crit by wall of text. i think the process for pre-alpha has been quite iterative. i mean, most things that actually get done these days are. but like, they weren't expecting so many people to sign up for the pre-alpha. so i'd think they'd then have to use criteria they probably didn't consider as critical determinants before. because if you can go back in time, and launch that servey again, as s6. would you still ask for region, if you knew you wouldn't choose anyone from certain regions (assuming that's a thing). or would you make it a mandatory field, you have to tick the box to say yes you're from X or Y region, and not include the ones left out. or at the very least, state that certain regions will be included in later stages of testing. so i think it's been quite iterative in that way. i don't mind being in or out at this point. only a bit of FOMO >< otherwise, just chatting here is good!

I'm never too sure if you can say people don't want to report. Unfortunately you have to prioritise some fixes over others - so a lot of things reported i.e. Stuck bugs etc don't necessarily need to get fixed if it's in a remote spot.

Likewise - It's an interesting discussion point; practically every game i've tested, no-one tests end game & everyone polishes the beginning. (Under the argument that they don't want to ruin the game for themselves) Arguably, they've tested - just not the repetitive & arguably most impt part of the game that people invest most their hours into.

Flip side of course is that the devs can fix all that later on.

i'm carefully optimistic. i'd love the waves to be weekly if we do get 6 more, so knowing for sure that you won't make it in isn't stretched on forever. i also liked perin's theory that the q&a tomorrow would be timed nicely since the day after the invites still has a lot more people looking at the chat.
the team that is welcoming the fresh testers arriving after a wave might be a different team than the people that look at the reports once the first batch of ttesters is testing so it's not completely out of question that they'll invite more even though the others haven't started testing yet.

You should put together a plan that includes time away from screens and other bright lights, have a relaxation time period before when you want to go to sleep to let your body and mind settle. This planned sleep time should aim to get you whatever the ideal number of hours of sleep is for you, whether it's 8 or something else, but at least the very least 6 hours. Make sure the temperature is comfortable, if slightly cold when you lay down to go to bed and don't permit yourself to engage in any distractions, like looking at your phone, getting up, reading, etc, once you lay down to sleep. Just focus your mind on the infinite and all encompassing void that is slowly ingesting our Universe, and how its frozen embrace will one day be all we can know and experience.
