I've found the best way to play dodo is to find who is most likely a duck, and start accusing them hard, using only truth, as early as you can

It's not just code implementation there is also other considerations when implementing a role, like general balancing. We also don't want to dump the roles at the same time, it needs to be a steady addition.

Darren is dead on here. Roles change the way other roles play and dumping a number of them at the same time can create a ton of issues with game balancing. Slow and steady = better for everyone. The code takes all of 2-3 hours to put in simple roles. 1 Day for more complicated ones.

It feels like the same people have been getting the same roles over and over, how come it isn't random?

The entire process is random, but it's very human to interpret patterns where there are none. If you had encountered a bug about the role assignment, it would be more likely to be an issue if it the results were absolute - For example, no player ever getting the Assassin in any of their games, or someone 100% of the time getting the Birdwatcher.
Players are also notoriously prone to exaggerate, and might interpret someone getting vampire three games in a row to being ten times in a row.
In short, the role randomization isn't bugged, your brain is bugged.

PS: I was asked to rewrite this and to also up the tone of hostility level from 2/10 to 9/10. Have fun playing GGD!

I suppose the biggest single advantage to this buff is that now you have an easier way to prove you aren't the pigeon.

Unfortunately, we cannot control when bad actors enter a private game, but we do empower you by providing tools to help moderate these games. Conversations that go on in private games are private, we do not have access to the audio in any way. Players themselves ultimately have control of who enters private games. You can block or mute the relevant players in-game and use the in-game censoring filter. If you are the lobby host, you can kick the offending players, and if you are not the host you can ask the host to kick them. Players who get kicked will not be able to rejoin the game unless permitted back in by the host. If the player in question is the host themselves, you and everyone else bothered by their behavior should leave and form a lobby of like-minded individuals, with your own agreed upon rules. If no one else in the game agrees with you, you probably shouldn't be playing in that lobby anyways.
