Proximity chat is being considered for public lobbies, but there are still many considerations underway before it'll happen. To my knowledge, that hasn't changed yet.

Or a duck/goose with a gun would have to shoot them and risk exposing themselves all because someone was annoying

pelican feels kinda like an upgraded version of cannibal. Leaving no trace of bodies constantly always reduces the ability to deduce who the killer is, unfortunately. But I guess you have to keep your eyes open for missing players. Another problem is the teleporter. You might think you know where players are, then they completely switch. I imagine this map is super chaotic and fun

mimic is definitely a strong counterplay to the ninja, since they have to hide in the mist to kill more frequently, the mimic can just camp in the mist and wait for a ninja to appear. Without ample evidence that the mimic is indeed a mimic, the ninja won't kill them at first. Then the mimic calls a meeting and gets the ninja voted out. Downside for the mimic though is the ducks now know they're a mimic and an assassin could take a shot

It's natural to prefer certain roles to others

I love getting Falcon (even if it's piss hard to win as) and Assassin
I get depressed when i'm stuck as Locksmith or Medium for 3 games in a row. or Politician

It happens but we are making a draft mode where you will be able to avoid getting those roles on specific maps

Your draft position can be altered by your previous round's pick

higher picks are slightly less likely to get lower picks in the following game but because of how we will let people select their preferred play there will be a whole new inter-meta gameplay

since then the Avenger could easily slice the Pelican without the risk of someone calling the bell to just sacrifice whoever was eaten. they'd have to be more careful with what they do, i reckon, less they anger a random avenger
Of course, the one who was eaten could be a duck or another goose killing role who could very well kill you in return. which if it's the sheriff, oops, that's 3 dead people

It's not exactly a good sabotage for ducks. Everytime a meeting is called is bad for Ducks. A meeting where someone will absolutely die including them randomly is even worse.

Its not powerful but it can be annoying if spammed.

As soon as it's ready! The gaggle team develop quickly, and we release patches fairly often. We don't often give out firm dates because it's either going to be a lie if we're wrong, or it'll be a rushed product that might sacrifice quality for speed. This could translate into releasing something without sufficient testing and creating lots of bugs for the game.

If you find none of that explanation sufficient, as Herbert always says, today we are one day closer than yesterday.
