The emotes, community integration, the way questions are taken from the community, etc. allow for a good flow of info, even though we don't have a lot of crucial information, it doesn't feel like we have to analyse every pixel of every picture they send our way

Thats okay, the trick is knowing if a discussion is starting to go away from the focus of the channel and then just following up with your next reply by simply posting in the correct channel and tagging the user in question.

True, but that's for a released game, it's a bit different when the game's yet to be out. I agree that there's a lot behind the scenes (and at these stages community management can be kinda seen as not as important, therefore a bit neglected), but you definitely see it in the type of content provided for the community and the state of the community (since it's fairly small, isolated and it's more in team's control)

from my experience, Q&As in general are less about getting info out of the devs and more giving them an opportunity to tell us what they're ready to showcase 😄

The question about things like Multiboxing, Smurfing, or use of macros is whether or not it creates the perception of a "competitive advantage." We already know that Palia in its overall design philosophy to be not be competitive. (Source: #❓│old-team-answers-alpha message) but on the flip side they have confirmed there will be more incentive to group up cooperatively for certain tasks (Source: #❓│old-team-answers-alpha message). So its going to come down to identifying if such actions like Multibox disrupts other player's gameplay experience and if it does, it is much more likely they will crack down on any deviant behavior.

I mean if someone get's something by multiboxing they will never get memories of teamwork with friends or strangers. That's why I don't care if someone will get an end game item because it's hollow victory for me.

I don't mind multiboxing for someone, like, RPing multiple characters or using multiple clients in order to participate in the zone chat of two zones. Really my only issue is when people multibox to gain tangible advantage in gameplay and/or use automation to move multiple accounts with a single button press.

Most of the games I play seem to be in agreement about that with regard to multiboxing; that it's fine as long as you're not automating and/or being nefarious in your usage. Trouble is, lots of people are nefarious which can hopefully be addressed with a good reporting system.

It's a community simulation mmo .. their web page is at palia.com if you want to read up more about it there. Almost sandbox gameplay where you can do as little or as much as you want and apart from the introductory quests you have almost free reign to what you can do.

There are 2 documents pinned to this channel that may help you catch up. One by Vlad is a collection of answers given back in June. The best way to look at it is imagine all those mmos out there and switch the priorities .. where the other games have you kill stuff to progress and sidelines things like housing and crafting, Palia does the opposite having social connections, housing and crafting the priorities and combat something to consider later on .. outside of hunting.
