I agree, from real-life forges you never want to melt the metal. From what I've seen that's either a smelter or someone who "casts" metal (pour molten metal into a mold), not a smith.

I don't think there was a way to unfortunately. I'd reccomend trying to resubmit if you're worried. But as far as the pre-alpha goes, the devs have met their planned 1,400 mark for testers.

I imagine if they do future tests they'll talk about the application process again since so many people have submitted questions about it.

They have done two waves of invites so far.

They only intended to invite 1400 for the pre alpha, but I can't imagine they wouldn't roll more out for the further stages.

Traditionally, there would be both alpha and beta testing to predate a release, and it would be pretty insane to launch a game with such a small testing pool.

Current testers are under a strict NDA, so they are not allowed to tell us anything that isn't already public. They have, however, reported that the game so far is "fun" and "worth the hype."
