Hello, my name is Wippit and I'm a non-alpha spouse. It has been 26 days since pre-alpha took my wife. I may have been a bit of a bad boy today.

Right after lunch, I snuck into the basement and flipped chicanery the breaker off for the entire house. Oh no! No power! And since the power didn't come back on within a few minutes, I convinced Passion that it will be off for a while - let's go to the beach! And so, to the beach we went with the kids, to enjoy sun and sand.

Well, after watching her shake with withdrawal symptoms for over 90 minutes, I confessed my chicanery. We packed everything up, headed back home, and I turned the power back on. Everything restored back to normal.

I just got back from the emergency room, the punch she threw split my lip pretty bad.

When the first announcement of pre-alpha invites were announced, the palia chat channel was being extremely overwhelmed with gifs to the point where it was causing technical issues with Discord for many users. The S6 community team turned off gifs in this channel to cut down on that spam.

the problem i have with farming vs hunting is that farming require a lot more time/money at start up. seeds, fertiliser, tools. and then the wait time as things grow. with hunting all you need (in most games) is weapon, ammo, and somethign to kill

I'm hoping that the alpha testing of Palia going well and is getting a wide enough array of criticism/feedback on systems/gameplay aspects. Since it's been awhile I haven't been around here. I'm kind of wondering how the culture of tester community functions atm. Are there cliques? are there people being pushed aside? Is it proving to be very inclusive of all kinds of opinions? How is the dev-to-tester relationship and is there a good enough distance between the two?

I feel like it needs just a touch of edge. Not necessarily like blood and guts or anything crazy, but just a sense of danger. Like characters having more prostheses or a sense that there is a big world out there going on while the game revolves around crafting and stuff. Like you'll meet a guard on leave in his parade uniform and his rifle assuming it's like WW1 for some reason

Farm/craft/ husbendray makes trade packs, then use wagons/ships/mount to travel and trade the furture you go the more payout.

Only problem in archeage was teleport hackers kept breaking the econemie.. because the more packs got turned in at one point the less coin they give for a duration.

i fee like a good solution to a customisation crafting system would be more like a character creator style thing, building something based on pre-made presets

you can still report objects, but its more difficult to make inappropriate stuff

but again, it would need alot of hours put into it for it to come out right, you know?
like making all of the presets and collision meshes

i feel like at that point, the amount of effort needed just sends up with the idea being scraped, and thats just real sad

27 days. Today is my last day of vacation. It's funny how 9 days of vacation passed like blinking my eyes, but 27 days of pre-alpha separation feels like 6 months. Would players want pet battles or simply pets that follow you for aesthetic reasons?

I myself prefer pet battles only bc I feel it's useless to have something following me and sometimes it feels annoying.
