Just the way RNG works.
Is you put the numbers 1 to 16 in a hat and take a number, put it back in. You have the exact same chance of drawing the same number again.

It feels like the same people have been getting the same roles over and over, how come it isn't random?

The entire process is random, but it's very human to interpret patterns where there are none. If you had encountered a bug about the role assignment, it would be more likely to be an issue if it the results were absolute - For example, no player ever getting the Assassin in any of their games, or someone 100% of the time getting the Birdwatcher.
Players are also notoriously prone to exaggerate, and might interpret someone getting vampire three games in a row to being ten times in a row.
In short, the role randomization isn't bugged, your brain is bugged.

PS: I was asked to rewrite this and to also up the tone of hostility level from 2/10 to 9/10. Have fun playing GGD!

I think A is your active ability, most commonly kill but it can do others. C is the hiding ability, but it's also Silence, Party, Go Invisible or Sample/Morph. B would be the sabotage menu, and I don't recall anything else having it.

I could be wrong about any of these or their orders, but those are the three abilities ducks have, and generally considered the base buttons that can be used.

I don't have anything against it, I actually enjoy games like that. Valheim being the most recent in that subset of survival crafting genres, but I absolutely hate the fact that anytime a major patch comes out that includes new biomes and areas and whatnot, that you essentially have to start from scratch. I think draft mode will be awful for ducks, because everyone knows every role in game, I know it has random, but you can inocent players so easy and you cant fake a role. If everyone knows each other role, ducks cant fake it. If only ducks knows what roles are in game would fix that problem

There are many potential root causes that may contribute to a microphone not working.
Please make sure that you are not deafened or muted, and also have the correct input devices selected.
If you are on Windows/Mac, try turning "echo-cancelation" on and off in the game settings found at the bottom of the Sound Settings.
If this does not work, in Windows, open your sound settings, and then the correct devices are set to Default Devices, rather than Communication Devices.
