You can get emojis in your name by simply typing them in. This is easier done on mobile devices that have keyboards which have emojis built in, than it is on a pc, but it can be done on either

Question for all you GGD players: What is something that happened in one of your games that was so cool or so funny or so confounding that you will never forget it?

In my case, I was pelican on Jungle temple. I swallowed someone only to realize that there was someone else in vision of me. I think to myself "okay I better eat this guy too before he outs me in a meeting". I trail him and finally when my cooldown is up, I charge right at him... only for some completely random guy to charge down the hall and overlap my intended meal, unintentionally sacrificing himself. I thought my game was over for sure, but aparently the witness... didn't even notice either of my swallows! Not even the one that happened directly on top of him

Ive played the game for about 2 years now, and there has been so many funny circumstances. My favorite ones are always when I'm playing neutral roles, especially the accidental dodo wins lol.

I once got a dodo win for singing a song when I was party ducked during a meeting. No one uttered an audible word besides myself. After that, I was cackling out of the sheer silliness that had transpired.

And in another game, I was accused of being one of the ducks (when I was only a Pigeon). I said that I was doing the smack rats task; this was on the Jungle Temple, mind you. The accuser's response? "That task doesn't exist! I know you're faking something!". Never have I wanted to both burst out in laughter and throw this player back to Among Us where they belong at the same time.

Someone(we will call him Dave) came up to me and we went to the spot to isolate ourselves and he told me "are you going to tell kill me if I'm not a duck, but also not a goose." I said "that depends" and someone else walked up to us and Dave killed him...I instantly knew he's a falcon and I had this ONE opportunity to betray and kill Dave...but I didn't since he's a chill guy who even trusts me, a goose, to say his bad role

And besides I had this devious and evil and funny idea...I told Dave "hey Dave, I have an idea...let's do a double kill together because that would be REALLY funny"

Dave agreed and we both go to a room where there's 4 people...and I was following Dave's cue to kill and we double kill and we laugh as we report but I still had to vote Dave since it's me, Dave, and 2 other people since I didn't want to throw...turns out the other 2 people were lovers and they won...the other 2 people, whom we double kill, was a funny result ...one of them a duck(Dave killed) and the other a goose(whom I killed)

Still this is another reason why I love the avenger!

I found a solution to the problem: you need to change the gamepad sensitivity in the control settings. I thought this parameter only affected the minimum stick angle that the game responds to. But it also affects the maximum pointer movement speed when the stick is fully tilted. So, on maps with torches, I set the sensitivity to 90, and the matches light up. Other quests can sometimes be harder because of the stick’s overly sharp response, but lighting is more important)

hii, weird question but if yall play w vc over phone do other people tell u it echos? Cuz I tried and even w headphones still echoed for them

Phones are weird. With out head phones it tends to echo because the mic picks up the audio that is playing from the game. I know there's echo cancelation settings but it might not always fix the issues, so you could reduce the volume of game sounds in the settings but then you might have a hard time hearing people.

With headphones, if they don't have a built in mic, or are wired, the audio quality also tends to suffer unless they are really good and reputable branded ones. But sometimes the aux port has dust or damage. It's weird.

Most of the time if I was on mobile and my device was echoing, I'd just do push to talk settings instead of voice activity.

Yea i cant get into quick plays. Random lobbies tend to be hit or miss. Had good ones that ran a lot. Had ones where ppl ruined the fun or itd just be constant 5 ppl games that last under a min xD

One recent incident of this:
I join a lobby with 2 ppl in it. One of them starts spamming "start" in the chat. (Which obvs we cant with 3 ppl) they did this when a 4th and 5th join.

There is a very distinct difference between being a copy and being in the same genre. Games that are in the same genre are naturally going to seem similar. I don't ever see anyone call tekken a street fighter clone, for example.

They are 2 different games in the same genre that have developed in 2 different directions. They are the same in terms of "punch the other player until their hp hits 0", but they still have completely different identities to them.

I would also like to point to their different philosophies in terms of game design. You see element in one you would not see in the other. GGD has for example has a metric ton of roles, while au would rather stay simple with only a few. However, the few roles that au has are extremely powerful (looking at GA in specific) and would likely be heavily changed or not added at all to comply with ggd's design philosophy.

Yep, though they were likely only added because of community demand. I'm very certain it would have stayed crewmate/impostor otherwise. And even then I can count the number of au roles on my hands, while I would have to grow extra hands for ggd's (or just count in binary, like the nerd I am). Now that they do have roles, they would rather keep special roles as "specialists that can do very powerful things and are very useful for their team" compared to ggd's roles as "everyone can do something special. Nothing too powerful, but still impactful".

All in all, in a nutshell, similar != clone. That is my ted talk of the day.

I feel like it ruins the entire social deduction part of the game

This is a graphical driver failure, and happens when your DX11 drivers write the wrong resolution to your registry.

If you are using windows, type WINDOWS+R to open the run window. Type in “regedit” and launch the registry editor. Various hours of the day will see higher and lower player numbers and some times may be more active than others.

I love mimic! every time the game starts, I get to walk up to someone and say "I know what you are" as they walked past me and killed someone in front of me

especially when I cover for them for a little bit until i get them to kill their own partner! it's very funny...and ironic since I used to think mimic is pointless until I started to think out of the box and stopped acting like a goose and acted more like a duck even if in front of a goose

Mimic is great fun. Your very existence is enough to cause the ducks to potentially civil war each other thinking one of their actual partners is Mimic, and utilizing it has practically limitless flexibility. It hurts my heart that people hate the role so much and give themselves away immediately if they random into it.

But mimic is not that hard when you don't care if the geese sus you since you are trying to be REALLY sus to make the ducks doubt their partners

either way it's just a silly goofy role

but combine by my weird luck that I mostly encounter ducks/neutrals as the first person I see makes it REALLY engaging
