I believe they had a short sign up window, that they adjusted at some point, so there were two sign up windows or something, so you may have missed the second one (not sure if it matters), though I'm sure I read yesterday or the day before from Amelia that they have a filtering system in place to filter out duplicate email result problems, so I don't think there is harm in going to their site and signing up again.

alpha is earlier version of the game, and less refined. Beta is "almost ready" but it depends widely depending on the genre, devs, etc.
