Everyone else in ACNH does custom paths in their villages. They look beautiful, but I can’t do it. Why? The sound design. Custom paths in that game make almost no sound when you run on them, whereas the default paths are ASMR bliss

I also have audio sensory issues because ADHD brain here. And I love how during our playtests, the team has been curious to learn more about how I've had bad experiences with other games that have limited audio controls.

That's a real thing. It's the difference between hearing and listening. Some attention disorders make it difficult for you to multitask, and that can translate to being unable to hear when you are working on something.

It's way more common than you'd think, because disorders themselves are present on a wide sliding scale of severity, so you might only have minor symptoms but still have trouble hearing when you're distracted. Your ears are fine, but your brain is busy.

Yeah, I totally get that! But some games intentionally make font smaller to fit more on the screen at one time. While adjusting the font would be considered accessibility, the font size still an important consideration for the very beginning as well if the whole thing is starting out text-based

I hope it's a marriage of the two. I love games that let you place things anywhere but it drives my OCD wild when I can't place things perfectly straight. So maybe something like you can put things anywhere, but holding down shift snaps it to the nearest gridded line if you want things straight.

Furniture Interaction? Forgive us on this one for pre-alpha
Furniture positioning? It may not be 100% free so you can't place items inside each other but you can clutter surfaces like tables or shelves with little items so long as they all fit.

there is some pros and cons to being in an alpha. Burn out before the game is released is a risk due to wipes resetting you fairly often. Plus the entire seeing the sausage get made deal can turn some people off because they simply can't handle when things go far too bonkers. But the benefits usually includes getting to know the team and being part of a rather wonderful community. Plus depending how far they are in the Alpha and how open the developers are open to suggestions capable of putting your own mark in the game.
