Typically the game will be available to play for the selected testers during a scheduled time frame. How often that happens depends on where they are in the development process, and what goals they have in mind for that phase. I would be utterly shocked if there server was already perpetually available in this phase of testing, so don't expect to just be able to log in right away if you are accepted.

I don't know exactly what S6 looks for in invites, but having activity as a major factor would definitely make me glare eyes.
