosmetic after months of playing. But oh wait, you don't have enough gold coins to buy WHAT YOU ALREADY EARNED. Whoopsie, guess you'll have to buy a gold pack". It's an unacceptable business practice in literally any other field, but since it's a video game it gets a free pass.
overall GGD is a great game as far as UI, interactivity, balancing, gameplay, etc., but this hat just seems like overkill (not to mention the many other cosmetics that are overpriced, as they are extremely simple yet take tens of hours to unlock)
I guess the main point of it all is to create excitement from rarity. Like, x hat is something I've never seen anyone wear, I wanna be one of the few lucky people who do, or similar emotions like that. And I get that.
If all the cosmetics were easy to unlock / earn, I know I at least, would feel very unrewarded after say 6months when I haven't unlocked anything in 5 months because I unlocked everything already.

I am slow on the draw today
I mean even I agree there are some pretty ridiculous achievements in this game, but like Duck Side was saying, they're figuring for the lifetime of the game for 99.999% of players. Some players already have thousands of hours in and will put in thousands more. The devs plan to keep the game going for years to come. To my understanding, the main additional achievements moving forward are going to be those related to new maps, new roles, new game modes, etc. I thought several of the original locked cosmetics were completely unobtainable, but I did get them eventually, and there is a real satisfaction in reaching long-term goals like that (even in a video game). Having them cost gold is a debatable point, but also if you've played for that long, it is entirely possible to have gotten enough gold through Daily Rewards (and, to my understanding, they are going to be adding another free way to earn gold before year end as well). And, like you said, most games have cosmetics that a very small percentage of players own. It just is a thing in video games, and overall I would say GGD has relatively good options that you can get without spending money in the shop. Some cosmetics are just the devs way of saying "thank you for playing for way more hours than the average player."
I think we have 1-2 players over level 600. I've seen a few in the high 500s.
This is the same thing that everyone does with battle passes except they are even more egregious. You have to pay to get the right to unlock it and then you still need to grind it out. Except the difference is most games with battle passes you have already paid a license fee for and in addition they take away the battle pass from you. So you sometimes might pay for the right to unlock an opportunity to earn something and still never get it. We don't believe in that. It's a matter of perspective.
Our game is also 100% free, unlike EVERY OTHER social deception game on steam which asks you to pay $5 or significantly more just for the right to try their game. It's really unfair to a studio that pours 100% of all revenues back into the game for content to assume we're "milking" our players. That's how we keep cranking out new content and features. Also, we have to pay for the servers.
If you think it's greed, I hate to inform you > it's not. We strategically do this to give our dedicated paying players more than just dedicated or just paying players. It's a necessary thing to reward our most loyal fans.
Grinding for the 75 wins as a role achievements are my favourite so far. Celeb currently has the most but serial kill has been climbing fast since it got released.
I have yet to earn gold through daily rewards despite playing the game for months, so I can't vouch for the idea that the grind will pay for itself
Firstly, battle passes I agree are worse. And yes, you do have to pay for servers. It's a free to play game so it's pretty lucky for players that lootboxes aren't a thing. I get it. I also don't mind paying for cosmetics things in games I enjoy playing. My only problem is that you have to do two things that drain (time and money, hence the long grind and then paying for the cosmetic). I'm not saying you guys are "milking" the players. In fact I never used that word. It's merely unfortunate that after being rewarded with a cool item for playing the game for so long, you're still required to pay for it. I suppose that's one way of ensuring steady income. Make sure that players at every level increment and achievement get some new cosmetic, with some locked with real world money. If there's a cosmetic tied to an achievement, don't you think the achievement itself should count as you owning the thing you grinded for? That's my perspective anyway

We absolutely do that. We have three different types of players that we need to cater to. Paid and dedicated, dedicated and F2P, and paid and but dedicated. We need to reward each differently.

For those who play GGD and stream the game via mobile devices, will there ever be a fix for sound loss where a person's chat can't hear anything the streamer says during gameplay, and while waiting in the lobby?
That's likely something that would need to be fixed with the streaming software or the phone platform, as most mobile devices don't seem to like sharing control of the microphone. You will likely have either GGD using your mic OR your streaming app using the mic, not both.

Conversations that go on in public games are still private, and we do not have access to the audio in any way. You can block or mute the relevant players in-game and use the in-game censoring filter. You can report the offending player as well, and these reports will be attached to their account, and may result in bans. If you are the lobby host, you can kick the offending players, and if you are not the host you can ask the host to kick them. Players who are kicked will not be able to rejoin the game unless permitted back in by the host. If the player in question is the host, and a sufficient number of players block their mics, they will be kicked from the game, and once again that will be reflected on their account.

I'm happy to see an influx in players of various nationalities and languages, but it also makes me wish it was easier for people to be placed in lobbies where they can understand their fellow birds. In public lobbies, it is quite common for people who can't speak the lobby's tagged language. Is there any way this can be alleviated, besides simply letting the host kick 2 people every several seconds because they can't communicate?
I think a really nice feature for classic would be a checkbox for dynamic killer/nuetral count that would scale to your lobby size the amount of killers the same way it does in draft.
I do second this. The number of times the host just starts a 16 player game and ignore the 5 people saying that ducks and neutrals are still set to 1 each.
When a lobby is created, there should be a language associated with it, at least for public lobbies. If players don't pay attention when joining a lobby that way, I'm not certain what else can be done.
As for private lobbies, the host is usually in control of who gets invited to those.
There already is, people just sometimes don't pay attention to it or if there are no lobbies opem for their language.
If there's no lobbies open in their language, they can always create one. But as I said, nothing to be done about them ignoring the language restriction when they join short of the host constantly kicking them before the game starts.
The only thing I can think of to deal with this is make it so you can only see lobbies that match the language you set your game to, but I wouldn't like that since I often set my game language to one that I am learning for the practice, while still playing with english speakers.
Would also be limiting to the bilingual audience in general.
Could always make it one of those fancy extra options where you can enable/disable only seeing lobbies that have your specific language

It's sad that need everyone to buy early access to the new Ancient Sands map. I had bought the map, but currently I had about 10~12 friends to play this game, it's hard to make all of the people buy itโฆ
If private room player can share the map with their friend, I think it may get more people want to buy it. Itโs acceptable with more expensive price for it.

I'm a little mixed on how I feel about the new arcade
On one hand: I think it's a good addition that helps you be able to spend each type of token without needing X amount of the others. I also enjoy how the way they're priced means that you're not being charged for every time you play them, making them a lot less predatory than normal loot-boxes (even if that's a low bar)
On the other hand: It feels really annoying to see that more than half of them are locked behind fairly large pay walls (costing $35 just to unlock them all, and you still have to grind for the tokens).
To go even further, I now can't see how many tokens/materials I have outside of the games where they apply, and the games that need to be bought with gold show my gold amount instead of my token amount (so I don't know if the material I had at those levels have been carried over). This means that (if they were carried over), the use of over half of my crafting materials have been put behind a $35 paywall. While the old crafting system was clunkier, it was also fair with it's clunk: It effectively let you buy things without gold if you've been playing for long enough. While I might have not been able to craft anything (mainly due to never getting any purple gears), at least I was building to being able to craft something. This new update has effectively locked all of my progress with the higher 3 tokens behind a paywall.
A way that this could be resolved (at least in my opinion) is to be able to see how many tokens you have in the customization menu, and be able to exchange tokens down a level from there (ie: trading x gold for y greens, y greens for z purple, etc)
This would at least make my progress beforehand be able to be truly carried over, instead of needing to spend gold to be able to use them
I do agree with being able to turn gold tokens into purple and purple into blues and so on.
I bought all the tiers of arcade machines. I spent ~500 hours played of crafting materials I had never really used in the past stored through it and still didn't get the headpiece I wanted. I understand random chance and the claw machine but for how hard it is to get gold crafting materials it seems like it's going to take a while to unlock everything. Also I think my biggest complaint would be that getting the white tokens is extremely disappointing from the gold machine when you don't actually own all of the items in the gold machine. It makes sense for it to wraparound if you do own all of the items but it really shouldn't trigger beforehand. I had I think ~1/3 of my gold pulls turn into white tokens without unlocking the headpieces yet. Also It would probably benefit you guys to sell 2 Gold Claw tokens for ~80 gold coins maybe. I'm the type of psycho that would want to unlock everything right away

The probability of that only goes up after you unlock more items. The chance of getting any specific unlockable never changes though.
If something is 1 in 100 it stays that way.

We can look into changing up some of the tokens but we've seen people with 1000hrs or more already clear out 95% of the machine.

I do like that idea. It probably won't happen but perhaps there could be some kind of prize counter where you trade tokens for prizes. In practice it is the crafting mechanic again. So either you can trade more tokens for a guarenteed prize that you want, or you can gamble and spend a few tokens for a random prize.
I know that I had 33 gold tokens and won a few extra from the purple machine (5 I think) and the machine had 20 items, now has 10 which, given that it costs 2 tokens to play, is greater than 50% odds to get a new item instead of gold, silver or other tokens
It's just human nature to spot patterns where there are none

Will we ever be getting ability achievements for the newer roles? It just feels weird there aren't when most other roles do. Some ideas r killing n amount of targets (for serial), killing n amount of ppl w locusts (for warlock), and lockpicking n amount of times (one in general like picking up key achievement and one for street urchin?). Can't think of any achievement for tracker goose tho.
I think for serial killer, it might be easier to track something like "get your cooldown under 15 seconds".

They can track when ninja double kills tho n the game can tell when u got a target for the kill cooldown, so i feel like its possible to track? I feel like getting cooldown to the lowest of 6s seems more like a 1 time kinda achievement, or it could b a couple of times

I do think there should be more achievements regarding the role's power. Obsessed: kill the target 4 times in a match as serial killer. The 5th plague: get a kill with locusts as warlock. How are you still hungry?: digest 4 people in a single meeting as pelican.
I could see an achievement for summoning the mummy say 100 times, but not for getting kills with the mummy sab, since its not really controlled by a player
A pigeon, engineer or Mimic can also just loop the mummy forever near a forbidden passageway

I'm always down for more achievements. It's something we're discussing. Priority has been getting new content, so the base achievements for roles are easy to format. I'm sure we'll add more unique ones in the future. I'm working on some ideas.
It also wouldnt be bad to make machines free on Christmas, there are some people that spent 1000 hours + grinding those materials and now they cannot use em, but thats up to Devs, I understand they gotta run the game somehow.
In my opinion, it would make more sense for the option to switch hosts to be in the table with all the other lobby settings.
I find that some people get confused on how to switch hosts, since it's the one option that's in the Players list rather than on said table.
I just farmed all morning for crafting materials doing tasks for 3 hours straight I was lucky enough to get enough materials for one pull on the blue machine because I had won ~9 tokens from green. Naturally I got 1 gold coin from the blue machine. I paid 100 gold coins to basically get my crafting materials destroyed into 1 penny of what I paid. That actually does feel a lot like a lootcrate loss from csgo but you have to spend ~4-8 hours to get those materials on top of your money. I really just wish I could have the one item I want from there. I'm also worried I burned all my materials and won't be able to collect the seasonal items but I'll be doing tasks til my hands go numb to try to get what I paid for. Normally prefer talking to others to doing tasks so theres really no way to grind crafting materials by playing outside of completing tasks. Maybe a random drop chance at the end of games. Also It really should show you how many crafting materials you have before you purchase the machine. I purchased the 250g machine for my wife's account and she didn't even have any tokens for it.

Didn't think of the as gold farms but then again especially once the low tiers get spent up you get a better chance of earning gold so they really do add up in the long run. Guess that's also a big benefit of the new system so nobody gets stuck with like 400 useless grey gears left twiddling their thumbs for a new limited craft item.

I noticed in a couple AS games that ppl can't seem to read the text of the names of places that well, so mayb changing the color, making it bigger, or putting a bolder border would help? Compared to other maps, the color is a bit bright for the white text.
I think allowing the player to unlock, use, and fix sabotages in freeplay/explore mode would be nice for new players to learn how they work before their first duck game, and any player trying out a new map.
I've scrolled up a bit in this channel but not all the way so I'm not sure if this has been mentioned already. The fire sabo on ancient sands seems far too powerful in its current state. In 50+ games I've only seen it successfully fixed 3 or 4 times. If too many people are dead it feels like an auto loss the moment it's called. Perhaps an increase on the amount of time to put it out and/or making doors not callable during fire like with the bell sabo on basement could be explored?
Are you meaning on AS specifically? Haven't seen a problem with it on the other maps

From the little I've seen, it is a bit harder to put out the fire when you have to get the bucket instead of just going to an extinguisher. Whether that is the main problem or not, we'll see.
I think it's mostly an experience issue. All the previous fire sabotages were fixed just by going to the location and putting it out with an extinguisher

The problem I notice with the fire on AS is the sheer amount of action and cooperation needed. Each non-duck player needs to successfully use 1-2 buckets of water for the fire to go out. You'll have to see once there are public lobbies, but I can only imagine the issue being worse in public lobbies. If the ducks are smart enough to not kill players during fire, that timer disappears fast.
I thought it was only 3 buckets, like other sabotages
But it's 3 per fire, and I've seen 3 fires with half the lobby dead, I'm pretty sure
There just hasn't been another sabotage requiring this amount of commitment to fix
The developers will probably be monitoring it (part of why its early access) but I can say I've never seen a single win to the fire
That fascinates me. I've seen more wins off of it than times I've seen it fixed. It has been interrupted by bodies quite a few times, though. But that could be our group dynamic, who knows.

We have plans to introduce a seasonal machine in there in the future. We haven't spoken too much on how it will work, and it's still subject to change, but the current idea is it will be active for a certain amount of time (likely 30-60+ days). After purchasing it you will be able to play the machine, and every pull is a guaranteed limited available cosmetic. There will be no getting any other currency if you still have cosmetics in that machine. Our current thought process is seasonal tokens may drop for it, so you don't have to feel the need to horde all your current tokens to keep up. We want to make it easily accessible, and easy to empty that machine if you purchase it, as it is limited.
We have a number of other things we are working on, so that machine isn't a top priority at the moment. We want to add a bit of polish to some of the current systems.
As a user who loves Goose Duck, after experiencing numerous editions, I have several questions and leave a message.

I may be misunderstanding your number 2 question, but if the bomb hasn't started ticking, the system counts it as if it hasn't been handed off. As the bomber, it's frustrated me a couple times of not successfully passing off a bomb.

I wanted to agree with this one....I think the geese have only managed to put out 2 fires once when I was playing and that was with a full lobby. It's like having 2 god sabos going off at the same time and feels just impossible!

The astral for me is kinda like the avenger: its less likely to end up being used, but when it does itโs also less likely to misfire than other roles

It was a quick update we were able to throw into a PC update, it will be coming to mobile in a future update
@warped lance I was using the Astral ability once, and I saw the morphling change. (It was just gray to white, but still enough of a sign.) I went down to see who it was and caught who the morphling was and called a meeting. They weren't voted out, but that's just the lobby, not the fault of the Astral.
Now Tracker, I have yet to find usable information from. Of course, that's because the one time I had the role, people reported bodies before the sandstorm stirred up.
The most useful thing I can think up is to catch someone in a lie, but why lie about your location at the start of the sandstorm?
One useful use is "how likely is it that I will die if I stay outside". Another is "okay 2 of the 5 living players are also outside, if I go in the pyramind and a body is found there, then all 3 of us are clear and it has to be the last guy.

But I wasn't Birdwatcher, I was Astral. The point isn't that Birdwatcher does it better, but that it does still work.
The document of โRolesโ say that they donโt want a role to be just a better version of another, so I think that it does matter.
For me, Astral is most useful to spy on who is doing tasks versus who is not. Fly into a room and check on the person you just left, or if you see somebody pass you in a room full of people, fly around and see what they do in the next room, maybe they're heading to that sabotage task or maybe they'll walk through the fog while they think nobody is around.
Or if you know where people tend to have private conversations, you can choose to send your spirit there
Serial Killer should probably not be able to target Canadian, its an auto lose for them at that point the last 5 rounds we had
Hitman can target Canadian too. Unfortunately, it's just part of the role.
It's also not an autolose. First off, you don't have to kill on cooldown; that can help people think someone else did it. Second, if there's a professional, you can try and blame it on them so long as their cooldown is up. Third, distract people enough that they don't vote you out and use the faster cooldown to slaughter before they can call another meeting.
Add the ability to control roles given in Draft. I usually only play with 5-6 players and some roles are very suppressive in those lobbies.
Draft is definitely designed for a full or nearly full lobby. If you want better balance, I would suggest Classic.
Well it's a party game based around just having fun, no? We do not enjoy classic at all. More editing features is only ever a bonus.

Classic is indeed the mode designed for chill fun. Draft was designed with a more competitive edge in mind for those who wanted a more serious game. It also just happens to get used by players who want choices with their role, but that was never the intention in its design
Lobby host could always set their own "house rule" that everyone agrees not to pick certain roles
One change that Serial Killer could potentially have to change the 'Target canadian' problem, is for their target to change after every meeting.
I don't particularly need that myself, but it's at least an option to consider.
That way, they would at least not be stuck being like "I can't kill my target since they're canadian"
unless they're good at smooth talking their way out of it
Would also prevent people like engineer and pigeon from just hiding forever so they can't get the kill

Yeah, that's one of the few issues with it. Along with Engineer hiding forever, or having Canadian be your target.
I think having a new target after each meeting would rectify this. If you know the Canadian's your target, you can just not kill them or simply kill someone else that round.
Same with a target that keeps hiding from you.

Well, a ninja can still double kill any two people whenever. Serial Killer doesn't have that luxury with someone that continues to hide all game

It is more beneficial for the Ducks to make a kill, even if it results in a slightly higher cooldown, rather than just waiting doing nothing
People get caught up in the mindset that they HAVE to kill the target, resulting in misplay
The target hiding forever cripples the Serial Killer's ability to play their role properly, though.
I know they can kill anyone they want, despite getting longer cooldown for it.
I still love the role as a whole, don't get me wrong. But I can understand that there's some frustrations with being hard locked on the same target.
It is in this way a Pigeoneer can suspect a person who knows they're in a hiding spot of being Serial in cases where nobody has seen them enter said hiding spot, when someone's in front of it begging for them to get out.
If you have proxy on, you could let your buddies know your target is pigeon, and then if assassin is on, they can take care of the problem.

Honesty, Bounty Hunter in TOR is better than SK in GDD.
Opinions aside, I would like this see a potential switch of targets every round, but that would make SK a bit more powerful if anything. Maybe every 2 to 3 rounds, the target changes if that target has not been killed just to not guarantee a SK kill every round? In any case, with its current build, it works fine. You can easily say to your partners that my target is a venter, and can potentially kill them in and out of meetings. You can even simply turn off the venter roles if the hosts wants to and if these things keep happening, which admittedly, I personally donโt like that solution of balancing the mode with optional roles, but it is what it is.

usually when someone refers to the power level of a role in GGD relative to one in a modded among us, I think it lacks the surrounding context of balance
and it doesn't really make so much sense to compare them directly
like saying that rock in RPS is pretty strong, but not as strong as the thimble in monopoly
I'm not even hard pushing SK to be changed. I think it's a great role as it is.
But the fact still stands that Serial Killer's whole shtick gets halted entirely, if they get unlucky enough to get someone who hides forever.
Which, worst case, could be for the entire game if they get Pigeon or Engineer as their target on round one.
And also if the target is Canadian. They have to kill them too to progress their ability, and knowing the target's Canadian just gives you the same issue.
Anyways, I didn't mean to diss on the role whatsoever. But it's just my observation on it right now.

I killed my target (engineer, he would come out of hiding occasionally) in front of 4 other people last night and yelled "Finally!"
I did it mostly because everyone was grouping so I wanted to just progress the game and make it fun.

Initially the mortician was going to be instant, but they decided to do it differently.
By instant, I mean you would eat the body and taste their role.

Herbird still likes the idea of a mortician eating the body to analyze it, but to my knowledge there's no actual plan to currently change it.

Players who get kicked will not be able to rejoin the game unless permitted back in by the host. If the player in question is the host themselves, you and everyone else bothered by their behavior should leave and form a lobby of like-minded individuals, with your own agreed upon rules. If no one else in the game agrees with you, you probably shouldn't be playing in that lobby anyways.

No, but if you've kicked them from your lobby, they are unable to rejoin that same lobby code unless you pardon them. Best bet if you encounter similar situations in a public game, be sure to report them in-game before kicking them.

I joined the game (love it) and am playing with avid modded among us players. We generally use discord for VC. I play mobile, on iPhone. My headphones work for that. I connect to this game and discord VC cuts out due to in game VC.
My problem: I cannot get my microphone to pick up. I can hear everyone, but cannot be heard. Iโve tried adjusting the in game settings, phone settings, using different headphonesโฆ you name it Iโve done it.

If you wish to continue using your groups discord VC in addition to playing GGD, you need to go to the settings in Discord, click on 'voice' and 'enable mobile overlay'
This will allow discord to stay open while you use other apps

I'm pretty sure I earned R-ejected on a non-space map. At the time, it wasn't as high of a priority because the majority of the maps were in space. That is no longer the case. This wording is what made me notice it. I think it may have mentioned space before, but I'm sure that I checked and noticed that I was making progress on a non-space map sometime ago. I always thought it was odd because every other hidden steam achievement is nearly exclusive to the space maps.

I think you're right on that. I joined shortly after Manor was added, and while I wasn't checking my achievements regularly back then, I'm pretty sure I earned notches for every time I was voted out.

Can there be a dark outer glow around the names of the locations on the map of Ancient Sands? The bright text color on the bright background doesn't sit well with low-resolution devices, and thereby, people with less-than-stellar eyesight.
No one is happy when a meeting is called, someone asks where someone was, and they're genuinely trying to tell everyone, but they're in The Farm encompassing an entire meeting trying to figure out that they're in The Farm.

For dine and dash the kill cool down for the ducks is kinda too long
well the first one before any kill
It's something that people use to determine who the falcon is though
If someone can kill faster than that cooldown, they know the falcon is among them
It's definitely part of the balancing. If you're with a small group and a kill notification happens, you know none of the group is Falcon (but could still be the Vulture!)
I do agree the pacing at the start could be better.
I guess the kill cooldown for the ducks could be slightly lower at the start, but it should still be higher than the falcon
I feel it's at a good balance. The high cooldown for the Ducks allows time to explore and try to find others and clear each other by morphing. Lowering the kill cooldown very much would just turn it into a Goosechapel pub-style bloodbath. Moreso than Dine and Dash already is 
Every time I play Dine and Dash with a new group, the ducks tend to indiscriminately slaughter. The one good thing about the initial long cooldown is it protects you that little bit and lets you either gather together or spread out, depending on your preferred strategy.
So true, everyone just stands there wondering โnow what?โ and as soon as the cooldown resets half the lobby gets murdered nearly instantly
It also gives you time to explain the mode to new players, although half the time they just start murdering anyway
Are you supposed to be able to hear whoever you look at as Birdwatcher? For example, when there's several walls in between you and the person you look at?

I believe the only time you should hear through walls is when seeing through peephole spots
I was at the armour stand in Mallard, and I was looking upon a person at the leafpile (so two walls in between) and I could hear the sound of their fart
And also the ticking noise of someone else in another spot, with a wall in between me and them
Neither of which had a peeping hole.

I've only been able to hear bomb ticking through walls as Birdwatcher. The times I thought I heard voices was actually just someone near me I didn't see until I looked around myself, and not people I was trying to observe through walls.
I have noticed you can hear a person ticking when you see them through walls with Birdwatcher, but not their voices.
Yeah, that would make sense. It's probably only fart noises and the ticking bomb sounds so far. I feel like I would've noticed being able to overhear people sooner with it.

so if you're a professional, if you had the requisite knowledge, it would make sense for you to wait for your partner to initiate a doublekill, for example
and killing first would be a mistake, and i think a pretty funny one a lot of the time

I actually won a game by eating instead of killing. Accidently ate a body next to a person fixing a sab, instead of killing them, and that actually cleared me.
Did they see you eat the body and thus thought you to be vulture? Or did they think you were also trying to fix the sabotage, and thus spared another round?
Thought I was also fixing sab. My partner killed next to me and I ate the body and that ended up clearing me because I think we were on 5 after the sab fix? So the other person thought I was full clear cause we were also together the whole round.
I'm a slow killer and like to marinate my goose so it's nice and yummy by the end lol
From the sounds of it, a kill would've ended the game right there and then, but it is still a situation where eating might be better than killing.
Yeah all we needed was a double kill but it still worked out in the end. And admittedly I get a bigger thrill marinating someone until the end and having them break down about how it's impossible for me to be a killer. ^.^

Is it possible to make the ending screen last longer, and maybe have some sort of a game log showing kills etc.? I would love to learn what happened during the game without asking others for details in the voice chat. Currently I can only remember half of the roles at the end of each game before the ending screen fades away.
I see, thanks for letting me know! Still, maybe make the ending screen skip on click or something so that each player can decide for themselves whether they'd like to see it for a few seconds more? Or at least make it an option? I don't think this settings alone would promote toxic behavior. Dead players can spectate anyways and usually at the end of each game most players are dead, so they don't need an more verbose ending screen to get toxicโit's just a quality of life upgrade for those goose who managed to survive far away from the spotlight to learn a bit more about what actually happened in the world at large

Farmed 1k tasks since last time using gold machine, which I paid for. 4 purple turn into 1 gold, 2 golds turns into 150 white tokens, 3 pulls on white tokens turn into all green tokens, pull on green machine 150 silver. I remember when the claw machines were described as win every time on the devlog. You really shouldn't be able to go from the gold machine to white tokens without clearing the gold machine first. It just feels like progress is destroyed so often once your chance for silver increases and you can never actually get the items you want that you bought it for. I've done 10k tasks since the last update, Pretty much stopped playing goose and just speedrun tasks to see how miserable the grind to get the skin I want is and I'm starting to question my sanity. If you complete the task cheetah achievement for 25k tasks can you expect to clear all machines? It seems like the more you progress the higher your chances of having a whole day of speedrunning tasks burnt to 150-400 silver. I'm lvl 230 with 15.5k tasks done btw.
Please make the claw machines cheaper also if you spend 2,000 gold to unlock them you should atleast get enough coins with it to use ! and the pets should give you 100 per game so we can get 300 daily , please add daily challenges
The value of the items in the machines is worth many times their unlock cost in gold. The items are not meant to all be gotten quickly.
Even if it's not meant to be earned quickly it still feels like the opposite of fun to have days of progress destroyed at random chance. Why not just have the materials earned at a rate where you unlock them relative to what the developers intend instead of having the chance to destroy progress increase

ive earned 100k silver since the update just playing doing the tasks, earning 150 silver for two days of progress is a slap in the face erpecially when you pay money for it initially.

I'm sorry that you had bad luck with it, believe me I've had some bad luck with it too. There were problems with the crafting system and there are problems with this system. There will never be a perfect system that everyone is happy with.
Okay look I'm sure you guys have spent a lot of money and R & D and hours creating the math to divide the tokens but it would still make a lot more sense to me if the machines truly were win every time and you just earned the coins at a slightly lower rate it wouldn't bother me at all its just the days where your progress burns that I really am not a fan of. And i love ggd and do feel like you get quite a lot out of the machines for the value if you clear it all
I feel like the silver coin rewards are more of a consolation prize, the closest to losing as they come. Even upgrading the tokens feels like a side step. However, I feel it's a necessary prize for when all the others are gone so that they don't reward nothing but gold coins.
If we we charged a licsense fee for the game not relying solely on cosmetics to fuel the servers (hosting voice is very $$$) we would absolutely do that. Silver is your progress and getting tokens to use in the gacha game is purely secondary. If we made the claw machines easier to win or obtain their value would be higher than the standard progression of the game. It would also significantly decrease the rarity of these items and even devalue the ones people pay real money for.
We're already giving a ton of ways so that players who can't support us can still dress up. We've analyzed other free to play games and we're giving away far more content than most if not all. Keep in mind the entire game and all of its features are not pay-walled.
Asking us to make the coolest rarest cosmetics easy to get is basically telling us to shut down the servers. ๐
An analogy I heard is that we're giving the meal for free and we only charge for the alcohol, heck we're ok slipping a few shots onto the table. We just can't give away the top shelf.
