While I totally get that, there honestly isn't a lot of playing going on. Not to say that what you're doing isn't playing, but it's more or less testing each feature to the fullest to see if it works as intended. We know eating and sleeping have some sort of benefit, but not necessary. Whether items will offer a bonus or not hasn't been mentioned

As to how you get into the professions/skills. I suspect it will be just by doing them .. you have the tools, just use the tools on the items it lets you et voila you gain skill in that item ... but, whether that will be how it is .. I don't know 🙂

yeah, kinda. we call them neighbourhoods (PNN - Palia News Network for example). as far as I know they're all communuity based for now, but will probably continue on in the game as well later on.

Regarding the neighbourhoods .. whether those of with tags will use said tags to create a neighbourhood or whether we just create a neighbourhood to test neighbourhood stuff with is unknown at this time - because we don't know if we will get into the alpha yet but .... there was this dev comment regarding the early tests and the neighbourhood system - [S6] BuscoBear — 06/05/2021 Folks in the preAlpha will get to see a bit of our plans for neighborhoods If that did indeed happen in pre-alpha, maybe those in alpha will get to see a little bit more as I can't imagine a community based sim not put a large focus on a community element like neighbourhoods.

Thought for the day .. er morning : If they have envisioned Neighbourhoods as cosy .. People that want larger Neighbourhoods may have to trick the system by having a multiple neighbourhood group and switch out so that those that want to play together in the neighbourhood ( assuming the neighbourhoods are more than just a list of member info ) can do so.. They have said that they will have servers placed around the world .. and there may be some regional restrictions .. getting dev post on that now [S6] BuscoBear — 06/03/2021 You won't have to choose a server before you're allowed to make a character or anything, we'll let you go to where your friends are. But play between regions may have some restrictions so we can keep our network performance up. [S6] ItNightshade — 06/04/2021 I can't speak exactly to where you are, but expanding servers across the globe should eventually happen as we expand localization support, and work with distribution partners. As long as everything goes well.

So, in theory, it will possibly start you off in a server best suited for you location wise .. and then via in game mechanics you will get to switch to play with your friends ... where the restrictions come in I can only imagine group activities where timing may be more of a factor

To give you an idea on your chances - sorry but it might not be good - because they were unprepared for the level of interest we were limited to 1.4k out of the 80k+ people who signed up for pre-alpha . Alpha is said to be more people but still a moderate amount, at the moment we don't have numbers but I am sure we will get that info when they send us our notice possibly a week before invites start being sent out ( we had a weeks notice with pre-alpha )

I don't know whether they will do the same selection routine as before - there were complaints about it. So will just have to wait and see how they will improve on that scenario this time. Likely pure lucky dip.

Not to mention, a certain big pants company that is hardcore internationally-recognized has released one MMO that they PROMISED would be the next king, and it failed. Hard. Another MMO up their sleeves, is basically a import from the East. Seems to have a better prognosis than the failed MMO, but even with that, it led to a lot of people who are just aimlessly googling "decent MMO" and probably ending up discovering Palia.

Yeah. Just selecting a random amount of people or something seems the best for equal chance for anyone.
I for myself don't mind not being an "active member" since I joined 2nd of august '21.
I only got more active myself in the last 3-4 weeks, mostly because of workload.

It might also be that the devs themselves saw a gap in the mmo field to attract those people not playing mmos .. because the mmo they want isn't there 🙂 I mean with 12 billion people world wide and only 12 million playing wow .. thats a big player base not being utilised 🙂

Well, I play league and I’ve played in multiple servers, as well as coached NA Dia1-Master. People who are playing league for a serious goal are usually only toxic to themselves. On the other hand, those who think they are the best at league and so on, usually these people end up being the worst players and the worst human beings.

Had a friend, who was G4. I am a Dia player all along, but had a huge break, so lost a lot of my skills. My old account was thrown back into Silver 4 and the dude had the audacity to argue with me and int in my games, as well as being hella toxic and provocative, while I was just trying to carry the game for him.

To sum this whole thing up, usually the people we find most toxic are in deep conflict with their self-esteem. They are unsure of themselves and so they are trying to attack you first, before you do it on their weak points. Just a defense mechanism

Well... I personally love achievements. But it certainly can become something negative if one has allowed their expectations to go into the excess. Such as making it a requirement to land on top 5 of some tournament... Unrealistic.

What I find would work for me is to make sure a goal is realistic, and allow myself to enjoy the gaming. Most often I enjoy it so hard I find myself meeting and surpassing my goal lol

As I’ve worked in the industry tracking status is based on scanning of the item… it’s probably scanned into the warehouse but yet to be scanned onto a vehicle. See if you have detailed scanning to see if it mentions the same warehouse a few times .. that’s a sign of moving around the warehouse or on/off a vehicle. If it got scanned on a vehicle and then off it may be a drivers driving hours that prompted a return to base to make sure they aren’t breaking the law. Of course US may have slightly different laws

I worked at FedEx for a number of years and to me this sounds like a package that accidentally got double labeled. Occasionally a package will get 2 labels with different destinations or will get reused without obscuring the previous label. then it gets scanned on one label, moves to that destination, then gets scanned on the other label and moves to a different location.

it's more common in winter too because the glue on the labels doesn't stick as well when it's really cold, so they sometimes come off and end up on another package

Working in the rain can be interesting. I remember one time when I used to do tile flooring, I was out in the rain cutting stone tiles with a electric hand grinder, we weren't allowed to do that inside. Well these hand grinders have a lot of vents for air, and when water gets in there, electricity can travel out side of the casing, into who ever is holding it. So here I am cutting stone in the rain while being electrocuted for 9 hours. My arm was tingly for 2 weeks.
