Hello, my name is Wippit and I'm a non-alpha spouse. It has been 22 days since pre-alpha took my wife. I know a lot of my nightly self-help discussions make me look like a whiner baby, so I wanted to clarify something: I am happy my wife got into pre-alpha, even if I didn't. I know how much it means to her.

Because of her nerve damage, she can't get out very often into nature. So she likes to play games which bring nature to her. And although I don't know what's going on in there, just through her reactions I know that this isn't an ordinary MMO being developed. People are going to love this game.

Also, and I ate a peanut butter protein bar with "powdered crickets" as the second ingredient today. Still don't know how I feel about that.

I had the cutest little blue rat, her name was Cura ✨ but I turned out to be slightly allergic. So we found her a wonderful home that took care of other rats. The dog loved her so much they send us pictures of Cura riding the dog around the house!

I was holding a friend's pet rat so she could go into a shop. The rat knew me well, and loved to climb into the loose armpit section of my jacket sleeve. His little tail was sticking out. So cute!
The cop knew us well, as we hung out there a lot, and he was notorious for bullying the homeless teens who hung around Third Street ( a very busy outdoor shopping area near the beach ).
He marched up to me and started chewing me out, claiming I was "brandishing a rat" and that was "just like second hand smoke" because I was "infringing on people's rights."
I corrected the heck out of him, and did so very loudly so passers by knew what was happening.

I am confident there will be no bicycle cops in Palia.

But to be fair, the pre-Aplha hasn't been live THAT long, so I'd guess (without knowing how much is actually in game) at LEAST 30 - 60 days before it closes, more people are let in OR we see a full alpha. Apparently crafting will have several steps to it depending on what your making. In the example they talked about cooking and mentioned that a person could make the item themselves or someone could help them. Something along the lines of Player 1 would start a cooking task, and player 2 would start a cooking task that would be needed to complete the final product. Player 2 finishes their task then goes over to player 1 to help them finish their task. By the time they finish, since they were both working on the craft, they both get the finished product!

Real quick, on the subject of building neighborhood buildings, I 100% want there to be visual progress with the building, seeing the foundation get built, the frame the walls get put up. Had that in FFXIV and it just feels so good getting to see the little steps of progress that you get to make. Rather than just get all the materials at once and now theres a building there.

Rin & Cin: The story of two harmless kids found in a deaplated home in the middle of a forest, Players will find these poor kids out of the blue where he swore was an empty field not a day ago.

The story progresses and the player helps these kids find there way, repairing the house and helping the kids learn to farm. The player has grown attached and starts to care for the kids as their own, alas it was not meant to be on a cold winter night, he ask Cin how they arrived here and where there parents were.
"I have none" She explains while laughing.
"But today I think I found one" she continued while she burst into flash a white, the players eyes eyes burned with the image of a holy figure and the touch of cold hitting them as the house disappeared.

A different branch has been played out however in a world away, the beginning of the story is the same, a player stumbled across the house. However that is were the similarities end. Where one was kind and supportive this one found the two kids and saw profit, he forced them to farm and abused them. Using them for profit as he traveled, abandoning them to their home and only coming back to receive their spoils. One night the player asks Rin who there parent was, a simple request to make sure the player tracks were covered.
"I have none" they reply with anger in their eyes.
"And I still don't" They snarl as a lion replaced the small figure. With a quick leap the cabin was covered with blood and the cabin, with the player, disappeared.
