The problem is that the gameplay is just so early on and most likely gonna be changed a bunch, so the devs are just not going to show any of it for a while most likely.

I understand that at launch, the default race will be Human. My question isn't whether there will be any others at launch, but rather, are there any plans for the other represented races to be unlockables?

Kyle Hill talks briefly about sleep paralysis in one of his livestreams on YouTube and puts it in a very understandable way; it's scary because you don't have a "reality check" - that is to say your state of consciousness is altered and your mind doesn't have a frame of reference based in reality to check your experience. That said, my sleep paralysis episodes are vaguely lucid, and I'm able to fall back on some of my meditative breathing to diminish it's more esoteric effects.

I skipped Skyward Sword. The N64 LoZ titles turned me off the franchise tbh. I hated most N64 games and turned me off to most franchises. I had the two GBC LoZ games that were linked or w/e but I didn't play a LoZ title until Windwalker and BotW.

I think we have different definitions of "grindy;" to me, "grind" is an old-school term meaning you have to kill monsters in the wilderness to level. That hasn't been necessary in ESO since beta.

A town usually denotes a larger population .. villages become towns when the population grows. So, being called Bahari Town ( if I remember rightly ) could mean its a fairly big town large population .. and all we have seen is the town centre in the close ups.

Yeah - Settlement Hierarchy on wikipedia states 10k as the lower range for a large town. So, it could be a larger than a village which generally only has a few hundred residents.

Redirecting back to Palia ... 🙂 before we are requested to stop - Bahari Town could have several non specific villagers but we get to interact with key residents .. so we may only get to work with 20 or so of them but there could be 100s .. although they may only be active if someone is near their last recorded location.

Some games have a mechanic where there's non specific NPCs like that, that don't do anything other than make an area feel more populated.

With Palia being an mmo though, other players would likely fill that roll out a bit.

It's been said 100 times already but I've not seen any reply for it so I'll ask again. Are taverns going to be in the game and are they going to function as a place for the community to gather through different mechanics? Maybe a buff could be gained by staying there for a short time or players could buff each other. Would be a great way to meet new people and for new players to ask for advice.
