I love spiders because of when I was a kid, I would go to every corner of the house and find the smol little spiders on their webs. I'd take them off and let them play on my arm. Never was bitten (I don't think they were even big enough to...)

It's like I thought I had a fear of heights .. but couldn't explain being able to sit on my bedroom window ledge or in a tree ( when I was younger ) but uncomfortable in lifts and stepladders. Until I went to visit a friend in Florida and could practice swimming in his pool. Found out why I have never been able to swim .. fear of falling .. my feet can't come off the floor for more than a few seconds. I go into a panic attack every time.

gotcha .. yeah we got them for medicinal purposes and then when reading up saw the repellent usage so thought I'd try it ... usually get spiders sneak in during the stormy weather but none the last few days and 1 a week or two ago .. and none before that for a year or so .. at least not out in the open ChapaaChuckle

yeah, I rarely open my window except in the middle of summer a crack for a bit of air flow - I have my reed diffuser in the middle of the room almost on top of a unit. I've grown used to the smell now but when I am downstairs for a long time and come up I can smell it again so know it is working rofl - when it runs out I just refill it

Harvest Moon and Story of Seasons are both developed by Marvelous, and were previously published in the West by Natsume in the US and Rising Star Games in the UK. However, after a lot of instances of Natsume's questionable-at-best decision making with regards to localization, Marvelous dropped them and began publishing with XSEED.

Natsume owns the copyright to the name "Harvest Moon", and rather than fight them about it, Marvelous and XSEED simply rebranded to "Story of Seasons". They've released a remake of Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town, and honestly most of the Harvest Moon Games aren't very interconnected - there wasn't much of a "saga" in the first place. So basically they've just continued in the direction they feel the series should go in, as the actual developers who have always been behind it.

What makes the apparent "saga split" is that Natsume continues to develop """Harvest Moon""" games to ride the coattails of work they didn't do, without acknowledging that they aren't the original developers, and occasionally going as far as to block people on twitter who ask about it or call it out. Whatever anyone thinks of their new games, that's...certainly not a fun way to handle things, you know?

So ultimately there's still "Harvest Moon" running around because Natsume refuses to let a name go under, a name they only ever did translation & localization work for. Nobody has asked them to relinquish it, exactly, but they were never the ones doing the work to develop those games.

I think that's how they keep beached whales alive as long as possible .. but I feel it has something to do with gravity/weight/balance etc. Whales and Dolphins probably need the water area to keep from dying from air pressure. Or some such sciency thing I have no real knowledge of. ChapaaChuckle

Constant need of rehydration therefore especially lack of feet or paws result in beaching. I think dolphins evolved this way because they've been more intelligent than many other salt or fresh water dwelling fish and wanted to get to understand humans better. Perhaps they are evolving to the point they will one day be land dwellers.

basically it boils down to, there's 117,000 people in this server, and so there's a pretty low chance of any individual person getting in.

Collectively, the odds based on how many people have gotten in at a guess - and it's a guess since we don't know how many alpha testers there were for this last test compared to pre-alpha testers - look juicier.

I also did Jinx, but not a owing a soda, we did touch wood, and whichever one lagged behind was banned from talking until someone said their name.

If they talked anyway they usually got like a punch to the shoulder or something

@lilac zephyr Yes as per Dawn's response Pre-Alpha was 1400 people. The first alpha invite wave was estimated at 1k-2k per day for 3 days. Although we don't know numbers for the second wave it too lasted about 3 days. And on that last announcement the following was added We will be having lots more playtests throughout 2022, so if you did not receive an invite, please keep checking back! So, give them a while to apply feedback and additional changes they may want to make and I am sure quite soon there will be another set of invites going out. Watch #📢│palia-news for when they start sending them.

I don't think it's hard to imagine because if it was hard to imagine, I think there's a lot of people who simply wouldn't sign up for tests. If they can't imagine getting in, why would they bother trying, right? But people do try. I'm sure they do imagine. I know I did, and I still remember back during Wave 1 of Pre-Alpha when I was saying "have fun everyone!" and my name showed up gray.

hard to believe it'll actually happen...that I can buy, though. firechapaa I never thought I'd get in for real, I was just super hopeful. Maybe I can apply the same kind of luck when playing PSO1 and get some more rare drops...
