It used to be that pre alpha would be only a small group of vetted people and the animations wouldn't even be done.

Now, a lot of testing phases are nearly animation complete, but lack features.

I think it's hard to judge the timeline without being in game to see what needs work still.

Testing phases have broadened in definition over time-making it very hard to guess on launch dates.

I'm famailar with 3d rendering and have seen engines in use (hubby does engine side tinkering).

It's a lot easier to have a models in a scene than it is to have all the tags, inputs and coding donw for actions and interactions.

i think you'll be able to craft most furniture, but there might be some rarer stuff gained through quests
there could be achievement exclusive furniture too, like a shimmerfly statue for catching 50 shimmerflies or whatever
